This toothpaste tastes good, but as far as cavity protection goes, well, it's nothing special. I bought it because I am prone to cavities. I have weak enamel. I used to use aim whitening toothpaste. It's cheaper. So I shelled out the extra money and gave aquafresh cavity protection a try. I still got cavities. It worked about as well as the cheaper brand. I am willing to pay for quality, but the only thing better about this toothpaste was the taste. I don't know what they do to toothpaste to make it "extra strength" or "enamel strengthening" or "cavity protection." But I have the sneaking suspicion that the only toothpastes that work are the whitenings. This Aquafresh Cavity Protection toothpaste tasted very good. It made my mouth fell fresh, it was an intensely strong sensation while I was brushing with Aquafresh Cavity Protection toothpaste. This toothpaste certainly makes you feel like you are going to be protected from cavities. On the tube it says that it protects for a full twenty-four hours. So, in theory, you should only have to brush your teeth once a day. Even so, I have excellent oral hygeine habits because I've had to compensate for having weak tooth enamel all of my life. I brush when I wake up, before I go to bed, before I go to work, and halfway through my shift when I take my lunch. I only floss and rinse with mouthwash once a day though, before I go to bed. That type of hygeine, plus a "special cavity protection" toothpaste, should be more than enough. Especially when the toothpaste is suppossed to form a barrier on your teeth that prevents decay. However, I have to go back to the dentist on Friday to have three small cavities filled. I normally have from one to three cavities each time I go, and I wasn't expecting any this time because of this toothpaste. I was very dissapointed.

Our daughter had to get braces so we have been going through a lot of different brands of toothpaste as she looks for brands which help her the most to get the protection and level of clean that she needs. The brand that she has been most happy with up to this point has been Aquafresh Anti-Cavity formula. The pretty paste with the red, green, and white stripes is not only pretty but has a nice wintergreen type of flavor instead of the sharp high level mint flavor that is sickening sweet. When it comes to braces, our daughter has to not only be concerned with cleanliness, but also with the ability to clean spots that people without braces have to be concerned about. I do not sense that the minty breath freshening lasts as long as I would like, however. I still prefer the Eco-Dent Tooth powder, but for now, our daughter is really into this toothpaste. I wonder if it is was just white if she would still like it as much....

There are a zillion different variations of the Aquafresh toothpaste, but I think the Cavity Protection Aquafresh is one of the more basic ones. Despite that, it is a very satisfying toothpaste. The packaging makes Aquafresh toothpaste look extra appealing, and the stripes of red, white, and green are aesthetically pleasing as well. When I brush my teeth with this toothpaste, my mouth feels so fresh and so clean afterwards. This Aquafresh toothpaste is also a great value. I usually buy the biggest tube of toothpaste available, but it is nice that Aquafresh toothpaste comes in a travel size so that I can take it with me on plane trips. This toothpaste is most definitely a winner. Two thumbs up from me!

Yep, this is the red, white, and blue toothpaste, although the colors are already blended together when they exit the tube. I typically purchase Aqua Fresh toothpaste at a local store and I have turned into a repeat customer. This toothpaste tastes great, without the excessively strong mint flavor that other toothpastes often have - you know the flavor. It's the one that stings and burns the tongue because of its mint content. Mint content aside, it is an added benefit that Aqua Fresh Cavity Protection Flouride Toothpaste also cleans my teeth and removes plaque and tartar. I don't think the manufacturer actually claims that the toothpaste whitens teeth, but I think it has this benefit and noticed that my teeth seem a little bit whiter since I started using this toothpaste. Although this brand is not exactly the high-end type, I still think it is a good product and works just fine for regular as well as occasional use. Try it - I think you'll like it!
