Decent airline; would probably use again!

Aeromexico is honestly a pretty okay airline. My flight to Mexico was delayed by two hours when I went there on vacation last year, but that is expected with all airlines. I waited patiently to board the airplane, and it honestly was not so bad. Something I really enjoy about Aeromexico is that they offer first-class seating for just fifty dollars extra. On most other airlines, it would be around one hundred dollars for first-class. Service The service that Aeromexico offers is pretty average. The on-flight attendants are friendly, and they seem to genuinely care about my well-being which is always a plus. In-Flight Accommodations The in-flight accommodations are actually quite above-average. They serve complimentary margaritas and beer on all flights, and their in-flight full meals actually taste great. I was even given a free blanket by one of the flight attendants after I told them that I was feeling cold.

Oh, the horror!

Aeromexico is HORRIBLE. I don't have a single decent thing to say about this horrible airline. They like to change flight times randomly. They charge you extra fee's out of nowhere. They have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with in my life. I booked a flight for a vacation 3 months in advance. The tickets were pretty low priced but by the end of the whole thing the amount of random fee's that nobody would explain to me actually made it fairly expensive! I was contacted a few days before and the flight time was changed. I was okay with that because things like that can happen. Then the day of I was contacted and told they changed the flight time AGAIN. My friend and I ended up sitting around the airport for a few hours and were finally able to board the flight. We had a connected flight to catch which was also delayed. They informed us of that when we finally arrived at the next airport. More time sitting in the airport, great! I decided to contact customer service to ask what the deal was with the two flight time changes and the delay. They basically gave me no answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the guy said he was the only one available to talk to. I asked for a call back when someone else was available. That call back never happened. I sent the company an e-mail later asking for an explanation of the problems I had. I never got a response. I still have no idea why I was charged so many extra fee's or why my flight got changed TWICE then delayed. We EVENTUALLY got to our destination after wasting almost a whole day in the airport just waiting. Oh, and there were no in-flight accommodations. DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE!

quality reflected in the price

My husband and I flew Aeromexico for the first time for our Christmas vacation to Mexico. We were not sure what to expect. However, as expected, Aeromexico is comparable to your average major airline. I would use Aeromexico more for travel within Mexico verses using it as the main airline of transportation for my vacation. Service While Aeromexico flies to a number of locations throughout Mexico, they only service the major airports in the United States. While I prefer to use the regional metropolitan airport option, sometimes the price is just worth it. In addition, I do not need to worry about having the haste of extra stops or even changing airlines. In-Flight Accommodations The in-flight accommodations for Aeromexico are on par with many other major international carriers flying today. During the flight, we were offered beverages and a complementary snack. In addition, you had some music entertainment at your seat as well.

Smooth Flying With Aeromexico

Aeromexico is one of my favorite ways to get to just about any destination in Mexico. I like them because.... - they serve just about every major city and resort area in Mexico - have easy gateways in the United States - flights are punctual - promotions are usually straightforward (FareSavers, 10% off, etc.) - they do $50 upgrades to first-class (when available) - they serve full meals on flights - they serve COMPLIMENTARY beer, wine, and margaritas on all flights (including short domestic flights on their Aeroliterol commuter line) - I generally get good service there I'm a big fan of some of the young low-fare airlines that are sprouting up in Mexico, but those airlines generally don't fly into the United States, so it's not always practical to fly them. With Aeromexico's lineup of more than a dozen U.S. gateway airports, they're often going to have the **best flight schedules for Mexico trips**, so it's a no-brainer to check their flights before booking with anybody. Aeromexico also has flights to Spain, Japan, and Argentina, making them the only Mexican flag carrier with truly trans-continental reach.Aeromexico's **fleet **is pretty decent, though they still fly a fair number of older MD-80 class jets. They're comfortable and perfectly serviceable, but the fleet isn't top-to-bottom new. Some planes are --- in fact, Aeromexico flies several new Boeings and the Aeroliterol commuter flights are often on new Embraer regional jets, whereas, only a few years ago, they were flying a lot of Fairchilds and the newest small planes were Saab turboprops. Aeromexico's **frequent flyer program**, Club Premier, is not a particularly good program. In fact, it's downright weak. Unless you fly Aeromexico VERY often, it's not worth joining. Miles expire for one thing, and their partner mileage earning is weaker than with most North American airlines. Aeromexico is part of the SkyTeam Alliance, and most passengers would probably be better off taking their Aeromexico miles on a Delta SkyMiles account than on Aeromexico's own program. (Not that SkyMiles is that great anymore anyway, but it's better than Club Premier). The only good thing I see about Club Premier is that their American Express affinity credit card is better than the cards offered by most U.S. airlines.Mexicans sometimes have a reputation for doing things "manana", but Aeromexico bucks the stereotype with one of the best **on-time** records in the world. (For several years, they were the world's number 1 on-time airline, though I believe they've been surpassed recently --- still, their flights run 90% and better on-time, which is double the performance of any U.S. flag carriers (other than the two who fly predominantly in Hawaii).I fly Aeromexico less often today than I once did, but it's only because there are so MANY really GOOD quality low-fare carriers in Mexico. Aeromexico is still a good airline though, and I'd book a flight on them without hesitating. They do me right.

Very poor treatment of customers!

I purchased a flight from AeroMexico that was to take me from Miami, FL to San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico and that flight had a plan change in Mexico City. I received an e-mail that the 2nd leg of my trip has had a schedule change. My connecting flight was moved up in time and was now to depart 5 minutes BEFORE I landed from the 1st flight. So I called the AeroMexico number on the e-mail to talk to them about this issue. The only thing they could do was to put me on the first flight out the next day (in Mexico City), but they would not help with the cost of a hotel stay for me. Then I asked for a full refund since I obviously can't fly with the itinerary I purchased (because as I explained to the person on the phone, you obviously cannot get on a plane when you're still on the other one that hasn't even landed yet!) and they said that they can't give me a refund because the flight was only moved up by *1 hour and 45 minutes* and they only give refunds if it was changed by* 2 hours*! So after trying to resolve this issue for quite some time, I asked to speak with a supervisor and there is NO supervisor there! Apparently, none of the supervisors have made it into the office yet! So, I asked for anyone who would be considered "in charge" and there is no one. I asked him, "if you had to leave work right now, who would you speak with?" He said "no one I guess".  I said that I couldn't believe an airline has an itinerary that they sold to a someone with a connecting flight and made the connecting flight leave before the first flight even arrives and there's nothing that can be done about it??? And there is absolutely no boss at work today? Then I asked when a supervisor might decide to come into work and he said that he doesn't know,...maybe in 30 minutes? I asked for a name and he said that he wasn't sure who was coming in today. He said that he will transfer me to customer service. I asked him what customer service can do for me and he said that I can make a complaint to them and they might be able to compensate me. So then I spoke with someone within that department and went through the same discussions over & over again. Then he place me on hold for the 7th time and another person answered within another department and the once again explained what was going on, and he said the same things. I couldn't get a refund and the only solution was for me to stay overnight on my own dime. The 3rd person I spoke with finally said that he would submit a form to the refund dept. requesting that I get my money back. It would take 6 weeks to get an answer!! I'm at my wits end! I can't believe that these guys are still in business after treating customers this way!

My worst airline experience...beware! Aero-man-yanna

1

I fly over a 100,000 miles a years with United.  There are problems, but they always work it out.  Recently my wife booked a flight on Aeromexico.  We changed our booking per their offer because of the swine flu outbreak.  We've followed their instructions to the tee and we've been real nice but they still can't get our flight rebooked!  It is now 16 calls, going on 12 hours and it is alway, "can you call back tomorrow?"  We have called back tomorrow four times and have been transferred another 20 times and they still can't do anything. Cheap tickets on aeromexico are anything but...  They are a huge hassle and I will do everything I can not to ever fly with they again.  They should be called Aeromanyanna.

The worst airline in the industry. No viable customer service.

1

Aero Mexico is the worst airline in the industry.  Their literaly do not answer customer service inquiries.  You will wait and wait, travel on crowded over sold airflight with very nasty food.  Their unsanitary facilities and food is not up to U.S. standards.  They will also use unethical methods to charge your extra fees that are non refundable.  Good luck. Never ever use this airlines, your better off taking anyother carrier available.

Nightmare to would never again go through

My friend and I planned our vacation 1 year in advance. Finally the day arrives to travel and unfortuantely we had to transfer flights in Mexico City. No getting into the worse customer service we received on that flight alone by the employees on the plane. Well we only had 1 hr to catch our other flight, you would have thought the travel agent would have known it was close to impossible when going through customs in mexico with only 5 people serving over a hundred people. After cutting through the line and finally able to run to the gate for our flight we ask for directions just to be givin the wrong gate number then running to the correct one just to finally getting to our gate with mins to spare to be told that our seats had been givin to someone else. The woman had no remorse suggested we wait for the next flight which was 3 hrs later. When calling the folks on stand by they forgot my friend and I when I questioned the person it was clear she made a mistake and had forgotten about us and we priority. Giving me the worst customer service started ranting on how it was possible that we missed our flight. We sat in the airport for hrs in mexico city. We finally became to exhausted and decided to go back to SFO. We then were told we needed to talk to a manager a mr ortiz who at first was polite then became very unprofessional. I didn't speak spanish but understood everything he was saying and I was shocked, He belittled my friend and I, spoke down to us.. We were an inconvienence to him and coworkers around him. I think if could have spit in my face he would have. We finally got a late night flight back it wasn't home but I'd rather spend a night in a CA airport vs mexico any day. Never ever will I again travel AeroMexico.

High and Dry Honeymoon with AeroMexico

1

I can't write a review for a flight with AeroMexico because I didn't get to take one. After booking our honeymoon trip months in advance they sent us an email saying our flight had been changed to the day before we booked originally. Unfortunately this was the day we were supposed to get married so that was a "no-go". When we tried to explore other options such as the day after the original booking we were told nothing was available until three days later. Hmmm as much as less than a week honeymoon sound like a great deal I should be thankful for...NO THANKS! Oh and don't even get me started with the process of refunding our tickets. All in all we were left high and dry for our honeymoon with no time to plan an alternative.
