I'd needed a circular saw for some time but I resisted because of the expense. Finally, While tearing down an old fence, I caved. I bought the Ryobi CSB121 Circular Saw because it was the least expensive saw I could find that still seemed to be reasonably well built. I'm glad I did. It's got all the power I need to cut up boards. And it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. While it may not be professional quality I think it's plenty good for the occasional user.

The Ryobi CSB121 is a very powerful circular saw.  It has a 7 1/4 inch diameter blade and a powerful motor.  I use a variety of Ryobi 18 V battery operated tools but sometimes the job requires a saw with more power and a deeper cut.  When I work in the shop or have access to an electrical outlet, the CSB121 can cut through any job.  The CSB121 has variable depth of cut and adjustable angles of cut.  The CSB121 uses all standard 7 1/4" blades.  The CSB121 comes with a molded carrying case that stores the saw and extra blades.  This keeps all the components of the saw together and easy to keep up with.  The CSB 121 has a steel casing but is still fairly light for a saw with this capacity.  This saw packs a lot of power and limits kick back.  As with any power tool, the CSB121 should be used only for jobs for which it was intended and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
