Most HelpfulA note of recognition: I was inspired to write this review from a recent one posted by AprileFisher re: Orbitz Travel entitled "A Necessary Evil". Please refer to her review as well for more details.
As a frequent traveler, I am always on the prowl for great deals on flights and hotels. My personal favorite...

Most HelpfulI don't have a lot of spare time. I am lucky that we get to take vacations and planning one takes lots of time so I don't need any trouble when I decide to start my planning and research. Once upon a time about 7 years ago I did use Travelocity frequently for my personal and business travel, now I...
read full review »Travelocity is by far the worst of the on-line travel experiences I have experienced. While easy to navigate, and the cheapest airfares, customer service is far less then stellar, and is based in India.
I booked a flight from Florida to Manila for my Brother-in-Law to attend the funeral of his baby nephew. The Traveocity price was $200 less, so I booked it using my credit card. On the website and the subsequent emails, everything was confirmed and I was told it was a e-ticket. Later that evening (after 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night), I received a call from someone at Travelocity that barely spoke...
read full review »When researching airfare, the majority of people think that the three major Internet sites (Travelocity, Expedia and Orbitz) are all the same. If you are just picking dates/times and doing comparison shopping, you will find that you are generally in the same ballpark with any of these three sites. What many people aren't aware of is that Travelocity has a feature that the other sites do not have that has the potential of saving literally hundreds of dollars on airfare, which I can personally attest to. This feature is their flexible dates search when searching for airfare. Using this feature, you...
read full review »My family is smitten with a roaming bug which has us roaming across the great United States every chance we get. Upon a recommendation from a friend, we booked through Travelocity for our most recent stay. When we arrived, the hotel was fine but the staff were terrible. We left after 15 minutes, refusing to pay to be treated poorly. Little did we know, our nightmare had just begun. The hotel said they would refund 15 minute stay and not charge us for a full night, but since we had booked through Travelocity that Travelocity might charge us. We contacted Travelocity before we...
read full review »Wow... where to start? I booked a flight and hotel package for a trip to Boston. Three days later the company i work for changed the availability of vacation time and any other time off. I called the Travelocity customer service line to cancel my entire package. The representative informed me there would not be a refund of any kind if we went through with the cancellation. From there we spoke to several different people and they gave us the same answers.
We were finally able to speak with a supervisor (Oscar) who seemed very nice and understanding. He told us that the flight would not be refunded...
read full review »On a recent travel experience I had, I have to say that Travelocity does hold true to their modo. Which is guaranteeing the trip at the lowest price. I had to book a last minute international flight, I had originally done it through Hotwire the day before departing and upon checking my emailing the same morning that I was leaving they simply wrote that the flight was not booked. What if I didn't check my email that morning? I went to Travelocity and booked the same flight, then a representative calls me and informs me that the Airline needs a minimum of 24hr notice to confirm it. When I explained...
read full review »My best friend was getting married in Vegas so we had to book the trip. Heard a lot about Travelocity so we decided to use them. MISTAKE. Not only were our flights cancelled on us, the customer service was the WORST I have ever experienced. I realize that the flight being cancelled was the fault of the airline, but trying to rebook and coordinate through Travelocity so four of us had the same flights was a nightmare. Countless hours on the phone, numerous problems with language barriers, never a supervisor to be had - even when we called during the day as advised. While some reps...
