I LOVE the iRobot Roomba 400 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

5

I ? the iRobot Roomba 400 Bagless Robotic Vacuum!! A friend and coworker has an iRobot Roomba and on Black Friday Khol's had them on sale so we splurged and got one. It is wonderful! So cool and entertaining to watch, but it cleans so well. I love how it will circle over a particularly dirty/soiled spot until it detects that it has been cleaned. My mother-in-law has a clean house and told us we could test it on her floors because she "knew" it wouldn't pick up any dirt. Plus, she had just vacuumed the day before. We brought it over and it picked up some "leftovers" even though her carpet appeared newly vacuumed and clean. We were all amazed because we didn't think it would pick anything up at her house. It really helps with my allergies and is most convenient. I am so glad that we splurged and go this because it is worth it, helps me have more time with my family and doesn't hurt my back like the traditional vacuum cleaners do (even the light-weight ones). Versatility hardwoods to carpet to linoleum with ease Design cute too!

iRobot 4000 Roomba Robotic is a great helper!

4

The iRobot 4000 Roomba Robotic Vacuum is a great helper when cleaning the house. I turn mine on while I am doing laundry or dishes to get cleaning finished in less time. One thing that users should remember is that the vacuum is not intended for heavy-duty cleaning, but rather to be used for general maintenance. I have used my Roomba about once a week for about six months and is has not got stuck in a corner or some of the other problems I have seen in other reviews. The worst that has happened is that the Roomba has knocked over my cat's water bowl, which I neglected to pick up. It is also important (as stated by the user manual) to remember to run the roomba until it stops (usually about an hour) and to empty the dust bin after each use. The one problem I have with the Roomba is the noise. It is very loud (as most vacuums are) and very difficult to use while watching TV, reading, or other activities where noise is an issue.

iRobot Roomba 4000 - Perfect Vacuum

5

I LOVE my iRobot Roomba 4000 vacuum.  I've been using it every day since I purchased it a few weeks ago, and it works WAY better than my central vacuum system.  The little guy really packs a punch, I never expected it to clean as well as it does.  I highly recommended picking up some virtual walls, however, because without them he ends up wandering away.  The cleaning pattern seems random, but it ends up vacuuming everywhere!

Good basic iRobot

Yes, I was being cheap and didn't want to pay for a more advanced iRobot. So I suppose I AM missing out on some fancy features and conveniences that other models can offer. For example, I don't have those convenient virtual walls to keep the vacuum in one restricted area. But I'm managing withou them. My house is not too big or open, so I have plenty of real doors to keep my iRobot within limits. The biggest open space in the house is th living room/kitchen. But the vacuum is supposed to be able to clean two rooms at a time and it does. And if it misses something, I just recharge it and run again. The only thing I can't fix is that the round vacuum is useless in corners and all the tight spaces so plentiful in my house. But I suppose all the fancier iRobot models wouldn't be much better about it either (after all they are all round). So those spaces I have to clean with a regular vacuum. Oh, and my iRobot doesn't go back to the recharging station and doesn't plug itself in all on its own. It just stops and starts beeping. Which is fine with me - I go pick it up and plug it in manually - big deal! So in general I'm pretty satisfied with it. Saves me a lot of work.

Roomba saves you time!

I know what you are thinking- how can this little machine clean my floors? It does! I have had one for years, my mom purchased one when you could only buy them on television and we have had a few since. I love that you can start it and walk away. This little bugger will do the vacuuming for you! At first it will start in a circular pattern and then it will begin finding the walls and following them. It will detect stairs, so no need to worry about it falling down! The downside is that the battery seems to wear fast. This is th second one I have and you have to be really careful. First, make sure to charge it completely the first time without interuption. This is very important. Next, remove the cable when it is completely charged otherwise it will begin to ruin. Also if you store it for a long time (months) without using it the battery will deplete itself. So what I usually do is charge the battery the day before I plan on cleaning. Also, don't worry the roomba will get every spot, the GPS guides it to ensure it does so..even when it doesn't look like it is.

The 400 has great potential to be your favorite gift.

I also recieved my 400 ibot as a gift from a Black Friday sale.  My husband thought it was a great idea and just maybe this would allow him to get "Look honey I vaccumed" points.  Honestly it was my favorite gift.  The concept of dropping off this robot into a closed room than coming back forty five minutes later to clean carpets.  AWESOME!         The Roomba is abit high maintance.  I have to close off rooms to keep the Roomba from wondering off.  Pet hair causes you to clean the brushes often.  Also hair dirt and debris finds it's way over the brushes compartment.  The original battery seems to create a slow ibot that only lives for twenty to thirty minutes tops.          All of this does not compare to the benefits.  I upgraded the battery and became a brush cleaning professinal.  Now my Roomba lasts forty five minutes to an hour and cleans at a much faster pace.  I stopped closing off rooms due to it's new found speed.  I also began using my air compressor to blow out filters and body of the robot.  My favorite part is that it is short enough to clean under the beds.  Also I do not have to be home while it is cleaning.

Roomba Rocks!

4

I absolutely adore my roomba vacuum. It is the most marvelous piece of technology! I can let it run completely without much supervision, which has saved me loads of time and back pain to traditional vacuuming. The smart technology although seems a bit scattered does hit every spot in my rooms which is wonderful. The one fault I have found is that it doesn't make those professional lines that normal vacuuming does. Although I have not tried all the features, I think this could be fixed if I read the manual some more.

iRobot Roomba 400

The iRobot Roomba 400 does a good job vacuuming the floors. If there is enough clearance it will go under beds, chairs, and other areas where your vacuum can't go. You can set a virtual wall to keep it in within an area so that it doesn't fall down the stairway if you are vacuuming a hallway. It's a great conversation starter for those that have never seen an iRobot. We have had at least three iRobots in our small office where I work and my boss and his wife have gone through at least two, in their home as their life span (in our experience) is approximately a year and a half before they begin experiencing dizziness symptoms. By dizziness symptoms I mean they have a tendency to sit and run in circles instead of going around the room vacuuming like they should.

iRobot Roomba 400 is nice but won't replace your regular vacuum

4

I recently bought the iRobot Roomba 400 because it was on clearance at the local big box store. I had been curious about the Roombas since they came out several years ago, so I took this opportunity to give it a shot. The 400 model doesn't have a lot of fancy features that many newer models have (virtual wall, automatic return to charging base, etc.) but for my apartment I really don't need those features anyway. I just pick up the clutter off my floor and make sure there's nothing my Roomba can get stuck on, and then I turn it on and off it goes. It runs until the battery dies, about an hour. It says it can do about two regular sized rooms in this time period and I found this to be pretty accurate. I am impressed that it finds its way around to cover all the ground, though sometimes it may miss a few spots on the floor. That's fine by me though, because I just run it every couple days to pick up excess dust that's lying around my apartment. It gets under the couches to reach places I don't regularly vacuum too, so that is nice. It won't pick up big messes, for that you will still need your regular vacuum. If the collection bin gets too full, it will stop and alert you to that fact, and I usually just empty it out after each use. Just pull off the bin and dump it in the trash. They say you need to replace the filters every month I think, but I just rinse them off and let them dry thoroughly and they last much longer. In short, the Roomba 400 is best used for use in between regular vacuuming sessions, which you will have to do far less often when you are using the Roomba regularly.

iRObot 400, it cleans while I sleep!!

4

I recently recieved the iRobot 400 as a gift.  I've seen these in the store and on TV, and always wondered how they work.  I have 4 little children and a shedding dog.  I have dark hard wood laminate floors, so every crumb that is dropped can be seen.  I can never keep up with the vacuuming, so I was so excited to get this gift.  The machine is small and light weight.  It is very easy to use, charge and to empty the dirt, after it has been used.  I turn it on at night, before I go to bed.  I usually lift my dining chairs up so it can clean easier.  The only complaint I have about the machine, is that it is a little loud, and if something is slightly stuck to the floor, it doesn't get sucked up. But the dirt container is always full in the morning, so you can tell it is doing it's job. I can live with the noise.  Anything that saves me a chore to do during the day is great.  I can finally vacuum everyday, without taking the time to do it.  I would definately recommend this product to busy moms.  We need all the help we can get!
