My sister invited me to an exercise class that she was taking 3 days a week that involved dancing and cardio. I had noticed that she had lost weight so I was up to the challenge. Zumba was the name of the exercise class and from the first time I tried it I have been hooked. I didn't have the time to make the class on the days they had it so I bought the Zumba DVD to exercise at home. The video is very easy to follow and I felt like I was in control of how I learned the moves because I could pause the video, rewind it, to suit learning the dance moves. This video has the best upbeat music and the dancers are easy to follow. I will admit I am just a beginner and can't do half the dances the dancers are doing but it doesn't matter! I am having fun and exercising at the same time but it doesn't feel like I'm working out. I literally am in a sweat after 20 minutes of following the moves. I've tried working out at a gym, Curves, yoga, but Zumba has been the only style of exercise that I have stuck with. I am one that doesn't follow a strict diet, but once I started taking Zumba I found myself motivated to take better care of myself. The first week I followed the video 4 days out of the week and by the 4th lesson I was sore all over from the great dance moves that exerted my body. Now that I've finally stuck with this program I've shed 10 pounds and feel better physically and mentally. The awesome thing about doing this at home is nobody is watching you and you can try as hard as you can without feeling like you look silly. When I took the class with my sister I barely kept up with the girl teaching and often felt silly because I couldn't do the dances but now that I'm able to use this DVD I am way more comfortable working out in my home. No matter how large or small you are, I'm sure you can move around to dance, I think this DVD is meant for all walks of life!
