Worst blender I have ever owned.

1

My wife and I had heard great reviews about this product name and decided to look into it a little. We normally used the easy and simple "Bullet". As much as we enjoyed it, it just didn't do everything we needed it to do. So we decided to step up to the Wolfgang Puck product after watching the infomercial. In the infomercial they showed and stated that you could grind your own coffee beans or make peanut butter with the product. Seeing how this was pretty much what we needed, we decided to purchase this "Amazing" machine. When we received it, the instructions stated not to grind beans or nuts of any kind. This was one of the main reasons we chose this brand of blender. We used our last blender several times a day and was assured that this product would stand up to the task. We typically use it for smoothies and making our own natural concoctions. Needless to say, 10 minutes after using this machine, for the first time, to make smoothies from fruit and ice, on the first day, it began smoking and stopped working. Luckily we also purchased the warranty. We received a refund minus shipping, 1 month later and will never use another product with this name again.

Great product which can do the job of many other appliances

This is truly a versatile piece of kitchen equipment. To be fair, this immersion blend has attachment to simplify many kitchen tasks. There are other kitchen appliances which do a better job at these tasks than this immersion blender, but each of those other appliances are larger, more expensive and more complicated to use than this set of tools. With the immersion blender you can blend cold milkshakes, puree hot soups, etc. There is an attachment for a wisk that I've used to beat egg whites and whip cream. Both of these feature compare quite well with their full sized counterparts and while requiring a little more strength to hold and maneuver, do a reasonably good job. The immersion blender has the most difficulty as a food processor as it can only chop (and not shred as a full sized processor could). But the small chopper has been very useful for mixing dressings and sauces which don't have much volume or are too thin to be mixed with the immersion blender. I would recommend this to anyone that doesn't cook often enough, have adequate space/money to warrant buying all of these full sized appliances.

Wolfgang Puck has an excellent hand blender!

5

I was first introduced to hand/stick blenders about a year ago when my daughter was raving about hers.  Later, a friend informed me that they were excellent for use in soap making.  I bought my first blender at a clearance sale at the local grocery store.  I was really impressed with the versatility of a hand held blender but the quality of the model I purchased just wasn't there.  It wasn't long before this plastic model began to fall apart.  In spite of its inferior quality, I was sold on the practicality of these blenders and began looking for one with stronger construction and a metal shaft.  The Wolfgang Puck has been wonderful.  We have made soup, sauces and soaps with absolutely no problem.  The attachment bowls, which turn it into an almost normal blender, are great for chopping nuts and cranberries.  At this point I am completely satisfied with the Wolfgang Puck hand blender and hope it holds up for many years.

A Must Have!!!

5

The best hand blender ever made! Looks good too, with easy clean-up and storage. The blender features an on/off button as well as a turbo button for that little extra power. (the top of the wand also has a speed selector). It comes with a wire whisk attachment as well as a blending rod. The blending rod has an aerator disc, blending disc, grinding blade and a multipurpose blade. It also comes with an easy to use attachment removal tool. The blender accessories include a chopper bowl and lid with a chopping blade specific to the bowl (great for onions and salsas). a mixing beaker is also included.  The mixer can be used in cold or hot items as well as cold/hot liquids.

Awesome Blender, major power

5

The Wolfgong Puck Hand/stick/immersion Blender is wonderful in the kitchen. This blender has 550 watts. It has a turbo setting for that extra burst of power. I haven't found and thing it can't handle, from pureeing to chopping veggies, whipping cream or mixing batters This blender has removable stick for easy cleaning it has usual chopping blade, attachable whisk, covered chopping/mixing bowl, whipping blade, and a good variety of other blands for chopping and grating. A house guest used mine and had no idea of the power and sent red velvet batter all over the kitchen, it looked like a slaughter house.  Easy care disherwasher safe except for motor just wipe with damp rag.

Wolfgang Puck immersion blender/chopper is great

I absolutely love this immersion blender and chopper set.  I use it nearly everyday for everything from making smoothies and milk  shakes to salsas and chicken salad.  I just add all the ingredients to the chopper and  turn it on.  The machine does all the work.  It has an extremely powerful motor and does not have a problem with frozen fruit or anything else I put it in.  The immersion blender is great for pureeing vegetables to make cream soups and baby food.  This machine stays on my counter for easy access and I no longer use my blender or food processor.  I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality food processor.  It is very well priced and works as well as, if not better than many higher end brands.     My only complaint would be that the whisk attachment is not as sturdy as the power would require.  A basic cake mix was too much for it and the whisk attachment broke.

Really, Wolfgang?

I was so sure that I would love this product. Wolfgang Puck Immersion Blender? It had to be awesome, right? I'd had one other brand that was cheaper so this was an investment. Nice stainless steel and a cute blue color it would be perfect. I had dreams of smoothies and ice cream. Easy prep of chopped food and veggies. Slicing and dicing. So many uses. I would be mistress of my kitchen. Whipping up fresh fruit and veggie snacks for the family but it was not to be.   It worked well for the first few uses. Then a large chunk broke off of it. I was installing a base and a piece broke off just like that. I didn't man handle it or abuse it in any way. I can't even open jars for Pete's Sake! I don't know what was more disappointing. That Wolfgang Puck put his name on this product or that I believed his name meant quality. Wolfgang Puck, in my mind, stands for quality and class. Not cheap plastic products that don't live up to basic expectations. If you're tempted by this I understand. Keep on looking though, it's just not worth it.
