Although I love this phone, there are some things Windows could improve on, like the app store for example.

Battery Life
It has a great battery life if you charge it at night. My phone often lasts me all day and through the night if I for get to plug it in.

Display/Screen Quality
The display is great! You can change the colors of your tiles to match your mood or favorite color or phone color. The games and websites are displayed really well too.

Call Quality
The person on the other end is very clear to understand. Speaker phone is good as well. You can easily switch to speaker while on the phone if needed.

Ease of Use
If you have used a Windows product before, it's cake to use this phone. If you are new to Windows 8, it will take some getting used to, but the touchscreen makes this phone so much more functional. I sometimes hang up with my cheek while talking on the phone though, so mastering how not to do that is a task.

Durability
It's fairly soft and the screen is soft, so get a case and screen protector. Since it's curved the corners stand out and chip easily. I have a clear, rubber case that works fantastically so I can still show off the lime green color.

Design
I am a huge Windows 8 fan, so I love this design. If you don't like Windows 8 this phone probably isn't for you then. I like how you can move the tiles around so you can make it functional for you and I love how thin the phone itself is.

This phone is great for those that want the Windows Phone experience. One of the biggest problems I have had with it is how delicate it is and how hard it is to fix. I have had many smartphones, but I dropped this one for the first time and the entire screen shattered. The worst part is that it is nearly impossible to fix for this phone. If you make sure you take care of it though, I wouldn't recommend anything else for the Windows OS. It is light, thin, and has a WONDERFUL camera.

Battery Life
It had a great battery for the first 8 months but then quickly deteriorated.

Display/Screen Quality
Looks great, but breaks easily.

Call Quality
Speaker isn't always as loud as it should be, even on maximum volume.

Ease of Use
You really need to spend some time getting used to the Windows OS. It is good for normal computing stuff, but the app market is not stellar.

Durability
Though I dropped it, the screen COMPLETELY shattered. I have never had a phone do that.

Awesome Phone. great for its price

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

Great phone. Easy to use. Smart features. Good apps, but a lot are not available vs iphone and android. Sleek design, okay battery life. Phone is very durable and has not got a scratch on it since I bought it a year ago. The gorrila glass is scratch proof.

Battery Life
The battery is okay with the WIFI turned off. I can usually go a whole day without needing to plug it in, but it needs to be plugged in at night.

Display/Screen Quality
The picture quality is amazing. The screen looks like you are there in real life. Vivid. The gorrilla glass is scratch proof. The display vibrates gently (optional in settings) when you press on it- I love this feature.

Call Quality
Sometimes I experience static, but I believe this is because of where I live or my provider. The beats audio does an awesome job with the sound. Sounds like I have a radio on when its on.

Ease of Use
Was very simple for me to figure out. Swipe the screen to go where you want to. Apps are lined up much better then an Iphone.

Durability
I have dropped the phone multiple times and the gorilla glass has never scratched or anything.

Design
Awesome thin design. Wish they had more of a selection of colors. It is so thin that I bought a case for it.

Good phone, little hard to manage if not use to

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

Had a Windows 7 phone before this. Having that helped me with this phone so much. The layout is pretty cool. Love that you can add live tiles and make them different sizes. Having it four across is better. Easier access and not having to scroll all the way for something. Good battery life, good camera, good sound quality, overall decent phone.
Market is still a little outdated, however not many big brands have a windows app created yet, so that's a little bummer.

Ease of Use
If you are coming from an android or iphone, you will have a little problem adjusting, but once you do, it is so easy to manage.

Best phone I have had so far

By

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

I have so far found the HTC 8X Windows Phone to be a great phone to have and to be one that fits my needs very well. The phone has been very easy to use, durable, good quality in video and audio, and have a battery life that I am very happy with. One of the bigger reasons that I love this phone and Windows Phones in general is because of how organized the phone is. Being that I am a stickler for being tidy and organized as well as constantly having to read and respond to emails on my phone, I find the organization to be the biggest help. Another thing I really love is the dimensions of the phone. I can't put my finger on it but the phone has a size that just seems perfect all around. What I will say about this phone specifically is that It is one that needs to have a protective casing on it as much as possible because, even though the phone is larger than some other, it seems to get damaged fairly easily. I once dropped it from my hand onto my desk, about a 1 to 2 foot drop, and found a dent in the corner. Other than that I really love this phone and recommend it for just about anyone.

A good phone overall, awaiting the platform to catch up

By

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

This was my second Windows touch phone. I had the HTC Surround running Windows Phone 7. This time around, my wife and kids wanted this phone as well, ditching the Android and iPhone devices that they had grown accustomed. The screen is excellent and it is a very slim design. I am disappointed that the speakers face the rear, especially since HTC is marketing another phone that came out around the same time with front facing speakers... and my previous HTC Surround had front facing speakers.

My kids have have good luck with not having any damage, but my wife dropped hers and broke the screen. My phone has been replaced twice due to it just stopping to work. It was easily restore since everything was backed up to Live.

Battery Life
The battery life is nice... I charge it at night and that is generally it. I connect it to my car stereo via bluetooth and listen to my music through it and may plug it in while driving to charge. Not bad at all.

Display/Screen Quality
This is a gorgeous display... bright, clear, and high definition.

Durability
HTC always makes good durable devices.

Very Unique Phone

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

I wanted to try this phone because I was really curious about the Windows 8 platform, that and I just wanted something different from Android and Iphone. The features are really cool and I am a huge fan of the whole live tiles thing it makes it really easy to get to things that I want fast. I specifically chose this brand over the Nokia Windows phone because this phone has beats audio on it and well I can tell you when I have my headphones plugged in (because that is the only time you can use the beats audio) you can really tell the difference. The call quality is fair I really think it would be better if I didn't live in such a small area. Personally I found that this platform was pretty easy to figure out it just honestly takes some getting use to. Durability wise I have broken my screen and I do recommend getting some protection for this phone since it seems to not only get dirty fast but slides off things if your not careful. If you like lots of apps this phone is not for you. While it is beginning to catch up in apps it is still lacking granted I do love the Xbox features on it. This thing is awesome for music and I would so recommend getting the Xbox music pass for all the music you could want.

Great Windows Phone

By

Comments about Windows Phone 8X:

I switched from a Motorola Droid phone to the HTC Windows 8X. This phone is very thin, and it is longer than my other phone, but I do believe that it is durable. My favorite feature of this phone is the camera. It takes stunning pictures. You can download an app called blink that will take a bunch of simultaneous pictures of a moving subject, and it lets you choose the still frame to save. I think it's better than having a real camera. And another great thing - no more uploading pictures from your SD card because the skydrive will send everything straight to your computer!

Battery Life
I can use my phone for about a day and half without having to charge it. And, it rarely ever gets hot when I use it.

Display/Screen Quality
The display is beautiful, and the Windows component of the display is completely customizable. You can change the sizes of your tiles as well as the color.

Call Quality
This phone is loud!

Design
I love how sleek this phone is. It isn't a big bulky box like most of the other phones that are on the market.
