A must visit if you are going to the San Antonio area

I was traveling to Texas for work and wanted to make the most of my time while in a new city and state. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, you will find this site a useful resource to find anything and everything you would want to know about or do in San Antonio. I like that you can easily find out information on attractions and restaurants in the area. I was excited to learn about the River Walk and all the dining options and fun activities there. I'm sure I would have learned about it once in the city, but it was nice to be able to pick and choose what I was interested in and have a game plan before the trip. I was also able to request one of the free travel guides and use it to plan even more. Ease of Use It is extremely easy to find all kinds of information on this site. Features I love the unique features on the site. "Featured Trip Ideas" is one of my favoritres because it gives themes and destinations. I like that it also includes upcoming events. I was able to learn about a music fest event and a wine event going on while I was in town that I would not have known about any other way.

Visit SanAntonio.com before your trip saves time & money

I have been to San Antonia on several occasions so I know the area fairly well. I was really surprised when I checked out this web site how much I didn't know and would have missed out on. You can get information and check on a money saving hotel package,. Ease of Use This web site seems to have a lot of moving parts that is a little confusing but the information they have to offer makes it worthwhile to dig in a little. Features They give the dates of special things going on in the city so you can plan ahead and include those things and they tell about all of the things that makes San Antonio so unique.I really like the section that they call "Be A Local" as this is where they pass along an insiders knowledge on food, fun and culture so you don't miss out on any of the fun that waits you. Customer Service Besides a toll free number, you can order information, or just cruise the web site. I wish more of the cities offered this as it keeps you from finding out later that you missed something you would have enjoyed doing while you were there.

Visit San Antonio: Great Site and FREE Travel Guide

5

I recently came upon VisitSanAntonio.com while searching for travel tips and ideas for the state of Texas. San Antonio was was of the places we were most interested in, so I was excited to find a website purely devoted to San Antonio tourism. This website is very easy to use, and full of helpful information. After perusing VisitSanAntonio.com for a while and learning some interesting things about popular tourist destinations such as River Walk and the Alamo, I noticed that they were offering a free travel guide. This was very quick and simple to request and it arrived in my mailbox within a couple weeks. The free travel guide is very nice and much bigger than I expected it to be. Like the website it is a valuable tool for learning more about San Antonio's history and what the city has to offer to tourists. What a great free resource! I would highly recommend this website and travel guide to anyone looking to travel to San Antonio, or the state of Texas.

Fun website for a fun city, with a little something for everyone

San Antonio, Texas is a fun city to visit and the VisitSanAntonio.com website captures that vibrance well. From museum passes to hotel packages, trip ideas to food guides, the site has it all. The site is run by the San Antonio Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Used to be, you could request it and they'd send you a thick glossy book with info on museums, hotels, restaurants, sites, events and more. This website is essentially the same thing - the whole guidebook all online, at your fingertips! There is enough detail about each of the sites, that you could really plan your whole travel itinerary in detail, if you are planning the kind. If you are the spontaneous kind, well just get a sense of your interests. Are you a culture buff? There are trip ideas for you. A foodie? There are ideas for you, too. The site not only covers the usual sites - the Alamo, the Riverwalk, the major museums - but also covers areas around San Antonio that are a short drive away and would make good day trips.

Wish A Site Like This Existed For Every City

As a Texan, I've had the opportunity to visit San Antonio several times, including for a conference with lots of international attendees. I make sure I visit this site in advance to sign up for coupons and deal e-mails. I wish there was a one-stop deal/coupon site like this for more cities, especially Houston. Ease of Use This site is quick enough to use that my boyfriend and I "planned" a totally impromptu trip to San Antonio (we were living in Houston) and got access to some good deals in a matter of hours. We were bored one morning and decided, "Hey, let's go to San Antonio!" -- a couple of hours later, I had printed a bunch of coupons for shopping, dining, and attractions, and we were in the car, on our way. It also works well when you're planning a trip in advance and have time to sign up for various attractions' mailing lists, which I've also done before. Features I love that this site shows deals for some many things, though it'd be nice if they showed all the deals in relation to each other on a map -- that way, people unfamiliar with the city (and who might not have a car) can plot out realistically where they can get to with ease. Customer Service I never needed to contact them, so I have no rating for this.

Great!

I am actually from San Antonio but once I moved from there a few years back I started using the site and it's awesome. It's amazing how many places there are that I never visited while living there. I like that the website gives you options on getting emails especially in the summer and vacation times with great deals on hotels and also with "tourist attractions" and coupons are also available on the website. It has things from the San Antonio zoo to six flags and of course the river walk. Being from there and getting those emails and looking on website just makes me want I visit more often. It sends reminders and dates of when the lights begin for Christmas and also dates of the parades and I like it has a calendar or year round events so you can also be updates. You will also find great hotel deals on that website. Features Feature are great especially like that they offer coupons and specials and great prices for different seasons on the website.

Saves you money while having fun in San Antonio

My husband and I were considering a trip to San Antonio for the weekend and in my efforts to find ways to save money (including an Entertainment Book for San Antonio) I found SAVE San Antonio.  **What I like about SAVE San Antonio:** - easy way to get ideas about fun, places to go, hotels, and theme parks  - download coupons or order a brochure that includes coupons  - the home page gives you  a peek at the coupons you will get without having to download all of them sight unseen  - helps you get a free visitors guide to San Antonio  - free to use  - no email address needed  **What I don't like about SAVE San Antonio: ** - the web page is set up kinda weird with one side WAY longer than the other  - parts of the pages seem more like advertisements but not in a professional way - kinda of like a blog with categories just set there  I have actually made three trips to San Antonio since that initial planning process and all three times have found SAVE San Antonio to be helpful in finding places to go and things to do, but also a fast, free, easy way to save me money while traveling.

See what San Antonio has & save money while enjoying your visit

This site has all the information you will need to enjoy your stay in San Antonio plus it will help you save too!  I use this site before I head out to any local attractions and print my coupon so that I can keep a few dollars in my pocket.  Of course, those are quickly spent on food or items while at the attraction, but I feel I get more value for my dollar!  If you like to save money and are intending to come to San Antonio, or if you live here and are heading out to the local attractions, why not stop by this site and save some money too?  I have been using this site for about 6 years.  I have never received any spam email from them.  At first I was afraid that I would get spam.  I used an email I did not care if it got spam.  Since I have never received any emails from this site I have since switched to one of my "good" email addresses.
