Fantastic toy for babies!

5

My daughter received this train as a Christmas gift, and when I first saw it I thought it was an over the top and unnecessary gift. I couldn't have been more wrong! My daughter is 10 months old and she absolutely loves it! She is able to push the engine around and practice walking, she rides on the back car while someone pushes her, and the blocks help her learn letters through words and songs. She has so much fun, and is always excited to play with this toy. I love that she is able to learn while having fun, and I can see her enjoying this toy for many more months. The only drawback is that the engine is narrow, so it can be difficult for the baby to maintain their balance.

vtech train is fun and engaging

My son received this from his grandfather for his first birthday. The toy is a big size.  It is a two compartment train.  The front end has the bar you can use if your child is starting to walk. This part of the train has the majority of the activies to play with.  The second part attaches to use as a ride on toy.  My son was already walking so we use this primarily as a ride on.  I think a definite pro is its size, it is substantial and not dinky.  My son immediately took to the toy sitting on it until he got the hang of pushing himself and taking advantage of all the activities.  There is definitely no shortage of activities with buttons to press, a book to turn the pages, and a slot in the front part of the train where you insert alphabet blocks and it shoots it to the back compartment.  This one of his favorite toys he received on his birthday and it became a family favorite.  I have a 3 and 5 year old as well.  They all take turns riding and pushing and playing.  Great toy!

The Vtech sit to stand alphabet toy train has been a great purchase so far for our son and my younger daughter. Putting this all together was really simple and the train seems to be quite strong and reliable. The train can be knocked over, but doesn't tip too easily, even on carpet. Out of all the toys my son got for his birthday, and for Christmas, this one is his favorite. He will play with his other toys, but then ultimatelyreturns to his VTechtrain. My son can sit on the back part and loves to play with the ABCblocks. My son has lots of fun inserting the blocks through the top slot and watching them get tossed to the back of the train. This is a great feature and makes clean up much more fun. My son is also able to insert theblocks into the side of the train. He also enjoys theflip pages and hearing the songs it plays. We also have a daughter that likes to play with the train. She listens to the songs and inserts the alphabet letters that the song instructs her to put in. She also takes the blocks and spells words out on the carpet. This is a great way to learn the alphabet with a wide age range.

Great toy that will grow with your child.

We got this for our son for Christmas and he just loves it. He loves playing with the blocks and putting them in and out of the sleeves to hear the music and words. It is very educational and will grow with your little one for years to come.

Lets Learn with the Alphabet Train!

Lets Learn with the Alphabet Train!  You wont be getting that tune out of your head any time soon, but that is true of any toy with sound!  I hear myself singing these kid songs as I fall to sleep!  The great thing is there is an off switch!  Its a great educational toy for children to lean the alphebet.  My kids loved it way before they could even understand the alphebet, and its a good way to get those letters famliar to them.  We used it as a push and ride toy for quite a long time. the thing I didn't like about it was there was a big gap from the seat to the handle bars.  Which made it hard for littler ones to push.  Ours works great though.  The kids probably liked it the most for the fun of putting the letter squares in the top and watching them shoot into the box car.  they would do this over and over again, and they could still do that even without the sound.  its fun to attach the squares to the front and learn the letters that way too.

So much fun

This train is so much fun for my son. It keeps him very busy. There are so many different things he can do with this. On top of it being educational, it is very entertaining. The music is adorable and cheery. I love how the volume is adjustable (on the back). There are so many different things ot learn with this toy- colors, number, abc's, learning to walk, the list goes on. My son loves to sit on the caboose when it is attached and when it's not attached he pushes the train around the room. It's so multifunctional, it even encourages children to clean up after themselves. You can put the blocks down the chute and they go right into the caboose. I really like how the blocks have the letter on one side and an object on the other. The book on the train is very adorable, as well. The compliments I have for this toy is endless. I would absolutely suggest that EVERYONE buys this toy for their little one. It will keep them busy for hours and teaches them so many different things it's really incredible.

VTech Alphabet Train has some glitches.

3

My parents bought this for my nine-month-old son for Christmas, and I was super excited for him to receive it.  The idea of the train is wonderful: keeping my son active, while learning a thing or two.  Unfortunately, the one he got for Christmas has a few glitches.  Like, say you put the "I" block in, the voice on the train will say that it is the "N" block.  Also, the voices are supposed to coincide with where the book on the train is opened, and the letters that are showing on the pages, but it says different letters that are not shown on the page.  Like I said, great idea, and my son still finds it entertaining, but I'm afraid it might confuse him later on.

Alphabet Train is a fun toy for a pre-walker and on

We got the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train for our baby's first birthday. He loves it. He's not really all that close to walking, so this toy doesn't give him quite enough support. The handles are too close together which he doesn't like and when he puts so much of his weight on it, it's wobbly (not enough of a counter balance). However, he loves to sit and watch and listen to it. I can see that it will be a great teaching toy. I love the toy chute. You push a block into a hole in the top and it catapults out the back and into the caboose. It's a very entertaining way to clean up. The only thing I don't like about this toy is the music. While it's on, it plays some annoying circus music constantly between requests to "find this letter and put it here." It also changes the last line of the alphabet song to "Won't you ride the train with me" instead of "next time won't you sing with me?" I don't like it when toys change words to common songs. I just know he's going to end up singing it wrong in school and be all embarrassed.

V Tech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train is great but could be smaller

My daughter is eighteen months old. She received the VTech sit to stand train as a Christmas gift from her uncle. She was immedietly drawn to the bright colors of the VTech train and begged me to get it out of the box for her. When I took the train out of the box I was surprised to find out that it was very easy to assemble. I usually have the toughest time putting the simplest baby toy together and this took me less than 10 minutes. I didn't even need to use the directions! That is a huge plus right there! The only thing that I had a slight problem with was figuring out which wheel went in what spot. My daughter immedietly began putting the blocks through the top of the train and she was excited to see that that blocks would go down a slide and then land in the second part of the train. The path for the blocks is really set up well. She pushed the blocks through the top for about 15 minutes and every block landed in the second part of the train. My daughter did have some trouble positioning the blocks along side the book on the side of the train. Big brother helped her but I don't think she has the fine motor skills to get the blocks in the side of the train correctly so that the sound works. She enjoyed looking at all of the blocks and naming many of the animals and objects. 2 things that I would change would be to make the hinge removable so that the trains can be separated to store easier when not in use and I would also like the train to be a little smaller. It would also be great if it had a volume control becausde it is a little loud. I have a small 2 bedroom apartment with 2 kids and the toys are taking over!

My son loves his Vtech Alphabet Train

5

My 9-month old's grandparents gave him the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train for Christmas. i was even more impressed with the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train after we opened the box than I was when it was purchased! What a fun creative toy! The assembly was easy - not too much to do. Still if you want your little one to use it right away, assemble it in advance :) I am sure that our little guy will be learning from the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train for 2 years or so! The Vtech crafters incorporated so many activities, learning tools, sounds, and interactive content in the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train. I am sincerely impressed. Not being a fan of noisy, electronic toys, I find this one to be tolerable :) :) Not annoying like others. My son received both the VTech Sit to Stand Alphabet Train and the Little Tikes Haul and Ride for Christmas. They are quite different from each other and both fun! He loves them both - even at only 9-months old, they will both grow with him!
