Nintendo Wii Review

3

When I first heard about the Wii, I was actually really excited about it because well, you get a motion controller!! and to actually see that working on a console for the first time, it was a big deal. But I didn't want to get the Wii because it seemed too kiddy for me, but my brother decided to go ahead and get one anyways... lucky me. So when he first set it up, we played the game that it came with and I had to admit at that point, it was pretty cool, it wasn't very responsive, but at that time it didn't really matter, it was just about having all that fun. But it honestly got boring after about a months worth of playtime and it just got old and boring. The Wii just sits there and do nothing, but it is only entertaining to the younger audience. But the one thing that turned me off the most was the fact that Nintendo were adding in so many add-ons, that is supposed to make it more accurate, which is like wow, the controller already cost a fortune. Overall this is a good console for the younger audience.

Fun for the whole family!

If you've seen the commercials for this system and wondered if people of all ages can have fun playing this system wonder no more.  I was skeptical before I played it for the first time.  I must say that while I'm don't consider myself a boring person I have been known to be a little straight laced.  I have to say I have had so much fun playing the Wii just getting caught up in the fun factor and letting myself go.  I'm a father of a small child and have siblings who also have small children and we've all had so much fun playing this system.  There are traditional games available that require that much activity but to me, the most fun are the games that require movement on the players part.  From bowling to archery, boxing to running, you will find yourself standing in the middle of a room pumping your arms and getting a little exercise while you have the time of your life.  It's really is fun for the whole family.

Good System for Kids

5

We got one of these systems for the family awhile ago and it was used a lot when first purchased.  This system is great for kids!  It encourages them to get up and move and kids now a day need all the help they can get to get off there rear.  The graphics compared to the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 are not very good.  If you are an older gamer and looking for good graphics look at a different system.  Most of the game titles that are released on this system our geared towards a younger audience.  However, I am an adult and I still enjoy playing the wii.  I even had a friend who was working out with his with weights on his hands and lost quite a bit of weight.  They have some neat accessories like the wii fit to go along with trying to stay healthy or get in shape and still have fun.  One of the coolest things about this system is the ability to purchase older nintendo game system games and play them on your wii.  We have several old NES games that we love to play on here and there is no blowing off the game cartridge every time you want to play them.  The Wii sports game that comes with the system is very fun.  And another cool feature is the ability to stream movies from Netflix onto your Wii.  I like the system and would consider buying it, however it doesn't have all the other bells and whistles that other systems have.
