The large 2 inch irons straingten hair in half the time.

The Standard Processional Line Sapphire iron was the first straighting iron that I'd ever pushed, and this was about 10 years ago. My hair stylist at the time recommended it to me, and it was one of the first flat irons on the market, it is a dinosaur. It is huge (2inches), heavy, and bulky. Yet I purchased one due to my unruly curly hair.  Using it took a lot of practice and getting used to, and I burned myself several times, yet after a while I could use it like a pro. When straight hair was in high fashion, all of a sudden many companies came out with flat irons that were smaller, lighter and appeared easier to use. I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased several of the newer models, even the T-3 wet/dry which cost me lots. I tried a Chi, Conair, and even a couple of the dual straighteners and curling iron products. I thought that the smaller size of these new models were going to be a miracle. I was wrong. I struggled with every new product that I invested in, even the T-3. I went back to my Saphire; as old as it was. It still works ten years later and in my opinion, it is the best iron out there. I'm upset that I wasted so much mony on the latest models, when what I had was far superior.
