Search Amazon.com for Sony - KDS-55A3000 55 in. HDTV Television prices |
We purchased this television in the early fall of '07 to replace a smaller non-HD TV. We got it on sale and no interest for 18 months, so it's an even bigger bargain! It is easy to operate out of the box - not a lot of programming experience necessary (this coming from a computer programer). The buttons on the remote are self-explanatory and it offers many of the fuctions that anyone would want.
I will say that it takes several seconds to warm up and for the picture to appear initially, but once it's on, it is an absolute beautiful picture. Compared to our old TV... well, there is...
review »The Sony KDS-55A3000 met all of my requirements. PLUS....Sears had the best price anywhere! $1,147.89.
That's sale price of $1,299.99 with a 10% discount and $25 off for using a VISA card!
Also there was NO shipping costs because I used the Ship-to-Store option.
Fantastic!

The picture quality on this television rivals anything I've seen (and I looked at them all). My family...
review »A new adopter of this 55-inch set, I have a few caveats for those who are thinking of plunking down the dough. First, if you are not planning on going all-out digital with your television broadcasts, then forget buying this unit. Any non-digital/non-high-definition source will look totally grainy and pixilated on the screen. This is not the fault of the TV or of the manufacturer, SONY. Basically this type of TV, like all HDTVs, is meant for digital television viewing. Watching normal TV on this set is hard on my eyes because the image is sometimes fuzzy and sometimes pixilated, and I can see some...
