Sony does lots of things great: Playstation, movies, tv's, sound systems, just to name a few, and I guess they do phones great as well. I LOVE this phone. My husband and I both own one, and I would buy it again if this one broke. This phone has accomodated me in so many situations. I travel a lot and rely on my cell phone for emails, calls, organizing, and maintaining meetings, etc. I am not too crazy about those "huge" pda's. This is a more compact one but it does a little bit of everything.
I have dropped this phone so many times as well as being completely emersed in water and managed to not get damaged at all. I still cannot believe everything it has been through and it's as good as the day I purchased it.
I would definitely reccomend this to anyone! Sony just came out with a new model. You can bet I am going…

I chose this phone because it seemed better than the Nokia that was similarly affordable. Other phones would have been ridiculously priced for what I needed it for, and I am frugal. It has turned out to be even better than I realized. — I make and receive a few calls a day, and need it for urgent situations. Calls are clear; volume levels are good. Ringtone choices are great. It has features like alarm clock, calendar (which can sync with Outlook), and reminders that I really like. I do not use any internet or other connection programs, so I can't comment on that. …

I have the sony ericssonw 810i for over an year now, with a cingular/at&t service. I simply love the features on this phone. Its a walkman phone, so the sound quality is amazing. It comes with an external cord, which when plugged also acts like a fm receiver...so you can listen to radio on it. The phone has a nice camera for both still pictures and video. Quality is decent and good enough for any cell phone. it also has a flash light...which is really helpful to take pictures or just use it when its dark around. — Now coming to the sound quality... BEST phone out of 6 I've ever had and people can't believe when they see pictures and video of my daughter that I used my cell phone!! Not to mention, it is so easy and LOVE that I can use it as an MP3 player...I just uploaded some songs from my itunes (i had my ipod stolen on a greyhound bus) - so this was great!! So far this is a great phone. I wanted it for the mp3 player and walkman. Overall I would say these both work great. The battery life is pretty good. The buttons have started to wear off a bit but no biggie. I wish the volume would get louder for phone calls and it would pick up less background noise. I like the size and the shape. This is a well build cellphone with a excellent walkman build in. Cell phone qulaity is excellent with no echoes. Best feature:- shows if the persom you are calling is on a another call.
