Most HelpfulI'll start off with the few things that I find detrimental to my enjoyment of the phone. Firstly, as you may have heard, its maximum volume is insufficient in certain settings. The vibration isn't altogether noticeable either, so you may miss a lot of calls depending on where you hang out. Secondly,...
review »This phone is great. I'm so happy I bought it. I wanted a navigation system but they were so costly I could never afford one. With the Katana I can hook up to the Novatel Navigation system for $10 a month and believe me it has paid for itself ten times over in the gas I've saved!
One of the few negative things about it is that it drops a lot of calls for me.
Also in numerous conversations my other party will say - are you there and cannot hear me and hangs up. I can hear them but they can't hear me.
The keypad is a good size and easy to use - I would probably rearrange the icons in a more efficient...
review »I got the Sanyo Kantana cell phone when my previous Nokia one died all of a sudden on me. I needed to make sure that I had one that was a flip phone so that I wouldn't be making any calls when it was in my purse or in a clip on case.
This was two years ago.
I love the camera in it. I never had a camera in a phone before and I got this one and used it taking pictures of my son & our animals so I could show his picture and the animal's to friends and co-workers.
The best part about this, besides the fact that it does all the basic stuff that I need, is the frames for the pictures. I took...
review »Love this phone, it is a Sanyo kantana LX, and while it does not have all the bells and whistles, I really don't need them. It gets me my email, lets me text all my family members, take pictures, when I forget my camera, and most of all, it is easy to make and receive phone calls. It has plenty of different ringers and sounds, plus I can put a screensaver on it. It also has a world clock on it which lets me know what time it is in italy, where my son lives, that way I don't wake him up at 3:00 in the morning. It has voice memos, countdown clock, stopwatch and an alarm clock. It...
review »My husband and I have each had this phone for over 1.5 years. We both love the size of it and almost all features but there are some minor things I would add to make this phone more functional, reliable. One thing we noticed was that my husband keeps calling me without intendig to call me because when his phone is in his pocket or when he is driving, the outside buttons on the phone keep getting pushed and keeps redialing or whatever. That feature is very annoying since he doesn't know he is on the phone and sometimes I don't even know he called me so I get lots of blank messages on my voicemail...
review »I've had this cell phone since October of 2006. I was impressed by the slim design; It easily fits in a shirt pocket. I also like the fact that it folds out to a nice sized phone. Phone's Bluetooth feature works great with plantronics unit. I've had very few dropped calls - almost all of them have been due to dead spots (Always drops service in same area).
The camera is no match for my Nikon D50, but photo quality is better than most cellphones. Ringer volume could be louder and there is a mute switch that is easilly hit when talking on phone. There is an excellent speakerphone, and the LCD is very...
review »I love this phone! I am coming up on two years with it and haven't had any major problems at all. It's a great size and I love the black version, which looks very sleek. It has a big screen, which I LOVE. I wish it took better pictures though, they're pretty grainy. That's not a deal breaker for me though. I wish it had more speed dial numbers (only 9), I think most people are used to having a lot more. I like that it has regular phone rings, as I hate stupid ringtones. The battery doesn't last nearly as long as it should; after talking for 45 minutes I'm already down to 2 (out of 3) on the battery...
review »The Sanyo Katana phone is the best phone I have ever had. It has great reception, which means I can literaly get full bars where my friends cell phones will not even get service. I also love the length the battery will last, which means I can come home on my lunch break and if my phone is low on power I can put it on the charger for ten min. and it will have enough power to work for days, and will a full charge it sometimes last for weeks even with alot of use. I also love the flip phone, and the music, and the fact that it sends and receives texts even when I have no bars makes me feel...
review »Thank you Sanyo for the Katana Cell Phone. My cell has every option that I would need and love to use. The camera feature allows me to catch the moment whenever it decides to arise. The picture quality is good and the options are wonderful.
All the other features and options leaves me mesmerised. I love playing around with it when I am bored and the fabulous pink color suits my personality to a T!
I can't wait to get the newer version.
