The Samsung Alias in black is a fantastic little cell phone. It is unique in that you can flip the phone open in either a horizontal or vertical direction. When opened vertically, it works like a regular cell phone. When you open the phone horizontally, you have access to the QWERTY keyboard, which makes sending text messages much easier. My favorite part of the phone is that even though it has a QWERTY keyboard, it still manages to be a small, slim cell phone that fits comfortably into the back pocket of my jeans. Boy if you are new to texting or having difficulty with the number clicks, This is the phone for you. It flips to answear like a regular cell phone or opens like a small keyboard to text with single letters.

I've had my Samsung Alias cell phone for about a year and a half and have been very happy with it. It has a cool dual-open feature -- which allows you to open it either as a traditional clamshell or flip it open lengthwise to access the qwerty keyboard, making texting messaging much easier than it was on the traditional cell phone I had earlier (can styles of cell phones now be considered "traditional"?). I am also happy with the overall aestheics of the phone - it has a pleasing shape and is just the right size. It is small enough to be transported easily but not so small that it gets lost...

The Samsung Alias has been a great cell phone choice for me. I got this phone about a year ago and have loved all the features and how easy to use it is. When I was looking for a new phone I was not interested in the newest and pricest things out there. I am hard on my cell phones and I wanted something that would be tough and also small enough for my pocket or a small purse. This phone has been great! I love how it flips two ways, one which allows you to use a full keyboard! The buttons are a bit tiny, so if you have fat fingers it could be a problem, but I don't think they are any...
