The Blackjack I is a great phone with many features.  It has a learning curve that requires reading the manual if you really want to get the most out of it.  I don't do texting, download songs, use the internet on it, etc. but I do use the calendar, calculator, camera and more.  I had two problems... review »

Its small, and cool looking, but once you get past that, there isn't much there. The buttons are so small I kept mistyping, the browser makes it hard to leave the Cingular "walled garden", and the earphone plug is proprietary (and they don't include headphones with the phone.) Also, the only way to... review »

My phone is great, I could not live without it.  On the other hand, this phone tends to unlock itself in my purse and peruse the internet or call random people in my phone book.  One month I was charged like over $50 in internet charges that I did not mean to use.  On top of that when i called AT&T they told me the only way that i could prevent this was to lock my phone (which i do) or cancel my online service, which, by the way, is why I got this type of phone.  The woman was very rude about the whole thing.  I then began carrying my phone in a case (which was pricey) and it still made calls... review »

This phone is fun, easy to use, and comes witha  done of features including a MP3 player, keyboard, camera, video camera, e-mail, games, ringtones, speakerphone, fast internet, instant messageing, text message, a ton of memory and so much more. It is lightweight and you can even put extra memory to store all your songs and data. I highly reccomend this phone to anyone.

Overall a great phone. I'm a busy person with a lot of responsibilities and commitments. The ability to check my email and respond on a full QWERTY keyboard without sitting down at a computer has made my life much more managable. Very satisfied with the phone. For those who tend to drop things, this phone holds up much better than I expected!

My friend gave me her old blackjack when she bought an iPhone. Personally I think the pda type phones like the blackjack are far superior to the iPhone. Ya its not all cool and slick, but you just cant beat the simplicity in its function. Ill never go back to a normal phone, and doubt i'll blow the extra cash on the latest bells and whistles.

My boyfriend and I both got one of these phones. They worked great at the beginning and they are neat phones, but after a couple of months we started having problems with them. He has problems with the keyboard because the buttons are so small. I don't like that we can't see the normal letter/number pattern for certain phone numbers. Like 1-800-and-then. You can't tell which number would be that letter unless you have them memorized from other phones. I like being able to look up my email and use the limited internet capabilities, but I don't like that I have to pay so much for the media plan.... review »

I did a lot of web searching before I bought the blackjack. There many options and of course the iphone. But comeon , i bought the blackjack for free after some rebates while the iphone. because of the windows mobile os i found many free stuff to put on it. avantgo to read the news, the microsoft streets for maps and pocketnester plus for games. especially the last one is great. i have like 50-60 games on my phone and online i found more than 500 games. FYI pocketnester is an emulator and lets you play ns games on the cell phone. the camera is nice. I bought an extra micro sd card and can record...

I've tried a number of smartphones and personal digital assistants over the past few years.  I've tried lots of Palm models, many many BlackBerry models, devices from HTC, LG, Nokia, and more.  Of all the devices I have worked with, I choose to carry the Samsung BlackJack.  This device has the bonus of a slim profile, while keeping a full qwerty keyboard.  This keyboard is especially easy to use because it has seperated keys instead of flush keys.  The seperated keys make it much less likely to mistype a message.  AT&T coverage with this device certainly adds to the appeal - as the network... review »

Both myself and my husband have a blackjack. I don't have a media plan on mine because I have unlimited media on my work provided cell phone.  I use this for listening to music, watching movies, leaving reminder notes (it will alert you that a meeting is coming up, for example), and making phone calls.  My husband uses the internet on his phone and likes it just fine.  Of course, using the internet on a cell phone is always more difficult than on a computer.

I recommend this phone because it is pretty useful for somebody that doesn't need a super high tech phone but wants some of the features...

I bought this phone about a week ago from a friend.  There are both pros and cons, yet the good far outweighs the bad.  Yes, it is a proprietay headphone jack and it's not a flip phone(I'm partial to flip phones, Pantech Duo is too thick).  However, the amount of stuff that's packed into that little phone is amazing. I don't use those phone for e-mail purposes, but I do use all of the other features: calendar, Windows Media Player, notepad, etc.  The phone synchs effortlessly with Outlook.  I used to use a Palm, and synching that thing was a chore.  It took forever.  You don't even realize...

Samsung Blackjack is on the marker for about a year. I have it just as long. Recently, Samsung released the updated version of the OS 6.0 for the black Jack phones. I am loving new features of the MS Office which let me work with the templates on the run. Other features are easy to use as well. For example the texting and emailing are extremely easy to use. Internet is a at finger tips and always available. Another most important feature is the battery life which lasts three days after prolonged use and abuse. I love this phone. Compared to the LG c2000 I have Black Jack is a mobile office computer....

I bought the Blackjack because I thought it was cool.  I mean, that is where my interest started.  I bought it and spent about $300 to $400 dollars on it btwn the phone the plan, and accessories.  I enjoyed it while I had it.  It allowed me to be very resourceful.  Down Side is that I lost it about 7 months ltaer afer adding so much content ad I called to report it and they told me I wasn't covered by insurance.  Not because I don't request it, but because it was not offered at all for the type of phone.  All that money and no insurance.  No I have the accessories and nothing to go with...

This phone is really the truth. It's a multi functional office on the go. It does a great job of makeing multi-tasking quick and easy. And if you are any sort of anal retentive or obsesive compulsive the Samsung Blackjack stays nice and organized. My only qualm with this phone is that the camera does not have a flash of any sort. But the light adjustment features almost make up for it. I don't think twice when telling people that this is the phone to get. Check out the Blackjack II !!!!

I bought this phone thinking that it would have everything that I needed for work and personal but I was only half way right. The phone did have some great features like a camera, speaker phone, internet, agenda, text/multi media. But all of these features seemed like they were only have as good as they should have been. The phone didnt have that much memory space the camera wasn't very clear and the internet was very touchy and slow. This phone had great potential but overall came up a bit short of my expectations. It definetly needs some work.
