I have a new grandbaby on the way and get to buy the cute little toys again! I have always loved the gloworms since my children were little, but found this one and it is smaller and is for ages birth and up. The gloworms my children had were larger, hard, and the body lit up.

The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm...

I have three kids, and none of them liked this toy! I had a gloworm as a child, and thought they woud like it as well. Not so. My intent on buying this was to offer some comfort for them at night, so maybe they associated being alone in the crib with this toy. Here are a few attiributes that I liked...

Ok, when I was pregnant, I read a lot of reviews about the playskool gloworm.  I thought it was really creepy and scary looking.  I mean, imagine that head being the same size as yours and it lights up and sings to you.  *bleh* However, I didn't know what I was doing and assumed the 500+ reviews I read on it must be right.

So, here I am, 2 years later, and I have an 18 month old and I am joining the pack.  The Gloworm is awesome.  My daughter loves it!  We moved recently and had to put a lot of her toys in storage for a couple months while we lived with family.  Now we are in our own 2 bedroom...

I bought the Playskool Lullaby GloWorm last Christmas for my daughter at 6 months old. She LOVED it then as a baby and still loves it now at 17 months. I actually had to replace the batteries in it this week because she was so upset that it wasn't working. It is very durable, she has thrown it MANY times and it has had no effect on the product. She sometimes uses it as her "baby" or uses it to snuggle with when she is sleepy (the music is very soothing). It is also a GREAT price, around $10, and it is definitely good for long term use. I would recommend this for babies (they love the lights and... review »

The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm is a cute little toy but my one year old daughter hasn't become too excited about it.  I had a Gloworm when I was little so it is kind of a fond nastalgia thing for me.  (Though I like the cute little night shirt and hat they've added to today's gloworms) I like the music it plays so that's a plus, I don't have to worry about it sounding like a derranged clown. ;)   I'm kind of glad my daughter hasn't gotten attached to it because I'm not sure how I would clean it.  It's got electrical parts, so it's not like you can wash it.  And it has one of those plastic...

At first I bought the Lullaby Gloworm for my little girl because I had one when I was a kid and LOVED it and slept with it until I was like five years old. Then when we got hers and got it out of the box it was so much color than my old on was! It comes in pink or blue, and its very easy to push the middle to turn on the lights and the soft music. There is also two settings when the parents open the back so you can choose whether you want to song to just play for a minute or to play a longer song. The face lights up just bright enough to keep my little girl from getting scared but its not so bright...
