Great TV, But Its Internet Ability Broke after Six Months

4

This TV and its 60" version were on sale at our local Best Buy. We decided to go with the 55" and have not regretted our decision. I feel like the 55" is a perfect size, but not overbearing. When my husband brought this home I was concerned that it had too many features for what I wanted. I didn't think I would watch movies in 3D or need the Internet on my TV, but they sure are convenient! We have watched a few movies in 3D, but the downside is that the TV itself comes with two pairs of glasses, but it are nearly impossible to find more! You can't just buy some generic version of glasses- they have to be specific to the TV and since this is an "older model" they are very difficult to find. Since we don't use them all that much, we haven't really cared. The other negative part of this TV is that the wireless internet feature on our TV broke after about six months. We don't even use it excessively- my kids probably watch 1.5 hours of Netflix a day, but apparently that was too much use. While it worked it was really convenient to use Netflix on the TV, look up shows on Youtube.com just directly on the TV, or talk to people on Skype just on the TV. But none of that works anymore since the wireless part died. Besides those two things I have loved the TV. It has an absolutely beautiful image display. It is really thin and light to relocate or hang if you need to. It has withstood my toddlers wiping fingers on it. I also feel like I don't need surround sound because the sound is so great.

A Great Plasma TV

5

I was slow getting into the flat screen TV craze. My wife and I had a rear projection TV that lasted a long time, but decided we wanted to make use of our HD bluray and Xbox 360 graphics, since the old TV was not an HD tv. After shopping around a bit, we were a little worried about buying a plasma tv because we heard bad things about images permanently burning into the screen, using up too much power, and also heating up the room. We have now owned the TV for about a year and a half and have not experienced these problems at all. The picture has been awesome. We have even used the 3D glasses with our kids some as well, which they have really enjoyed. The only drawback we have experienced so far has been finding additional 3D glasses, since they are made specifically per model of TV and this TV is no longer a current model. The other is that the wireless card used to connect to our WiFi has given out. We use our blueray now to access Netflix, etc. Other than that, no complaints. I would definitely recommend this TV to a friend

This TV was the first major purchase of my marriage and my wife and I have never regretted it for a moment. It has an excellent visual quality that at times can be stunning with the new blu-ray and 3d technologies. My wife who is an animator by profession loves to watch all the new movies that are coming out and which this TV can show off all the cool animation and cg effects that you miss on the older TV's. The smart features (internet connection etc) really complete this TV in making a great and fun entertainment tool. We've had no problems at all with TV since the time we bought and we use it quite a bit. I would recommend this to anyone. Picture Quality This TV is great for all movies and 3D especially. Sound Quality No complaints as it can but you in the shows. Durability It has handled lots of hours and a couple small shakes with ease. Design Its big but almost doesn't feel like it. Performance Pleased with it in all ways.
