Great TV, But Its Internet Ability Broke after Six Months
This TV and its 60" version were on sale at our local Best Buy. We decided to go with the 55" and have not regretted our decision. I feel like the 55" is a perfect size, but not overbearing. When my husband brought this home I was concerned that it had too many features for what I wanted. I didn't think I would watch movies in 3D or need the Internet on my TV, but they sure are convenient! We have watched a few movies in 3D, but the downside is that the TV itself comes with two pairs of glasses, but it are nearly impossible to find more! You can't just buy some generic version of glasses- they have to be specific to the TV and since this is an "older model" they are very difficult to find. Since we don't use them all that much, we haven't really cared. The other negative part of this TV is that the wireless internet feature on our TV broke after about six months. We don't even use it excessively- my kids probably watch 1.5 hours of Netflix a day, but apparently that was too much use. While it worked it was really convenient to use Netflix on the TV, look up shows on Youtube.com just directly on the TV, or talk to people on Skype just on the TV. But none of that works anymore since the wireless part died. Besides those two things I have loved the TV. It has an absolutely beautiful image display. It is really thin and light to relocate or hang if you need to. It has withstood my toddlers wiping fingers on it. I also feel like I don't need surround sound because the sound is so great.
