My daughter has one and we borrowed it when we went on vac. It took some of the best pic I have taken and easy to use. We just love it. we need a new camers so bad we have a olympus FE 100 dose that tell you how old our camera is

 I am reviewing the Olympus SP-550 UZ digital camera.  I've always owned Olympus cameras so when it came time to get a new one I didn't even consider another brand of camera.  This one did not disappoint.  As with all my previous Olympus cameras, this one take very clear shots that look quite professional. The colors are sharp and vibrant.   I am very very very happy with this camera!  For the money, I truly believe you would be hard pressed to find a better camera or one that would take better photos.  As an added bonus if you are like me and you're one of those people who doesn't like to have to read the operation manual, again, this is the camera for you.  You don't even have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. LOLOLOL  Seriously though, I am one of those people who likes to take crazy pictures of their pets.  Some of the pictures I've taken with the Olympus SP-550 UZ digital camera look professional enough for a pet calendar.

What can you say about Olympus cameras other than they are great.  We loved it so much we bought another one for my wife.  Now we both can take thousands of pictures at the same time.  Easy to use, programable, techie if you want, and great picteures.  Worth the money.

My Olympus digital camera is the best item I have ever bought. In fact I am now on my third camera and have bought several others as gifts for friends and family. It has settings for anything that you might ever want to photograph. I carry it with me daily and have been able to capture moments that would have otherwise slipped away in my memory. It has red eye reducer, automatic flash, you can even reced movies with it. I like to take historical photos of documents and I can store over a thousand photos on one memory card. When I print the photos you would hardly know that you weren't looking at the origional, because the prints look so incredible! I also like to photograph my pets and my camera can capture their cute poses in an instant. It may seem a bit bulky compared to other cameras that now fit in your pocket, but I think that a little bulk is well worth it in exchange for this great camera!

I really like my Olympus SP550UZ camera.  I'm still learning to use it, but like what I've seen.  It has a lot of great features (lots of scenes to choose from).  It's so easy to use.  The user interface is easy to use. I'm not a very good photographer, but this camera takes such good pictures that it has me fooled into thinking that I am a good photographer.  I still have some problems with lighting (user error, not camera error, I think).  Sometimes it takes a long time to focus if the lighting is not adequate.

i am reviewing the olympus sp550 uz.  I absolutely love this camera.  it is so easy to use and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a digital slr but is afraid to take bad pictures.  i try to read up on the technical talk of how cameras work, but what i found out is that i prefer  to just set it to one of the different "scenes" and snap away.  You just can't go wrong.  I have taken some really nice and awesome pictures that I myself had to pat my own back.  For those who research cameras before buying, stick to olympus.  I was going to purchase nikon or canon as some of the professionals do.  As I did my research i noticed that they sold only the "body" and you had to purchase the lens(es) seperately.  I was astounded to see the prices on some of those items.  if you are on a limited budget stick to a camera that has just about everything until you become a pro and are making enough to buy the seperate body and lens(es).

I did quite a bit of research before buying the **Olympus SP-550 UZ Digital Camera**. I bought it online and right after I pulled the trigger to make the sale, I came across a number of bad reviews.  So it was with trepidation that opened the package when it arrived. The good news is, I just loved it.   I thought the  zoom was excellent and, as an older person who prefers to compose my pictures using an eyepiece rather than an LED screen, I found that feature critical and haven't been disappointed.  I've also shot lots of little videos while traveling and posted them on Utube--shot under varying light and motion conditions--and I've been really pleased.  The only bad experience I had was that my house was broken into about a year ago and the camera stolen.  I didn't hesitate for a minute in buyong it all over again.

After my Digital SLR was stolen I needed to replace it with a camera which would give me as close as possible results. This camera fits the bill. I took this camera on a cruise and got some absolutley fantastic shots, one even won a monthly contest (I will include thephoto with this review).  The photo is a Banana tree.This camera takes some time to learn all the capabilities but in auto-matic or program mode it's as easy to use as any point and shoot camera on the market. The beauty of this camera though is it's ability to let your creative juices flow and do the things and take the shots a simple point and shoot camera can't. It's very easy on batteries and the memory cards won't cost you an arm and a leg. The included software is also very good.Another feature that will appeal to serious photographers is the ability to shoot RAWphotos.The only down side I can think of with this camera is there is no hotshoe to attach anexternal flash unit.
