Comments about Old Smokey Charcoal Grill:

We came back from a trip to Mexico and we were amazed by the flavors of their hamburgers! Their secret is CHARCOAL. We came back and looked for a charcoal grill that we could try and we decided to try the Old smokey because it had good reviews and it was an inexpensive option. This is a great option when you just want to fire the grill and have steaks or burgers for dinner, it is practical, easy to move and SUPER durable. It can sit outside for days and it is still easy to clean and in great condition (no rust, no weather stains). We really love this grill!

Comments about Old Smokey Charcoal Grill:

If you don't mind the old fashioned way (without gas) a little charcoal and your good to go! Once this baby gets heated up you can grill just about anything to perfection, the only draw back is the weather seems to rust them out pretty quickly, so don't store outside.. unless you want to replace once/twice a year!

    Low maintenance, great-cooking grill

Comments about Old Smokey Charcoal Grill:

This grill from deep in the heart of Texas (or Houston, actually) is truly an Old reliable Smokey. Charcoal grills are, in general, low maintenance. All you need is some charcoal, a charcoal chimney, some newspaper and a lighter/match. (Sidenote: on behalf of Steven Raichlen please purchase a charcoal chimney and spare yourself lighter-fluid flavored burgers.)

The Old Smokey charcoal grills come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large. They recommend the small grill, which serves 2-3 people, for camping; the medium grill serves 4-6 and is their bestseller; they also have a jumbo grill, for those of you who do a lot of entertaining.

You may have to do some assembling before your grill is ready to go, but once it's assembled grilling is easy as can be. We use ours for everything from veggies (peppers, onions, tomatoes) to fajita meat to burgers and sausage. It's very versatile as you can set it up for indirect or direct heating, add wood chips for extra flavor, or just do things the old-fashioned way.
