My hair has endured being colored for the last 15 years and I have tried many shampoos, both salon and store bought shampoos. My hair is shoulder length, medium brown color, wavy hair. When my hair is subjected to humidity, it will get coarse and frizzy. The Nexxus Color Assure products have helped my hair to stay smooth during these types of weather conditions. The Nexxus products have made such a difference in my hair. The color does not fade as fast and my hair feels nourished and manageable. Effectiveness When I use both the Nexxus Color Assure shampoo and conditioner together, my hair ends up looking shiny and smooth. Even when I only use the Color Assure shampoo with another brand conditioner my hair looks and feels healthy. I prefer using both the shampoo and conditioner together for the best result. Scent Smells great, very pleasant, clean, light scent. My hair smells great after shampooing with this product. I am very happy with this product and I hope that this product is always available.

I bought this shampoo because I had heard great things about it, I was very disappointed in it. It did not lather like most shampoos do, I had to use more and more than I normally would. My hair did not feel as clean as it normally did, it felt weighed down and flat. I love trying new products especially shampoos, I have curly, frizzy hair and it's hard to manage. I thought with the Nexxus name that I was getting something that would work with my hair, but I think I just wasted my money. I do not recommend this to anyone. Effectiveness This shampoo did not do what I expected of it. I had to use more of it to get it to lather and my hair felt heavy. I have curly hair and is hard to work with, but when I used this shampoo it was just lifeless and I had to work with it even more. Scent The scent is pretty good, but it is not what I normally like in a shampoo. It was more of a medicine scent, then again it just may be, others may like it.

So many years ago, I would buy and use this product. I loved Nexxus shampoos and carry fond memories of going into JCPenny's and having my hair drenched in this stuff. It smelled amazing and my hair always looked gorgeous when it was trimmed and dried. Today you can find Nexxus almost anywhere and it seems the quality has gone down the drain, at least for me. I have used it and when I am done my hair looks alright, but lacks the shine. I also find that it gets frizzy quite quickly when I use this product as well. The sweet smells of the salon seem to be gone now. The scent is just OK and it really doesn't last on your hair. I guess I miss the old days when this product smelled a lot better and actually worked. I would not pay the prices that they put on these products today and know of many less expensive, yet much more productive products that are out there. Hopefully they can get the formula back to the way it was, but until then I will not buying this product.

I first received a sample of Nexxus shampoo sometime last year and was immediately hooked .I am a bargain hunter by nature and typically buy shampoos based on price, coupons, etc. and tend to stay away from the higher end products. But as I have aged, my once thick, naturally red hair has turned thinner and greyer . I color my own hair at home and cheaper shampoos were just not cutting it at this stage of life . Nexxus Color Assure shampoo brought my once dull,dry ,thin hair back to its youthful luster and shine . My hair was noticeably fuller and healthier looking and the color did not seem washed out and faded after it does with a few washes with many other cheaper shampoos . This is not a bargain basement shampoo and is the most expensive shampoo I have ever bought , but believe me , it is worth every penny . You will color your hair less frequently as the color will not fade as quickly , which will also save you money and will do less damage to your hair . I did not really believe expensive shampoos were worth the money until I tried this Nexxus product but it is worth the price .

The reason I am rating this shampoo poor is because it didn't work very well on my hair. I have med to thin hair, and my hair is very healthy. I used it 3 times it make sure I was getting it right. All 3 times it left my hair dull, no shine, no nice smell, and my hair felt dirty the next day. For such a well known brand, it is the worst I have ever used, or one of the worst shampoos, I even used the color assure conditioner, and it was still bad. So please don't waste your money. I would suggest to try a trial size first.

Okay, so as moms, our job always includes finding answers for all of the woes' me's for our kids.  No matter how large or small.  I am definitely the mom that you would refer to as tightwad, cheap, or penny pincher, which are all fine by me.  We usually use the cheapest brand of shampoo (with or without coupons) it is all about how many pennies I put out.  I have 1 boy (with longer hair, "the style nowadays"  and 4 girls, we go through a lot of shampoo.  The big complaint was dry, itchy scalps.  So I was at the store one day and found Nexxus Color Assure Replenishing Nutrient Shampoo on sale and had a coupon, which made it only 50 cents more than our usual brand.  I grabbed it of course had all of my kids use it and the conditioner that night and to my wonderful surprise have not had a complaint since then.  I have them use this product twice a week and their other shampoo the other nights and things have been very well balanced since.  This product has been great for our family and I would recomend it to anyone.  Thank you for your time! About the product: Replenishing Color Care Shampoo Color Assure Replenishing Color Care Shampoo, now with an enhanced formula, contains a blend of vitamin B-5 and UV protectors, gently removes dulling build-up on the hair for a vibrant start. I'm always on the lookout for new shapoos and conditioners (at least new to me)...so I picked up this one at the Salon because it helps to protect against fading of color treated hair and also helps to remove buildup.  The shampoo has a bit of an odd fragrance to it...almost smelling more like a bathroom cleaning agent than a shampoo. It just isn't a scent that I would be happy with if I was the manufacturer.  The shampoo itself is okay.  It didn't do anything for my hair to wow me, but it also did nothing to really disappoint me either.  It's just a so-so shampoo that I wont buy again.  The price tag is a bit high and I have tried other color care products that work better than this one does. *Final thoughts:*  Waste of money for a product that is a bit of a let down.
