This is the only reduced-calorie dry dog food that Hoover would eat. I took him for my Mom when she moved into an assisted-living home, and he was dangerously overweight. My Mom hadn't been feeding him a natural dog food, so I picked up some of this and he started slimming down gradually. The vet says he is now at a healthy weight. We're going to keep him on this food a bit longer, then switch to the regular Ultra. We've been big Natural Balance fans for a long time, and feed it to our cats as well.

I have a spaniel-mix who was gaining weight on the food we were previously feeding him. I started feeling bad for him as I think it was taking a toll on his legs, and definitely effected his energy. Long story short - I love this Natural Balance food. It really helped Monkey take off the extra weight and put a little pep back in his step. I love Natural Balance. I have three yorkies and a bichon and have been using Natural Balance now for over five months. The coats are so silky and have been doing great on this food. I love that it not's made up of byproducts. My dogs eat less and have maintained a healthy weight.

Why spend more for less? When I first noticed Natural Balance Dog Food I was price shopping for a quality dog food for the best price. Natural Balance was a healthy natural balanced dog food and was comparably practical in price to other quality dog foods. One of our dogs has many different food allergies and picking a natural dog food can be very difficult. Dog food made from fish byproducts is an option for her. Natural Balance has a variety of flavors, so I was able to get a flavor that worked for her allergies. When trying a new dog food I am always concerned about how my dogs will react to the flavor, will the product keep our dogs healthy, will it give them energy, and will they have a problem with the ingredients in their diet? After the first two weeks of feeding our dogs the Natural Balance Dog food, I realized that my dogs had more energy, their fur had a glow to it and there was no sign of problems with allergies. Natural Balance is a quality dog food for a fair price.

I have been feeding my dogs Natural Balance food for over 10 years and would not feed anything else. When I met my spouse she was feeding her 14 year old Australian Shepherd named "Truly" Nutro brand dog food. Truly was lethargic, had a hard time moving around and appeared to not have long to live. I suggested she start her on Natural Balance Reduced Calorie and see if it helped. When we started her on the new food she weighed 70 pounds. Well 2 years later she is now 16 and runs around the yard and weighs only 50 pounds. Recently we took her to the vet to have her teeth cleaned and the vet said we needed to have blood tests done to make sure at her age she would be okay to have the anesthesia. Well when the test results came back the doctor called and said she is one of the healthiest dogs he had seen in a very long time. I have always felt Natural Balance was a great product, but this has absolutely made a believer out of my wife and friends. We feed our new puppy "Joey" Natural Balance Synergy which in one of their newest formulas. She really likes it and is growing like a weed. The cost is no higher than any other high quality food, and I find this product often on sale and it is easy to find at most pet stores.
