This has got to be the highest quality canned cat food you can buy. I was astounded at the difference in my cat's energy and how the litter box didn't smell as bad! I will keep buying this for all my cats, and will recommend it to friends with cats. It's easy to find and not even expensive. JoJo stares at me before mealtime until I give him some, and Alex purrs after he eats like the happiest cat in the world! I love my cat kids and only want to give them the best, and this natural balance food is clearly the top of the line.

I started reading reviews of pet food before the scares of the past year because I started wondering just what goes into my pets' food.  Lo and behold, I learned a lot.  Natural Balance is one of the best foods out there for the price.  It's not top of the line, but it's pretty darned good.  And my cats LOVE it.  I feed different varieties of the canned food to mix it up for them, but they love it all.  Note - the recall issued by Natural Balance was NOT for the melamine scare.  It was a proactive move on the company's part when they had some owners contact them with sick pets.  It turned out to be a false alarm.  This is a safe food and I trust the brand!

We used Natural Balance for years, and were once firm believers. Natural Balance boasts an excellent list of ingredients, a reasonable price for a premium cat food, and is a specialty food sold only in specialty pet stores. They also offer a unique allergy-free formula, Venison and Green Pea, in both dry and wet food formats. Why Natural Balance is not for us: One of our cats died recently and prematurely from kidney failure. His early death may have been correlated to his consumption of recalled food from Natural Balance - which happened to be the allergy-free formula, Venison and Green Pea. The tainted Natural Balance food induced hiding behavior, diarrhea and vomitting in our poor kitty prior to his ultimate kidney failure. Our younger cats thankfully survived, but since the tragedy of our first cat's death, we have painstakingly researched and reevaluated our cat food choices. Natural Balance is not for us. Dandruff used to be a problem all of our cats had, and we took that as a matter of course thinking that all cats had or made dander. Since changing cat foods, our cats are now dander-free, and their fur is much softer and silkier. Natural Balance is not for us. Would like to recommend Innova Evo, Wellness Grain-Free, Organix and Nature's Variety foods instead as premium food alternatives to Natural Balance if you are looking for a better and safer cat food choice for your cats. Note that, because these (Innova, Wellness, Organix, Nature's Variety) are higher end foods, we are now able to make the switch from brand to brand without digestively upsetting our kitty's tummies.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.....  okay, well, that may be stretching it but I feel that way sometimes.  I run a cat rescue and currently have 7 kittens tearing throughout my house and 3 adult fosters and my 3 cats for a grand total of 13! I know, I am rolling my eyes right along with you at the moment.  It's alot! I feed my cats and foster kitties the very best food that I can afford.  I am on the "lunatic fringe" and try to avoid by-products and other disgusting ingredients whenever I can.  I recently bought a case of **Natural Balance Indoor Cat Formula Canned Food **while at PetCo.  I've been very happy with my purchase. I have 5 and 8 week old kittens here, as well as adult cats.  I needed a canned food that would appeal to the weaning babies, the crazy kittens, my spoiled resident cats, and the adult fosters, including a 12 year old with terminal cancer.  We go through lots of food around here so I usually open four of these 6 ounce cans onto a paper plate each morning.  The crazy kittens attack it first with gusto and eat until they are filled.  The senior cat with cancer picks up when they leave off and chows down on this product.  After the excitement dies down, my resident cats drop by the bowl and enjoy whatever is left.  The weaning kittens are in their own room so they get a separate plate of food which they always devour.  Only one cat in the house refuses to eat this food and that's only because she refuses all varieties of canned food.  I really like **Natural Balance Indoor Cat Formula Canned Food** because it contains high-quality ingredients.  The first couple of ingredients are chicken, chicken broth, and chicken liver.  This food contains no by-products or mystery meat meals which I think is wonderful.  I am always willing to pay more for a better ingredients listing and this food is one of the products that I am happy to splurge on.  All of the cats who have eaten this product have done well on it.  Coats are glossy, skin isn't itchy, and stools are firm.  I think the fact that cats from 5 weeks to 12 years enjoy eating it says something too.  I have no complaints about this cat food and will continue to purchase it in the future.
