Absolutely perfect sippy cup - no complaints here!

5

I bought my son his first sippy cup a couple months ago and it was the Munchkin 8 oz Mighty Grip [Trainer Cup][1] .  Since then, he has been drinking more formula, so I bought him the bigger version - **Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill-Proof Cup**. There are a couple differences between the Trainer Cup and this 10 oz. cup.  1) This cup holds two more ounces and 2) this cup is taller and does not have handles. The **Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill-Proof Cup **is made from BPA-free plastic, so you don't have to worry about dangerous chemicals leaching into the liquid.  The nipple is made out of a soft, bendable silicone spout.  For some reason my son likes to chew on it and I'm sure it will not last as long as it could, but that's not Muchkin's fault. This cup really is spill-proof!  When I bought the smaller 8 oz cup, I didn't think a cup could be spill-proof.  I did some experimenting and learned that it really was spill-proof.  Since your baby has to suck on this spout, there is a valve that will not release liquid unless sucked on.  **The Scoop!** I love this sippy cup and haven't experienced any problems with it.  It really is spill-proof and it is BPA-free.  It is a great sippy cup! my child doesn't like it

I like the munchkin mighty grip cup. I really wanted it to be a good product. It's ergonomic, and BPA free. It's inexpensive and looks pretty nifty. I can think whatever I want but, the ulitmate decision is all up to my daughter. I had purchased a bunch of cheap, nameless brand sippy cups that had passed the tests according to her. The reason I purchased this is because it seemed to be better quality. It IS better quality. The spout is flexible and has a good "flow" if you will. The biggest problem is the cup is awkward. She cannot get her hands around it comfortably to hold it. She can easily hold her Avent bottles without a problem. It is too long and too much water needs to be added to it to be used properly. A 9 month old does not need a full cup of water to be satisfied. This of course makes the cup heavy. We may try it again once her coordination is better but, for how, it's going to the back of the cubbard.

The Munchkin Sippy Cup is OK but Not a Favorite

This was one of the first sippy cups that I used for my daughter, but I cannot give it a rave review. It is easy to use and easy to clean but once she had teeth she bit a hole in the soft portion top and dumped the liquid out all over the backseat of the car. Luckily it was only water but what a pain it would've been had I given her juice or milk in the cup. So I gave this 3 stars bc you can use it with ease for a really young child, say 9 months -12 months but really us moms prefer to buy items that will last for quite a bit longer for our young children. For the early use the cup did work fine and it didn't leak, definitely a plus. It's also BPA free which we look for in every plastic product that we buy for use at our home. Overall, I do recommend the Munchkin family of products but not this particular cup. If your kid will use the Munchin cup with a straw that would be the superior product here.

okay well this sippy cup is just what it says a mighty grip one  it does have a great grip on it and is spill proof.  i hate the sippy cups that constantly leak out they really make me angry.  and it honestly is hard to find a good sippy cup that doesnt leak these days.  however when i came across this one i thought it would be like all the rest and not last.  however i have had them for awhile but the spout of it is the problem i have with it.  my 3 yr old would chew on them and bite wholes threw them.  i really like how they are soft spouts but children tend to chew on things and that would be the case here.  i had bought two of them because they are affordable dont get me wrong and they do last awhile as far as the cup itself, but she chewed right threw each one.  so now they have actually been placed on the back burner because i have not gotten around to buying new tops for them.  i think its because i know that the same thing is just gonna happen again so im holding off.  so now theyre pretty useless because you cant use any other tops on them.  oh well.  looks like i probably wouldnt recommend them to a friend.

Love these sippies!

These Munchkin Mighty Grip sippy cups are great.  My toddler loves the soft spout, and for a long time he would only use these Munchkin sippy cups or the Nuby ones.  I liked the spouts on these better than the Nuby spouts because they are easier to keep clean.  These come in fun bright colors which my toddler loves to look at.  They are BPA free which is extremely important to me whenever I am looking for baby products.  Due to the soft spout, they did wear out more quickly than sippy cups with a hard spout, and I was never able to find replacement spouts for these.  And if you have a chewer, you do need to be careful that your child does not chew off any of the plastic and swallow it.  Until my toddler wore out the spout, we never had any issues with leaks with these sippy cups.  They kept liquids tightly contained inside.  I highly recommend these sippy cups, especially when your little is first moving from bottle to sippy cup.

Great transition cup

3

I bought the 10 oz munchkin mighty grip sippy cup for my son to transition him from a bottle to a sippy cup. First let me say that this is a great transition sippy cup for toddlers. The mouthpiece is very soft so its just like a bottle and doesn't hurt their teeth. On the other hand, my son has a lot of teeth and bites the mouthpiece all the time. The plastic that keeps it "spill proof" isn't very high quality.. so if he bites it or pulls with his teeth.. he will in fact ruin the mouthpiece.. so as this thing isn't made of good quality. I have plenty of cups and all the tops are ruined because of this. Munchkin, as far as I know, does not sell the tops of these cups seperately so I will probably have to buy cup/top and all when I only really need is replacements. I do love how you don't need anything in the top to make it spill proof.. if only they would make the plastic so it doesn't rip so easily then this would be hands down my favorite sippy cup.

Great at first

This cup was the best when switching from the bottle until my lovely toddler figured out how to make juice puddles with this cup, it has become nothing more than a toy. I had to throw all these cups away and get hard tops.

very durable and great for a first sippy

i got this for my 1 year old daughter as a transition cup from the bottle as her little hands are too small for a traditional toddler sippy cup. these are smaller in the center and textured so they are easier for her to grab on to and hold. they are also extremely durable. i have several of these for her and they have all lasted through several drops on pavements, washes through the dishwasher and even tantrum throws! i love that they are slightly see-through as it makes seeing how much drink is left inside them. the pretty, vibrant colors are great as well and makes mixing and matching the tops and bottoms fun. my daughter is also a biter and loves to bite anything and everything in her sight and the nipple has stood up pretty well to her contant biting. one drawback is the slightly odd design of the nipple - it makes cleaning it a bit of a challenge. not even a nipple brush can get inside the crevices to get all the gunk out. but overall i adore these cups!

My daughter LOVES these cups

Taking my daughter off the bottle was a lot easier than expected.  I bought her these cups, and they are the only ones she will use! Only down side to these, is she likes to chew them. Eventually there becomes a big hole in the "nipple" part, and it starts to leak.  The bad thing is, I have a cabinet full of these cups, and only 2 lids. They don't sell the lids seperately. Good thing is they are cheap enough to buy more, bad thing is they don't sell just the lid part.  I wish they did!! Would make life a lot easier!

my son likes these!

These really are spill-proof!!!  My son loves to chew on everything, and these silicone spouts have held up well....so far.  We have tried other sippys with plastic or rubber spouts and he chewed them out!!  These munchkins are BPA-free, very inexpensive, and easy to clean.  I just wish the spouts come with a cover because kids (like mine) seem to enjoy dropping things on the floor intentionally!
