I can't even remember how many different types of sippy cups we've had in our house. One of the brands that continues to be a favorite (outside of Playtex of course) is the Gerber. One of the favorites for the kids were the Fun Grips Color Change Spill Proof Cups. Gerber cups in general have some of the best spill proof cups I've had. The lids sport a hard plastic stopper valve, which seems to work pretty well. Two issues I've had with those is they can be difficult to clean around the membrane valve and occasionally the stopper will fall out if slammed on the floor. As for the Fun Grips Cup itself, it has a fun shape that looks like an hour-glass. This allows for more volume, and the ability for little hands to still grip the cup easily. The plastic cup is also ribbed to add a little texture to the grip as well. If that wasn't fun enough though, the cup changes color. The one we had was blue and changed to purple a cold liquid is poured into it. Once the color is changed, the cup also responds to the heat of the hands. My kids always enjoyed seeing their hand prints on the cup. I rarely had an issue with the Gerber Fun Grips cup having spills. Only when the cup got tossed (which we all know happens with toddlers) did it have a major problem.

I used these Gerber Fun Grips Color Change Spill Proof Cup for all 3 of my kids .. They are the only bottles that said no spill and they meant it . I have recommended these to my sister and a few of my friends and they all could not believe that they could trust their toddler on their carpets without an accidental leak.

I bought these Gerber cups when my first child, who is now 6 years old, was just learning to use a sippy cup.  I was unsure about which cup to buy, and I hated to think that I was spending money on something that I knew nothing about, but I decided to go with my gut and with Gerber's reputation.  I wasn't disappointed! There were two cups in the first pack of **Gerber Fun Grips Color Change Spill Proof Cups** that I purchased, and I can honestly tell you that we are still using these same cups, (along with more of the same that we have purchased since) today.  Unlike several other brands and types that our family tried, these are difficult, if not impossible, to "kill."  Others have split or cracked, or their stoppers have broken, or they have had to be washed by hand, but **not these**. I also love that these change color as the liquid inside warms.  It makes it easy for me to know if the cup has been out of the fridge too long and it's a great warning to me to get it cooled, especially if it's filled with milk.  The kids liked that there were colors to mix and match, and that they changed colors when I poured cold drinks inside. My children all tended to chew on the cup's spout, but these have held up beautifully against their teething and their terrible habits.  The spouts haven't caved in, nor have them become unusable, even after many years of use. Though the stoppers I have used from the beginning have sometimes not come entirely clean in the dishwasher, due to a mildew-type residue, soaking them shortly in a bleach/water mix in a bowl on my counter has cleaned them impeccably and has not changed their efficiency in the least.  I buy these cups for new moms at baby showers, and I reccommend them to anyone with young children who doesn't know which way to look in the sippy cup aisle.

When my daughter was old enough to start using sippy cups, I bought several different brands to see which one was the best for us.   Hands down, Gerber Spill Proof sippy cups were the best. With other cups, I noticed leaking around the mouth area or where it screwed into the cup.  Gerber sippy's were great though.  I never had spills and there was no leaking.  They also came in cute colors.  My daughter is a very girly girl and loves the colors pink and purple.  She loved that she could have cups in those colors.  The color change with the temperature was very cool too.  She was very facinated by it. For me, it was great because it was easy to clean.  The stopper comes out easily from the lid, and everything can be put in the dishwasher.  When it's all clean, everything fits back together with very little effort. They are also very durable.  My daughter has taken these cups outside, on trips, to play centers, church, and on playdates.  There has never been a time that I've had to throw one away because of damage she done to it.  I love these sippy cups and highly recommend them!

When we switched from bottles to sippy cups I tried a lot of different cups. I hated how the valves were rubber and couldn't ever really get clean, and got lost a lot, and the cups were too small or too big and oddly shaped. A friend of mine left her cup at our house and my son eventually started asking if he could use it. After just a few days, it was the cup he preferred and I ended up going out and buying 8!! The color change effect doesn't really phase my son, but he really likes that it's big enough for him to have a lot to drink, but still easy for him to hold because of the hourglass shape. He likes the spout shape too and prefers this cup to all others. It doesn't fit in his cupholder in the car, and that is a definite negative, but he doesn't seem to mind. Overall, I'd say these are my favorite cups, well worth the cost and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new sippy.

Both of my sons used these cups as they were transitioning between bottle and cup.  The cup was really spill and leak proof.  I think the only time it leaked was one time when the barrier had come loose, but that only happened maybe a couple of times.  The cup was super sturdy and managed to survive my children looking as new as the day I bought it.  I strongly recommend this cup to any one who needs a very sturdy and leak/spill proof cup.  It was priced well and my boys loved that they changed colors!

I had returned these for a different kind because the plastic piece that stop the spills in the lids comes out if thrown or dropped after being used so many times. The piece gets loose and falls out if it gets wet too.

  What a great sippy cup!  Gerber's Fun Grip Color Change sippy cup is a great cup.  It is inexpensive and easy to clean.  You simply pop out the little white plug and put the top and its plug in a baby wash basket in the dishwasher and put the cup in the dishwasher too.  When you pour a cold beverage in the cup, it changes color.  As the milk or juice gets warmer, the color changes back to its original color.  This allows you to know if the beverage is too warm.  This is particularly important when serving your baby milk.  The Gerber fun Grip Color Change sippy cup is durable.  It is dishwasher safe and withstands many, many uses.  We have five children and all of them have used the same cups.  Over time, there are bite marks on the top, but overall, the cups remain almost new.  I love that the cups come in two sizes.  The larger cups are perfect for travel and the smaller cups are good for younger babies.  They are leak resistant and spill-free, which is wonderful! love them!

The unique shape of the **Graduates Fun Grips Color Change Spill Proof** cups make it easy for smaller children to hold the cups on their own.  Additionally, the barbell shape has a smiliar effect to a no-slip, wide-based coffee cup.  The **Graduates Cups**don't have the weight and padding to make them no-slip, but they're much easier to balance than regular sippy cups.  However, because of the odd shape, **Graduates Fun Grips**won't fit into most cup-holders. The color-changing feature of the **Graduates Cups** only adds value if you plan to use hot liquids, or heating existing liquids in them.  We generally, didn't use hot liquids, nor heat them to a point where it was an issue (usually 15-20 seconds in the microwave from refrigeration).  I'm pleased to say that the **Graduates Spill Proof** cups lived up to their names.  The stoppers withheld liquids from coming out more than a few drops if knocked over.  But, both the stopper and the lids are difficult to clean.  Juices with pulp (OJ, [V8 Fusion][1] , or fruit smoothies) can clog the stopper and get caught in the crevices of the lid.  Sadly, my youngest child is getting to the point where she prefers "big girl" cups, which means big *spill *cups for us. These sippy cups are some of the better ones I've found for actually being leak proof.  They have a minimal in parts (having only 3 parts: the bup, lid, and stopper piece).  They are easy to put together and take apart for cleaning.  They're a good size for gripping with little hands and don't get dropped often.  They are also BPA free which is important to me. My one complaint is that they warp slightly if washed in the dishwasher.  They held up well over time befor I had a dishwasher.  Then, after a kitchen remodel when I got a dishwaher, they started to leak slightly after a few uses.  Probably the heat drying aspect.  After they warp they aren't as good at the leak-free feature.  They're fine for drinking from, but if a kid leaves them laying on their side, some liquid will seep out from the side.  Overall, I think they compare well to other sippy cups on the market.  Many other cups I've tried leak right from the beginning and have made many a mess in my house.
