Playtex Insulator Spill Proof Cups Reviews

I love how easy these cups are to clean and put together. The valve is one piece with an arrow that directs which end goes into the spout side. There is no "sweet spot" you have to fiddle it into to make the cup leak-proof. If you push the valve into the right side, the cup won't leak. For cleaning, push the valve into a little slot inside of the lid and place in the top rack of the dishwasher. The slot holds it tightly and I have yet to lose a valve. This is how all sippy cups should work, but they don't.

As a parent I know how hard it can be to find the "right" sippy cup for your little one. I've tried most of them out there. When I came across the Playtex insulator cups I decided to give them a try.

The cups that I bought came in a pack of two for around $6 or $7, which isn't bad. The Playtex insulator cups are no leak cups. They have a special insulated cup to keep drinks cooler and fresher longer than most sippy cups. They are also designed with twist and click. I have been a child care provider for 14+ yrs now. I have always been a fan of the Playtex line of cups. However, I used to be able to buy replacement valves, and can no longer find them at my local WalMart or Target, leading me to believe they don't sell them separately any more. It's a shame having to fill our landfills with cups when the only thing wrong was that the valves were worn out, making the cups no longer spill proof. The cups can easily last 2-3 yrs or more, and the valves tend to last about 6 mos or so with regular use.

These Playtex cups are wonderful. They are durable so if they are dropped they dont break or come appart. They are leak and spill proof so no worries about messes. They are dishwasher safe. They are easy to disassemble and clean. They keep the drinks cold and dont sweat. Fit in most cupholders on carseats.
