Mr Clean Magic Eraser, Extra Power Review Summary

Are you looking for “one of the greatest cleaning products ever invented”? If so, Viewpoints reviewers say that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Extra Power is “an amazing, inexpensive cleaning supply that (you) don’t ever want to be without”. Our reviewers say that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is “great for sinks, bathtubs, I even use it to detail my van!” In other words, it is versatile. Our reviewers also loved how the Magic Eraser was cheap –usually around $4.99 for a pack of 4- making it “hard to imagine a reason for not buying them.” The only negatives were that each sponge tends to be only good for about 1 use before it starts to fall apart.

When I hear of a new "miracle or magic" product I'm always skeptical.  But, in the case of  Mr Clean Magic Eraser, Extra Power, I had the opportunity to see them work before I had ever heard of them. — We were having dinner over some friends' house.  After a long and… read full review »

Working 40 hours a week I always am looking for ways to help me cut my cleaning time in half.  We recently moved into a new house and, for a present, my mom bought me a "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser."  I was so excited.  I thought I would try it on a spot where my grandchildren has placed… read full review »

I am no domestic goddess but I have fallen for a muscular bald man with an earring (which isn't out of the realm of possibility for me). That man is ... Mr. Clean. Actually, I love what he has to offer more than I do him. He has made cleaning easy! — — Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Extra Power is an amazing, inexpensive cleaning supply that I don't ever want to be without! — — The Eraser — — This is a more advanced version of the prior Magic Erasers. The product is a white 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3/4" sponge with a rippled texture and a curvy, easy to grip shape. … read full review »

I was never a Mr Clean fanatic as some folks are.  The liquid cleaner doesn't come close to my steamer that I use for everything.  Then I was at a grand opening of a new Wal-Mart in Cleveland's Steelyards & a demo was in the store with Mr Clean erasers.  Some have sponges on one side, the other is all white.  2 to a pack for $1.68 & I watched her do white patio furniture that was gray in color & it was coming out white with just water & the Mr Clean Eraser.  She states it get food off walls, crayon marks on floors or wall, etc.  So I bought it. —  Went… read full review »

I was amazed when I tried this product and saw that it really does work.  It will take crayon right off the wall.  Even if the crayon has been there for a long time.  It removes scuff marks, ink from pens, and lots of other things.  I don't think I've found anything that it wont remove.  The downfall is that it falls apart.  Yeah, it literally falls apart after you've used it awhile.  They don't last long at all.  Usually one use is all I get out of it, so I save it for things that I can't get off any other way.  As far as the price goes, I think… read full review »

I bought Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, because I have a creative toddler who sometimes gets paint and crayon on the walls, windows, and the floors. (Most of the time, on purpose!) I had seen the advertisements, and thought the Magic Eraser would be a great 1 step cleaner that I could use with a small bit of elbow grease. Unfortunately, it took as much elbow grease and scrubbing to get the washable crayon marks off the windows and walls as a regular sponge with dish detergent. Also, after one use, there wasn't much left for a second use. I was hoping that each sponge would last longer considering… read full review »

It even takes off permanent marker, I haven' found anything magic eraser cannot do! From windows to dishes to walls,I have yet to be disappointed. Great for sinks, bathtubs, I even use it to detail may van. Believe it or not, it will take calluses off of feet! Just dont use on your face, I had dark patches, so I thought I'd be smart, just a few rubs and I had what looked and felt like a rug burn, live and learn, I… read full review »

We also just moved into a nice, very spacy new house and to keep it clean and organized, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser helped me a lot. Of course, it's true, that you can't be using  it without first checking the surfice, to which you'll be applying it... but that approach applies to just about any decent, powerful cleaner, you'd ever use. Therefore, it's not such a big deal, it's just common sense. But I can't tell you enough, how effective and thorough this particular Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is. My kitchen and bathrooms could testify to… read full review »

I have never seen a sponge do what the Magic Eraser can do!  It will cut through grease, grime, dirt, mildew, just about anything you can imagine...and all you have to do is wet it and go.  I use it to clean the kitchen sink, counters, bathtubs, floors, outdoor furniture - I've even used it to clean love bugs off the front of our cars (though the package says not to use it on automotive paint, but I've never had it do any damage).  If you live in the south and have experienced the wonder that is love bugs...you know how difficult it is to get them off the car once they've dried… read full review »

I decided to give this item a try when I saw it at my local Home Depot. They had some on a table and people were using a red crayon on floor tile. They used the sponge and all of it came up! — — So I bought my box of magic erasers for about $3.99 which I thought was a little high. I decided to give it a try on my glass top stove. Every time I cook on it I have to scrub it. I wet the sponge and I swear I didn't have to scrub hard! I wiped over the cook top and everything was spotless. — — I thought if it did that well I'll try it other places. The white handle on my… read full review »

I actually product-tested Mr. Clean Magic Eraser before it came out on the market and thought it was great, except for the size of it and the durability factor.  While they haven't managed to make the magic eraser larger yet, they have come out with stronger, harder ones (the ones with the wavy edges on the bottom) that last much, much longer and don't fall apart so fast.  That was my drawback with the product test in that they fell apart so fast, that I felt they would not be very cost-effective.  I only buy the stronger ones myself, but am pleased with the results on how… read full review »

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about this product.  I received a sample in the mail and had to give it the test immediantly.  I worked on every scuff mark could I find.  I found it to be so incredible that I had to go out and buy several of them.  With two teenage boys in the house, things get pretty marked up.  Especially the walls.  This took off every surface scuff I used it on.  The only drawback I found, was that it does leave a chaulky-like residue behind.  You just have to make sure you carry a damp rag to use behind it. … read full review »

there great and u have to love the work they do for you, its better then getting out the old cleaning stuff and working so hard to get it all off and I find they work great on floors that i dont have to mop 10 times to get it to come off, if you dont like fumes and dont want to work real hard you sould try these out. They sould of came out long time ago, the generic kinds are not worth the money so dont try them pay the extra and make it right the frist time. I have used these on all most anything and there great on white shoes too. so Try them out and u will be happy Im sure of… read full review »

this product is always so easy to use ..I was worried that it would not work, hesitant to say the least but the very first time to the very last time I use it , it has to be by far one of the best, easiest products I will ever use and as for cost efficient it is well within range as you dont use this product once but several times. In your wildest dreams imagine if you will picking up a sponge and wiping off any type of debris and scuff marks. well hey this is it right here in a nutshell. —… read full review »

I don't see what all the fuss is about.  These things are definitely not "magic".  They don't work on most of the things I've used them on, and if they do, a washcloth and 409 would have done the same job, probably even better.  The eraser gets soggy and dirty, and where is it going as it dissolves anyway?  It leaves brown muck on what ever surface I'm cleaning.  I just don't get it.  Don't waste your… read full review »
