Satin Hands cream meets most of the requirements for a hand cream. The texture is fairly thick, but not too thick that it becomes a pain to rub in. I like something that isn't runny; I need to feel that it's somewhat luxurious! In terms of hydration, I think that it's initial impact is somewhat lacking. When I first use it, I don't really feel that my hands are hydrated. I don't feel like I really need to use another lotion, but I don't really feel that it has ‘hit the spot.' So after I used it, I generally follow with another lotion. Preferably a lotion that is a bit thinner in texture. However, as the day progresses, I notice that I don't need to reach for it anymore. Even after washing my hands, I feel that my hands are moisturized. The pros for me are that this product doesn't seem to have a smell. It is also very easy to rub in. A little of this goes a long way. The cons for me are that I need to use something else with it. Also this product leaves my hands look a bit greasy. After I use it, I always just wipe my hands on a paper towel to remove the excess. The look goes away eventually so it really isn't that big of a problem. Overall I would recommend this if someone is looking to improve the hydration level of their skin. However if your hands are looking pretty good already, then this might not be the product for you.

Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand cream does not deliver enough moisture for people with dry skin. Also if you have eczema, this product doesn't help with that. If your hands don't really need much moisture then I imagine this would work okay but I have dry hands with eczema that need a massive amount of moisture. For me, this product isn't effective enough. It only provided about a tenth of the moisture my hands need. I think this product would work well for young hands. I did like the smell of it, even though it didn't really do anything for my needs. I can say that it is absorbed quickly and didn't feel greasy at all. I just wish it made my hands feel good. I put it on twice thinking that maybe with two applications, it would feel better but it did not. I can say that it worked as well or maybe a tiny bit better than some of the drugstore lotions like Jergens. If you really want a heavy duty moisturizing lotion for dry hands then I recommend Aveeno. They have a formula for pretty much anyone.

Mary Kay satin hands hand cream

By

from USA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

I originally bought this hand cream as part of a three step hand system but after a few uses started using the hand cream on it's own. It really is a wonderful hand cream that is luxurious enough to make you think your using a very high end department store hand cream. It's non-scented, or lightly scented to the point that I don't notice it, gentle and non irritating to the skin. I get cracks and redness and itchiness on my hands and arms, this cream is great at soothing all that irritation and making my skin feel normal again.

Scent
This product is pretty much scent free. Maybe a slight lotion scent to it but no perfume smell at all.

Absorption
Absorbs fairly quickly and does not leave my hands greasy.

Effectiveness
I get horrible redness, itchiness, and redness all over my hands. This hand cream is thick and very effective at soothing the dryness on my hands. It's very gentle and great for everyday use.

There are few hand products that are in the same league!

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream is one of the best hand creams on the market. There are few other products that can stand up to this product. I have extensive experience with very dry and cracked hands (sometimes, in the winter, they even bleed and they hurt so much). I have used so many different products, but the Satin Hands cream always comes through for me. It absorbs better than most other creams and my hands do not feel greasy after applying this cream. It is important to me that a cream also heals my hands since the cold and washing them continually doe so much damage. This cream does help heal my hands and after a couple days, they start to look and feel so much smoother. The only reason I do not use this product all the time is because it is not always available. I always wish that Mary Kay products could be sold in stores. If they were sold in a store, I would be more apt to purchase the product more regularly.

Mary Kay hand cream is great for dry cracked hands.

By

from USA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

Mary Kay hand cream is one of my favorites. I have dry cracked hands in the winter. do a lot of quilting and handling the fabric rends to dry my hands. I have tried several hands creams and Mary Kay is the best one at moisturizing my hands without being greasy. I can apply it before I start a quilting project and not worry about getting an oily residue on the fabric.

Scent
The scent is pleasant but not overpowering so it can be used by the whole family. The scent is not flowery just clean smelling.

Absorption
The cream absorbs immediately without leaving a residue. With other creams I have had to wait to let them absorb before I could handle fabric or dishes. This is not the case with Mary Kay.

Effectiveness
Marry Kay hand cream really moisturizes my hands. Some creams absorb well but don't moisturize. Mary Kay does both. When using the Mary Kay cream I really notice a difference in my hands in the winter when my hands normally crack. They are soft instead of rough.

love this lotion!

By

from St. Paul, MN

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

This is one of my absolute favorite lotions! It's the perfect size for my purse and it's non-scented, so I can take it out and use it anywhere without disturbing anyone! I would buy this lotion over and over again. My favorite is the original Satin Hands. I don't really care for the peach scented one.

Scent
A very basic scent, doesn't smell like anything, which is super helpful for when your skin is really dry! It doesn't make my hands sting at all because it's non-scented. I've had trouble with other lotions stinging my hands due to the scent.

Absorption
Absorbs right away without leaving white streaks. My hands stay soft for quite a while after using it. It seems to be just the right consistency.

Effectiveness
This product does exactly as it claims to - it hydrates your skin and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Again, I love the size - it's enough to last awhile but small enough to keep in your purse on a daily basis!

This makes a lovely gift

By

from Richmond VA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

Mary Kay products are almost always a wonderful choice for those who want beauty products that mimic top-of-the-line results without breaking the bank. Satin Hands is one of my favorite Mary Kay offerings, and it is something that I give as a gift almost every year to the ladies in my family. I have found that it works wonders in making my hands feel soft and powdery, almost like baby skin. It is absolutely one of my favorites and I treat myself to it for my birthday every year.

Scent
I think that the Mary Kay line always has products with lovely scents! Satin Hands is no exception. It smells great.

Absorption
Satin Hands absorbs very well, better than most other similar products that I have tried. It does not linger or create a greasy feeling at all.

Effectiveness
In the warmer months, Satin Hands does a great job of making my hands feel smooth and soft. I cannot use it in the winter because I am prone to extremely dry skin, but anyone with normal skin will find it to be a really luxurious and effective product.

Mary Kay's satin soft hands!

By

from USA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

This is an amazing hand cream. I have extremely rough hands due to dry skin. This has always made me self-concious such as when shaking someone's hand. I am always being asked "Wow! Why are your hands so rough?" To make it worse, I often suffer from my hands cracking and bleeding in the winter months or if exposed to many common cleaning products. This is so painful! There have been times that my hands were so sore from the multiple cracks at every knuckle that I couldnt even bend them enough to tie my shoes! I have tried dozens of products my entire life to only find a few that actually work for me. This product is one of my favorites! I love the way it moisturizes and the fact that it lasts! My hands rarely crack at all now and no one ever asks me why my hands are so rough anymore because they feel like a lady's hands should feel....soft and gentle!

Absorption
Absorbs fast. Does not leave a greasy film on your hands.

Effectiveness
I have extremely dry skin and my hands and fingers often crack but using this hand cream has kept my skin soft and prevented the cracking

The best

By

from Ellerslie GA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

I have been using the Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream off and on for over eight years. This has got to be one of the best hand creams on the market. This a hand cream that holds in the moisture even after you wash your hands. The scent of the Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream is very light and smells so good. It also comes in the peach scent which is pretty good as well. I personally prefer the original. You can buy the Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream by itself or in the Satin Hands kit which you use in conjunction with the cream for an incredible experience. You can also use this cream on your feet even though it says for hands and it keeps your feet moisturized too. I really, really love this hand cream. Sometimes I have to use something different because it may not be in stock with my Mary Kay Consultant but ultimately this is my go to hand lotion for all occasions. I would certainly recommend this awesome lotion to all of my friends and family.

Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream does not deliver enough moisture

The name says it all

By

from Langhorne, PA

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

I recently received a small tube of this cream as a gift and have really enjoyed using it. Just as the name Satin Hands implies, this cream makes your hands feel smooth and soft. I personally love the peach scent, but there is an unscented as well for those that might be more sensitive to fragrance. The gentle cream absorbs immediately into the skin, although it being a really cold winter, it is hard for me to assess some aspects. There is actually an entire line of Satin Hands that includes an exfoliant which would probably help increase the effectiveness, but I only use the cream and am pretty satisfied with the softness of my hands after use.

Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream isn't super satiny.

By

from Goshen, IN

Comments about Mary Kay Satin Hands Hand Cream:

MaryKay has definitely changed their style in the past 10 years a lot- and they've majorly cramped it if you ask me. Times have changed- and they ain't changing with it. I liked the old mary kay- with the classic skin care and everything- but now everything is bigger, better and going healthier. [and more expensive, atleast they've kept up with the price changes ;) ]

But the Satin Hands Cream is pretty good. It's very smooth, very silky, and keeps your hands soft and helps with dry skin. I wouldn't say it's the best hand cream out there- but it is a very good product. If you really love Mary Kay, you'll love this product, If you don't like Mary Kay [like me], you'll probably just think it's a pretty good product but nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. I have pretty dry skin, but this doesn't make too much of a difference, just a little bit. I like the smells you can get it in, but it doesn't last very long on your hands, and is a little bit greasy and it takes forever to absorb into your skin. Overall, it's just an okay product. Good Luck Next Time Mary Kay:)

PS. But the good thing about MaryKay is you can return products if you don't like them!
