One taste and your hooked!

As an avid tea drinker since a very young age I have tried almost every tea in the supermarket shelves. When I came across the Lipton White Tea, Island Mango & Peach flavored tea I had to try it out. The very first sip I took I knew I was hooked! This tea is amazing!

I tried the Lipton Vanilla Caramel Truffle flavor tea, which also came in the pyramid bags. I loved the Vanilla Caramel Truffle tea: it was reasonably priced, delicious, and contained whole leaf tea in the convenience of the tea bag.Because I liked the Vanilla Caramel Truffle tea, I decided to give the White Tea, Island Mango and Peach flavor a try.It tasted terrible! Not at all like mango or peach. It tasted like turmeric. I couldn't finish my cup. I'm so disappointed, and now I'm stuck with this box of tea I'm not going to drink. To sum up, I think the Lipton pyramid tea bags are a good buy in general, but this particular flavor is yucky.

Light and refreshing, Lipton makes a fruity, tasty anytime tea.

***Quick View:*** I have been drinking tea since I was a child. I drink both hot and iced tea daily and have for years. I tend to stick with higher end teas when I buy flavored teas because they are less processed but when I saw **Lipton White Tea, Island Mango & Peach**, I was intrigued so I bought a box. I really like the light flavor and I will definitely buy more! ***My Take on Lipton White Tea, Island Mango & Peach*** These teabags are slightly different from regular ones in that they are a "pyramid" shape. Lipton says that is to allow the tea leaves to better emit their flavors. I don't know (or care) if that's true but the bags don't affect me one way or the other. The tea smells luscious in the box and continues to smell that way as it brews. I generally drink this one hot but have made it iced. I need about double for iced tea because white tea is very light. The tea contains both green and white teas as well as rose hips, lemon grass, licorice root, modified corn starch, and natural flavor. I'm not real thrilled with corn starch in tea and have no idea why it is in there. Other than that though, this tea contains 75mg of antioxidants per bag and is very easy on the taste buds. I don't taste any bitterness or grassy taste as I often do with loose teas and the peach and mango flavors are subtle. Unlike most fruity teas, I can add a dash of skim milk (which is always my preference with hot teas) and it doesn't taste funky with the fruit flavor. The tea is smooth and light .I like it at night (although it does have caffeine in it. Caffeine doesn't affect me anymore.) with a light snack or alone as a relaxing change of pace from my usual green teas. ***My Viewpoint*** I can't drink a LOT of **Lipton White Tea, Island Mango & Peach** because it has licorice root in it which can lower my potassium,. I take prescription supplements to make up for what I need and don't want to mess with that but I can drink this tea weekly without an issue or even a couple of times a week. I like it and it's a nice subtle, light tea that offsets my stronger ones. I also like that it isn't bitter like many herbal teas. ***4 stars***.

White Tea, Island Mango & Peach is the best!

Liptons White Tea, Island Mango & Peach is the best tea in this world. When I saw the tea bags I just had to try them. They are shaped like little pyramids and really neat! When I boiled the water for my tea, and put the tea bag in the boiling water...the entire room smelled so good! You could smell peaches everywhere!!! I am really not a hot tea drinker(I like sweet ice tea) but once I tried Liptons White tea, Island Mango & peach I was hooked! Its a great tea to try if you want to try something new and exciting! There are a few other flavors you can check out too!

I want off of this island...

Wow, I normally love white tea but this Lipton island stuff is awful. The aroma was surprisingly delicious and normally if I like the smell of a brewed beverage then I will enjoy the taste as well. Not with this tea... My main gripe is its weak flavor and cumbersome pyramid bag that screams 'gimmic'. I've admittedly never tried Lipton teas before and now have discovered why that is so. It's a cheap, mainstream tea company and, while there's nothing wrong with this, all I ask is that the product be of decent quality. I found the taste to be more reminiscent of dish water than peach or mango although the scent was misleading. I had high hopes for a company with notorious global renown but I was thoroughly disappointed. If you are interested in tasty warm teas that don't sacrifice quality for price then I suggest Twinings (an English based company) or Celestial Seasonings.
