LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal Review Summary

As a bright and colorful plush, the LeapFrog Counting Pal introduces little ones to colors, numbers and counting. In LeapFrog style, there are lots of activities, lights and sounds available. Though the sounds on the LeapFrog Counting Pal can grate on parent’s nerves, but the music “really captures little ones' attention.” Many parents boast their baby “has learned some of his numbers and colors by playing with this toy.” The one downside is “the sensors are hard to activate,” making it “hard for [your] child to operate alone.” Reviewer sibaley sums it up by stating “I think the caterpillar is bright and colorful and my baby loves it, as long as I operate it for her.” When you’re done reading about the LeapFrog Counting Pal check out more reviews on developmental toys for your little one.

All about the Counting Pal

Sofie is a little over a year old. She’s my great niece by marriage. Our daughter baby sits for her one day a week so I see Sofie a lot. One of her newest toys is Leap Frog Baby Counting Pal. I think I play with it as much as Sofie. Actually she’s at the age where she still...

The Leapfrog Baby Counting Pal is a plush caterpillar with a facial expression and cap that are familiar to all plush Leapfrog toys. She has a soft handle for carrying, five different-colored body segments with numbers on them, four feet with pictures of critters and various busy-baby contraptions inside,...

THIS TOY IS CHILD FRIENDLY AND SAFE. FROM EXPERIENCE I HAVE A 12MO SON AND HE STAYS ENTERTAINED WITH THIS TOY FOR SO LONG...it is a colorful caterpillar that sings the alphabet. it will help your child learn the alphabet easier and in a lot more fun of a way. it has flashing lights and the caterpillar also sings montsongs. A Childs attention span is supposed to be one minute per h..for example if ur son or daughter is six months old they should stay entertained for about an average of six minutes. When i set my son down to play in his pack and play (another great invention) he will play with it...

Who knew when I bought this toy on a whim at a 50% off sale that it would be one of my child's most loved toys? I love when I get a great bargain and she gets more than my money's worth of play out of it.

The catepiller has 3 modes - colors, music and numbers. With each mode, there is usually some sort of rhyming song to teach the child about the color or number (music just plays classical music).

Underneath each number is a small toy that does different things. There is a squeak toy, a bead chaser (sort of - it's flowers), a crinkle toy and a couple of others. The songs are fun to sing and easy...

The Baby Counting Pal is another wonderful learning toy made by Leap Frog.  It is a bright colored caterpillar that teaches babies about colors and counting through songs and plays classical music as well.  I brought my son to Target when he was about 7 months old and he personally picked out this toy.  He was very captivated by this toy- from the sweet smiling face of the caterpillar (which always caused him to smile back) to his bright colored body and his cheerful music and classic tunes.  Each of the caterpillar's feet are different- one squeaks, one has a bell, another has a rattle,...

From the time that my daughter got the Leap Frog Baby Counting Pal for Christmas last year when she was five months old, it has been one that she looks for every day.  Her grandmother loves it when she brings it to visit and will ask about "the caterpillar" if it's not in her diaper bag.  The songs are catchy and fun to sing along with and the different musical styles are wonderful for teaching children about rythym, harmony, melody, etc.  It introduces all kinds of different sounds, numbers, colors, textures, and musical styles.  We have used this toy multiple times on a daily basis and have...

The LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal is designed for 3 months to 24 months of age. It is shaped as a caterpillar and has the numbers 1-5 and has picture of animals below the numbers. It has a couple of different activities on the neck that you turn so they can play different things. It can strap to the crib to play or take along to wherever baby goes. It may be able to be strapped to a stroller as well. It is different colors with different sounds. Helps with skills in sight, hearing, touching, and feeling. It would be good for those older children learning to count even though it was designed for 3...

I have two daughters, they are 22 months and 11 months. They are both equally entertained with the LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal caterpillar. In fact they fight over it most of the time. Having two girls so close together, we have tons of baby toys so when one of them got this as a gift I wasn't over the moon or anything. Until they started playing with! There are four different modes, one for numbers and counting, two different modes that play songs, and one for colors. In each mode, the five different sections of the caterpillars body can be pushed to do different things, like each section plays...

The counting caterpiler is great for infants and small children. My nephew loved this toy for the music and other noises it made. he would sing and dance to the caterpiler music. This caterpiler is great to help children count or just talk in general. Also the multiple bright colors is defiantly a attration to children. The caterpiler never gets old either. it is one my nephews favorite toys ever since he was an infant. Ans it is not to annoying or noisy but im not going to say its completly unannoying. I would reommend this toy for mostly infants but also toddler. defiantly a good toy to take...

This is a really cute little toy. rated 3mo+

I got one as a shower gift for my youngest who is now 4 months old. He really likes his. Of course, I have to press the colors to make it sing for him because he's still young yet for doing this on his own. The rattling and noise making parts on the bottom are great for a beginner in playing! The only complaint that I have is that I CANNOT get the thing to stay attached to the tray on his swing with the straps and velcro that it has on the back for him to sit up and play with it on his own, and it is WAY too bulky to put in his carseat because...

This toy is wonderful for in a stroller or carseat.  It isn't obnoxiously loud like so many musical toys.  Easy to get on and off so it can go anywhere.  Has lots of different actvities so it is great for quite a few ages, making it last longer than many toys on the market.  This toy was bought as a gift for my son and over a year later he still plays with it (and so does his older sister), it isn't easy to find something like that.  The only thing I would add is a few flashing lights her and there.  Especially in the car, kids are distracted easier when there are lights for them to focus... review »

As a bright and colorful plush, the Leap Frog Counting Pal introduces little ones to colors, numbers and counting. The Leapfrog Baby Counting Pal is affordable and will do the job when you need something to entertain the little ones.
Every now and then I babysit for my sister and my nephew can spend a good amount of time entertained with this toy. He's only 8 months old but he loves this toy and is perfect to start learning some new things. I totally recommended however the only down side its not very easy to operate alone at an early age. My nephew loves the colors, sounds, and even the rattling...

This toy was bought for my son when he was a few months old. He couldn't work it on his own at first, as he approach a year old I would push the buttons with him and sing along with the toy. I have one for the house and one hooked to the back of the front seat in the car and he'll sit there and kick it and have a ball.

It's leapfrog so of course it's a wonderful educational toy. It teaches you colors and numbers and tells you the pictures on each button. My son is only a year old so he mainly enjoys the singing.

This is a good toy that you can use with your child.  My young toddler would have a problem finding the inside button to get the music to play.  I would usually use it while I was in reach of the toy so I could make the music play.  It did keep him busy when the music was playing.  The small toy attachments are nice.  The only thing I would change about the toy is the buttons should be more sensitive.  My 9 months old still can not puch the buttons, but finally my three year old can.

I love this toy and so does my 8 moth old daughter loves it. She likes the colors and especially the songs that it sings. It's educational and it was very inexpensive at the same time. The only problem I have with it is that it was hard for my daughter to push the buttons by herself when I first got it for her. However now that she is getting older she is more able to push the buttons on her own. Also she can use it through her toddler years. I would definately recommend this to anyone with a child.
