LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal Review Summary

As a bright and colorful plush, the Leap Frog Counting Pal introduces little ones to colors, numbers and counting. In Leap Frog style, there are lots of activities, lights and sounds. Though the sounds on the Leap Frog Counting Pal can gate parent’s nerves, but the music “really captures little ones' attention.” Many parents boast their baby “has learned some of his numbers and colors by playing with this toy.” The one downside is “the sensors are hard to activate,” making it “hard for [your] child to operate alone.” While you’re here, check out more reviews on developmental toys for your little one.

All about the Counting Pal — Sofie is a little over a year old. She’s my great niece by marriage. Our daughter baby sits for her one day a week so I see Sofie a lot. One of her newest toys is Leap Frog Baby Counting Pal. I think I play with it as much as Sofie. Actually she’s… read full review »

The Leapfrog Baby Counting Pal is a plush caterpillar with a facial expression and cap that are familiar to all plush Leapfrog toys. She has a soft handle for carrying, five different-colored body segments with numbers on them, four feet with pictures of critters and various busy-baby contraptions… read full review »

THIS TOY IS CHILD FRIENDLY AND SAFE. FROM EXPERIENCE I HAVE A 12MO SON AND HE STAYS ENTERTAINED WITH THIS TOY FOR SO LONG...it is a colorful caterpillar that sings the alphabet. it will help your child learn the alphabet easier and in a lot more fun of a way. it has flashing lights and the caterpillar also sings montsongs. A Childs attention span is supposed to be one minute per h..for example if ur son or daughter is six months old they should stay entertained for about an average of six minutes. When i set my son down to play in his pack and play (another great invention) he will play… read full review »

This is a really cute little toy. rated 3mo+ — I got one as a shower gift for my youngest who is now 4 months old. He really likes his. Of course, I have to press the colors to make it sing for him because he's still young yet for doing this on his own. The rattling and noise making parts on the bottom are great for a beginner in playing! The only complaint that I have is that I CANNOT get the thing to stay attached to the tray on his swing with the straps and velcro that it has on the back for him to sit up and play with it on his own, and it is WAY… read full review »

This toy is wonderful for in a stroller or carseat.  It isn't obnoxiously loud like so many musical toys.  Easy to get on and off so it can go anywhere.  Has lots of different actvities so it is great for quite a few ages, making it last longer than many toys on the market.  This toy was bought as a gift for my son and over a year later he still plays with it (and so does his older sister), it isn't easy to find something like that.  The only thing I would add is a few flashing lights her and there.  Especially in the car, kids are distracted… read full review »

This toy was bought for my son when he was a few months old. He couldn't work it on his own at first, as he approach a year old I would push the buttons with him and sing along with the toy. I have one for the house and one hooked to the back of the front seat in the car and he'll sit there and kick it and have a ball. — It's leapfrog so of course it's a wonderful educational toy. It teaches you colors and numbers and tells you the pictures on each button. My son is only a year old so he mainly enjoys the singing. —… read full review »

This is a good toy that you can use with your child.  My young toddler would have a problem finding the inside button to get the music to play.  I would usually use it while I was in reach of the toy so I could make the music play.  It did keep him busy when the music was playing.  The small toy attachments are nice.  The only thing I would change about the toy is the buttons should be more sensitive.  My 9 months old still can not puch the buttons, but finally my three year old… read full review »

I love this toy and so does my 8 moth old daughter loves it. She likes the colors and especially the songs that it sings. It's educational and it was very inexpensive at the same time. The only problem I have with it is that it was hard for my daughter to push the buttons by herself when I first got it for her. However now that she is getting older she is more able to push the buttons on her own. Also she can use it through her toddler years. I would definately recommend this to anyone with a… read full review »

I bought this toy about 2 1/2 years ago when my first son was born and when we took our daily walks this toy always came with us. I would put this in the stroller and play the classical music as we strolled around the neighborhood. He grew up loving it and I enjoyed it too. I'm thinking I need to dig it out of the bottom of the toy box for my second son who has missed out on 5 months of this toy. My oldest grew out of everything that doesn't have wheels around 11/2.… read full review »

I think the caterpillar is bright and colorful and my baby loves it, as long as I operate it for her. She gets quite frustrated with this toy because she is unable to make it work herself, which has become very important to her. At the same time, I am frustrated because I do not want to stop every few minutes and help her turn it on. For now, I have hidden the toy out of sight and only bring it out when we are sitting and playing together and she likes it as background noise while we… read full review »

I received this toy as a gift when I was pregnant.  I love this toy, its soft, colorful, and the sound is great.  My oldest son likes to sing and dance with it too.  I think its great that it teaches music, numbers, animals and insects, and color.  You can even strap it to a car seat or in the crib, or even a stroller.  I think its very versatile and a great gift to receive.  Heck its by LeapFrog, you can't go wrong with… read full review »

We actually got this toy second hand and I was sure my grandson wouldn't like it, and he didn't,......he LOVED it!  As a baby he liked the soothing melodies and as he got older he likes the pictures and numbers and the different textures.  It's nice to have a toy that grows with a child.  The sound is great, and there are options on how it plays too!  We bought one for our nephew so they wouldn't fight over the one we… read full review »

My son is 6 months old.  He has loved this toy since he could love toys.  He is just now figuring out how to push the numbers.  But he has always loved to play with the flowers and bees and rattles down below.  It has velcro straps on it that makes it easy to attach it to the carseat, the shopping cart, the stroller.  He loves to listen to the music.  It soothes him.  It's a… read full review »

This toy is great, very educational for your kids! My son received this as a gift and loved it! The toy has different  features such as colors, Numbers, music, and classical music!  Teaches your little one how to start counting and learning different colors as well! However the toy does get a little annoying after a while of playing with it, My son plays the same note over and over..... —… read full review »
