Even on the box they call it elegance and performance. it's a nice looking fan. It's very handy to have that remote when you just don't like getting up. if this fan would had any more speed to it, it   would blow your wig off.it easy to keep clean. you can also use without the remote. it have 3 speed.I use this along with my air conditioner ,I keep it on 78 degree and allow the fan to blow air in the  room. I like this fan not that expensive as some are.ELEGANT yes look very nice in the home.fit right in with your furniture. so lovely.

I bought this fan two years ago at Lowe's. It was on sale, and I had a 10% coupon (you can get when you sign up for their movers club).  So, it was a great buy, and my previous stand fan had just bitten the dust so I really needed something. I laughed at the included remote control, but I have to say it's actually pretty nice to have.  Especially fun and humerous was when my husband came to admire the new fan and didn't know it had a remote control. He couldn't figure out why it kept shutting off!  He was ready to rip it apart and fix it -- or haul it back to the store for a refund, when my giggling could no longer be contained.  Yes, folks, this fan is fun for the whole family. I'm not an expert on fans, but this cools well and has a very large diameter that seems to really move air around. It oscillates and the height is adjustable.  Granted, it hasn't been adjusted or moved since we got it, but it's nice that it does in case of emergency.  :-D I would recommend this Lasko 1850 Stand (Pedestal) Fan. It's lasted two years so far and still looks brand new and runs perfect. We use it constantly during the summer months since we live in a hot climate.

I have owned a few Lasko fans in the last few years, and I have to say that there are better choices out there for the same price.  They don't hold up as well as I'd like.  If you are going to be running a fan 24/7 over the summer, look elsewhere....

I actually have two of these fans. One is in the bedroom and the other is in the living room. I love that they have remotes with them. So that way on lazy days you do not have to get up off the couch or bed to change the speed, or even cut it on or off. I have to admit though, when you first get it and it is running it does sound a bit loud. After you get use to it, it is not so bad. They are easy to clean. If you have a dishwasher, the blade and covers are actually dishwasher safe. I am thinking od getting another one for the kitchen. The price is great as well. Seriously get your butt out there and get one or two or three hahaha.
