LUSH Sandstone soap is a brick of mostly natural, handmade lemon soap with a thick toppng of real hard packed sand to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. I love it although many would question why I would want to shower with sand!

The scent is what got me. It is sublime. It is a pure lemon...
Most HelpfulWhat is it?
This soap is a lemon scented soap that has a layer of sand in it at the bottom. The smell of fresh lemon is truly wonderful, and so I thought I would really love this soap.
Why DON'T I like it?
The problem with this soap is that when you use it, sand gets EVERYWHERE! The sand is good...
review »I love LUSH Sandstone soap! It's actually what LUSH calls a 2-in-1 soap in that there are two layers; the yellow soap layer which cleanses, and the sand layer which exfoliates. I love the results of each layer and love that there is sand in this soap.
One thing I love about spending time at the beach is walking in the sand with my bare feet. It's like nature's pedicure as the friction of my feet against the sand helps to get rid of my ugly rhinoceros heels. Sandstone gives me that same natural exfoliating feeling but in my soap which I can use all over my body.
Sandstone's soap layer is bright...
review »I have a love/hate relationship with the LUSH brand... I dislike more of their products than I like but for some reason I still feel compelled to try everything in the line. One of the best products that I've tried in the past year is Sandstone Soap. I've even gotten my sister hooked on it and she has no idea what LUSH is.
This soap is a translucent yellow with opaque white blobs scattered throughout. Along the top, there's about a half-inch layer of packed sand like you'd see at the beach. The idea is to wash your skin with the soap and exfoliate it with the sand. The problem is that...

This is not just soap. It is an experience! Washing with sand & what smells lucious as lemon peels. Not Dove!
In a shower, not a bathtub since the sand does fall apart as you use it. You rub the sand into your skin & it removes all impurities that could lead to ache, cellulite, or just flakey dry skin. No boby pouf needed with it. The sand is the rough ingredient that cleanses.
Then rinse well & run water inthe drain so the sane particles pass through your drainage system& I am guessing that also cleans it out with the roughage.
I will admit, I'm a Lush addict. I've probably tried just about everything in that store and I regularly drive two hours to shop there. They sell a lot of unique soaps with crazy things inside, but Sandstone is one of my favorites. Yeah, you get sand in the bottom of your tub, but it rinses out--I can deal with it. I love how it exfoliates my skin and I really really love the way it smells. Very pleasant and citrus-y. One complaint I have is that sometimes the soaps don't hold up well in storage--I bought a bunch during Lush's after Christmas sale and I had them in a dry room, as suggested...
review »This is a foot spa in a bar! I was so impressed with this product, I can't even tell you! The scent, the feel, the work it does - WOW! I would recommend this to anyone, and while you are at the store, buy one for your mom, sister, aunt, cousin and all your friends. They will love you forever!
