It has got my very far and I love it!

The Lg rhythm has got me very far. Between droping it, and scratching it all up. Maybe even a little water. It still works great. The battery has a good life expand. White is my color so I love the color it comes in. Also, it is a touch screen and a music player. I can go to the web and bring up anything I like.

Love it

Took awhile to figure out how to use it and get used to the slider (after having a flip phone). I love the music capabilities and use it as an MP3 player daily. Phone picks up great and has lots of features. The camera is also awesome!

I like my phone because it fits in my back pocket.

I really like this phone. It's slim and fits in my back pocket so I don't need a belt clip. Those are just not fashion savvy! This phone also has a camera. I don't use it that much but it comes in handy when I need it. I also like the cool colors!

I hate the touch screen

3

My husband and I just upgraded our phones to this Verizon LG touch screen phone.  The front is a touch screen and you can flip it open to reveal a keyboard for texting.  Having the keyboard is A LOT more convenient than having to push numbers 2 or 3 times for letters, but it does nake it more diffcult to text while you are driving (not that you should be while you are driving!)  I have found that I do not text while I am driving anymore since I am obligated to look down and have to hold the phone with both hands to be able to use the keyboard ( on my previous phone, I knew off the top of my head how many pushes on the number 8 key to get the letter V and so forth. The only thing complaint I have is that the touchscreen is kind of tricky when wanting to scroll up/down.  For example when you want to skim trough your contacts, you have to use your finger to slide up or down and more often than not, you end up dialing someone by accident.

Wow! I like the phone but never dreamed it would be 'fun'.

Wow!  I like the phone but never dreamed it would be 'fun'.  My LG UX585 has really blown me away with its not phone features.  It has all the usual phone capabilities but add the excellent camera and camcorder features that save to phone and scan disc with the music features, and I have unexpectedly gotten fun along with practical.  I am a singer and use the mp3 and wma extensions to upload my karaoke and listening tracs respectively to the phone to practice wherever I am.  An added bonus is that while in home or car, I can tune my phone to a radio station and practice with home and car stereo quality sound.  Also, the sound of this little phone is outstanding since it has 5 choices of equalizer sounds and saves the choice of sound to its assigned song. The camera and camcorder qualities are great.  It takes great pictures.  My pictures from previous phone were uploaded to the Rhythm so I didn't lose them.  I never paid a fee to send them to computer and was afraid I would lose them in the phone change.  I now save my pictures to micro SD so It is a breeze to copy them to the computer.  Some of the negatives of this phone is that, through mega research online, I can't find software support to use its own data/charger cable to transfer pics from the phone to my computer via USB.  Also, all audio must in mp3 format and saved to phone to be used as ringers.  Unless you have a program that will let you cut your mp3 song to a ringer length segment, you will quickly use up the phone's preset memory for these.  Also, the manual is not adequate if you really want to know where and what your phone will do.  For instance, I currently have an icon showing which was identified in the phone icon glossary as EVDO.  I can not find in the manual any reference to EVDO.  I searched the internet and have found some support that it is a step up feature to a wireless card.  It requires a service and devours the battery life of the phone.  As I don't desire to pay for additional services for my phone, I will not be a phone internet user.  I would like to disable this feature and save my battery power.  The manual of course does not tell me what EVDO is much less how to disable it.  The LG home site isn't helpful here either. Over all, for my needs and wants, I love this phone.  Pink is nice too!

It works, but not too many bells and whistles.

I purchased this phone as part of an upgrade.  It ended up being free.  The reason that I chose it was because I did not have an internet plan nor a texting plan.  Which is a great thing because had I had either of those, this phone would have been terrible.  The keyboard/number pad make texting difficult.  However, the mp3 player portion of the phone works well.  Since I do not have an internet plan, I did have to purchase an additional cord to put music on the phone.  If you want to put on CDs that you have purchased you will also need the cord.  The music/mp3 aspect works similar to an ipod which is nice.  The only other features of the phone are of use are the alarm clock, the calculator (both ez tip and regular) and I do find myself using the stopwatch portion of it.  It you are looking to upgrade your plan to include internet or even texting.  I would not recommend this phone.  If you are looking for a phone to listen to music and just talk on...this phone works well.

I would not pay money for the LG Rhythm phone

This phone is deceptively slick looking.  It has some really cool features that enticed my husband to buy it.  Music sounds fairly good on it and it will take short video clips and it has a really cool display.  He also liked the touch feature and that the keys are protected when you close the phone.  For the first six months that he had this phone he was really pleased with it.  Then the problems began.  It started holding less and less of a charge and is now to the point where he unplugs it before he leaves for work in the morning and has to plug it back in as soon as he gets home that evening or it will be dead by bedtime.  Another problem is that the slides are very sensitive to dirt, dust and grime, so while it used to slide open and closed nicely, it now is kind of gritty and doesn't slide smoothly.  This may not be a problem depending on how you carry and use your phone, but anyone who isn't super cautious about it will have the same problem.  Most recently it has stopped receiving calls about 90% of the time.  My husband and I have sat side by side with our cell phones and one time it took 12 tries before his phone actually rang when I called him.

Extremely durable, easy to use phone

5

The LG Rhythm is a great phone! It is very simple to use. It is a slider phone, and i love that the front is a touch pad. Instead of touch screen, it has the touch pad, plus the wheel. It locks everytime you close it, so you don't have to worry about but dialing or anything. Plus you can change the settings so the touch pad isn't to sensitive. It is a music player also. But the thing i don't like about it is that you can only put on songs that you own. You can't use subscription music. And you can't just transfer it with the usb cable. You have to use an SD Card. But I do like that you can use an sd card with this. It has a pretty good camera, except it doens't zoom in very far. If you are taking pictures, it makes it look very far away. The videos are good too. You can take videos to send, that are only fifteen seconds long, or change the settings to videos to save, and it can be an hour long. The menu is easy to use and there are two different colors and styles that you can use. There is also many different font styles and sizes that you can use. It is an extremely durable phone also. I have dropped it on the ground countless times and I have dropped it completely under water, and it still works perfectly. It isn't super expensive, and it is definitely a good phone.

Cute, easy, and fun!

I bought this phone because it was being discontinued, and was therefore only a penny on my plan at U.S. Cellular. I chose the pink one. I love it. It slides up and has a keypad underneath. There's also a scrolling wheel on the front so you can scan through contacts, options, etc. The touch-pad buttons on the side of the scroll wheel (back, menu, etc) are extra sensitive, but you can actually turn that down in the phone options. I do find that the text dictionary has some WEIRD words, which screws me up sometimes when I want to spell something that's actually a word. The alarm clock wakes me up every day. Very reliable. I haven't put any MP3s on the phone yet, but it is a music phone, so I will eventually put music on it. The generic ring tones suck, but I can add my own so that's fine. There is a tip calculator, a currency exchanger, a notepad, and other useful applications. I use the notepad and the calculators all the time. One problem I did find is that when I set a calendar event alarm to go off every day (for medications), it has stopped going off. When I go into the calendar, it still shows my events, but it won't alert me anymore even though the option to alert me is still on in the event. So I deleted the event and reset it, and I hope it will start going off again.

I can't live without my LG Rythme Phone.

**This i a review on the LG Rythme Phone. I have my cell phone service with Alltel. I absolutely love my new phone. It has so many different things I can do with this phone. I love the camera on it and the fact it has an external memory card that i can take to the store and print out my pictures from it. I love to take pictures. And let me tell you this is one tough little phone too. Hey it's survived living with me so far. LOL. I am pretty rough on my cell phone though really. I like all the options this phone has to offer and my service with alltel is pretty awesome too. I don't have any trouble with this phone dropping calls or anything and the menu on this phone is so easy to navigate throught. It spells it all out for you it's so easy. I really like all the different ring tones this phone comes with, i've never had a phone to come with that many different ring tones on it before. I would recommend this phone to any and everyone. I love everything about it. I have so much fun with this phone.**
