Was very disappointed after all the work of installing this slightly oversize dishwasher as to the lack of cleaning effectiveness and the smell if you don't wash everything off and allow to sit at all. My family hates it, I like how quiet it is and I trust it is energy effecient, though that is a trust matter as I can't document. Our glasses are frequently scuzzy and flecks of dried food, use the dryer additive as they recommend and it helps but if you don't load it perfectly good luck. I would never be allowed to buy this again by my family, and if it were up to them I'd throw this one away and buy another one (no money tree so can't do that).

Our old dishwasher started leaking water and so we went to a large warehouse store to buy a new one.  The selection wasn't that great and there was a big price leap between the ones they had to sell.  We decided on the LG because it had a deep top rack and a place for stemware on the top.  Also, we liked the way it looked.  At first I thought it was a little pricey, but now I really think it was well worth the money.  It runs very quietly and just has a few beeps when it finishes.  I can fit a lot of dishes in it, which I really like.  With my old dishwasher I would have to put the taller cups on the bottom and that ould take up space, but with this LG diswasher I can put those bigger cups on the top, no problem.  I love the way it only has one compartment for saop, my old diswasher had two, which kind of seemed like a waste.  My favorite thing about this diswasher is that it is so quiet.  This LG is great.

I recently had to replace my Meile dishwasher. After looking around we decided on the LG Built in Dishwasher. One of the features that I had really loved about my Meile was the third top rack for cutlery. Not many dishwashers have that feature, but we found it in the LG brand. I spent a bit more than I had planned to, but I thought I was getting a quality product. WRONG! The only one nice thing I can say about the LG brand of dishwasher is that it was very, very quiet. But what good is a quiet dishwasher if it can't even get the dishes clean! Honestly! Some things came out dirtier than they were when they went in if you can believe that! The food particles from the items on the bottom rack would redeposit on the glasses on the top rack and dry there. I literally had to flick off the dried on food particles off of all of my glasses after each load. Casserole pans would come out looking just like they did when I put them in unless I "washed" them first...and what would be the point then of having a dishwasher! And don't even get me started on the third rack for cutlery. Nothing up there got clean. After about a month we returned the machine and purchased a cheaper brand. It is not as quiet, but the dishes are finally getting cleaned. Avoid the LG dishwasher!

When we moved into our house, there was a dishwasher here, built-in with a cabinet front.  The inside of the dishwasher was stained with rust.  We are on well water with a high iron content.  Obviously the filtration system for the well water was put into place well after this dishwasher was installed.  Since we were not satisfied with how well it worked, we started looking for a new one.  After much research, we picked this LG steam dishwasher.  It has the rack on the very top to lay your cutlery out but also came with a cutlery basket.  We figured that it would be too much trouble to use the top rack but tried it anyway.  Now, we only use the top rack!  No more worry about the utensils 'spooning' together and everything is sparkling clean.  It is an extremely quiet machine.  Even when you are standing right in front of it, it is hard to hear it running.  It is also very energy efficient and tells you how long your program will take.  I find that I use the steam function every time as the dishes get to very clean.  The only complaint that I have is that water collects in the very bottom, or doesn't completely drain out after a cycle, and starts to smell.  We use our dishwasher about every third or fourth day so to combat the smell, I just leave the door open for about 15 minutes each day and the smell is gone.  We are very satisfied with this machine.

The Lg dishwasher is so quiet you can hardly hear it run.  I don't have to "wash" my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher.  There are many cycles to choose from which gives me lots of options.  The regular cycle takes about 2 hours but that is ok because I can't hear it!  It is a water saver dishwasher too! There are several different ways to load your dishes and a lot of baskets to put your silverware in.
