I never intended to sign up for a Kohl's credit card, but after making a large in-store purchase one day, the opportunity to receive 10% off my entire purchase was too tempting to refuse. Kohl's had me hook, line, and sinker. — While I try to curb my online spending, it can be difficult to do that when Kohls.com has some great clearance sales. The Kohl's card is the only department store card I own - and the only one I want to own. First, they give you a discount on your purchase when you sign up (as does just about everyone!), but then they keep giving you discounts. I dont' use many credit cards other than my check-card to my checking account, but this one I do use at times. As long as I pay at least 1/3 of my bill by the next billing date, I have no finance charge. So I'm paying same as cash. Nice… read full review »

I don't like to use credit unless it's an absolute emergency. However, being a frequent shopper at Kohl's for holidays, birthdays, gifts and myself, it has been worth all the discounts to apply for a Kohl's card. On one shopping experience I spent over $100 and with my discounts, coupons etc. my bill was about $20.00. This is probably an exception and not the rule. This card is great if you do a lot of shopping at Kohls or Kohls.com. There are many benefits, such as the MVC club where you get special savings throughout the year on top of the already great sales. — I do not like to carry store cards, but the Kohl's card is clearly a good one to have because of the 15% discount days coupled with their excellent sales. They also carry clothing that my entire family likes to wear. My problem is with the financial end of the card service. I will admit that I let the card lapse for 30 days one time a few years ago, but then I paid it off in full as usual. I love to shop at Kohl's department store. They always have great sales and clearance items each and every week. When you receive their ads in the mail and they come with one of their discount cards, you know to get on over to one of their stores. Using their Kohl's credit cards with the discount card will save you a lot of money. Even when I don't "need" anything from their store, I still go check out their sales because I always find great deals when I use my Kohl's credit card. This is one great credit card! I love the fact that they give you the option to pay a certain dollar amount each month in return for no finance charge. This is truly a win-win! It's totally up to you, the consumer, to pay that payment or pay whatever you can afford. This is one card that makes me feel appreciated and rewarded. More credit card companies need to take a lesson from Kohls!! They would be rewarded with more loyal customers. They would still reap the return from those who always carry a balance. I got my Kohl's credit card to get a 15% discount on my first purchase there. I like getting coupons through mail and email. They also give discounts sometimes for using the card. I've gotten some really good deals like that. — I love Kohl's dishes and when they have good sales, they're very good. We got a Presto griddle for $9.99 and it's a big one. — Also, our local Kohl's has senior days where senior citizens get an extra discount on certain days of the week. When I focus on buying what is only in the weekly sale with my preferred discount coupons and buy on Senior discount day, the prices are great. Kohl's also occassionally does an "instant" discount amount to boot. When I add it all together, the prices and product are excellent. Then, I pay with my Kohl's card which allows me to spread out the total in 3 equal payments to avoid the interest fee. They require you mail you payments 10 days prior to the due date. If they receive it 1 day late, they charge you $25.00 and are inflexible regarding this. I have never seen such requirements from other store charges (and I have several!) that it takes 10 days for them to receive and process a full paymethnt. The Kohl's MVC card is great. I can save an additional 15% 3 times a year and getting the extra 15, 20 or 30% savings is great too. I have always had the best service and returning things are never a hassle. I use the Kohl's card every time I shop at Kohl's and when they have a special percent off or if you spend $50 you get $10 in Kohl's cash, the card is definitely worth it.
