The Kenmore Elite Canister Vacuum Cleaner is a small, compact, yet strong vacuum cleaner. Overall, I just like it because it is easy to take out and start to use immediately. Because of it's small and lightweight size, I can quickly access the vacuum cleaner to use it to clean up simple messes instantly. It's such a pain to drag out a heavy vacuum cleaner just to clean up a small mess. It's small but still powerful enough. There are different settings for carpet versus bare floors so it is very versatile as well. As far as I can tell the suction performance is great. It's design is also very nice. Having a canister to hold all the dust is good. It makes the vacuum lighter, although I do have to drag the canister around with me. Nevertheless, it has never been an issue so far. It's design is good and I can maneuver around furniture and other objects around the house. This vacuum cleaner is great for someone who likes to keep the house clean. The only problem I have with this vacuum is the price. It is a bit steep and although I like it, I wish it could have been priced a little lower.

When I first purchased this vacuum I thought it was nice and new but had no idea how much easier cleaning would be. I work full time and have 3 children that are basic messy kids...lol. This helps me keep up with them and get the job done right. Ease of Maintenance Very easy to dump the dirt and cat hair we have at home. I like being able to see what I am cleaning up. The kenmore elite canister vacuum cleaner is definitely not worth what I paid for it. We went through a variety of vacuums and floor cleaners that weren't good and this was just another one added to the list. The canister was a little more appealing than the others I seen because it wasn't a giant heavy thing to push around. I also found the detachable nozzle appealing because it showed that it could do ceiling fans and hard to reach corners and hair. So we bought it, but I definitely was not happy about the price. I know they can be expensive if they are good vacuums, but after my experience with it, this was ridiculously overpriced. So I tried it and it wasn't horrible, but it was not the super suction power vacuum it claimed to be. There wasn't even a huge difference in what I saw between this one and my old one. I then proceeded to use the detachable nozzle hose to clean a ceiling fan in my bedroom and it did get some of the dirt but it mostly pushed it onto my floor which made me extremely annoyed. After a few weeks and thinking about what I paid for the vacuum and its mediocre performance at best, I decided to return it. To me it felt like false advertising and definitely taking advantage with the price they ask. Not a vacuum for me. I wouldn't recommend trying.

I have never been a huge fan of canister vacuums. They just have always seemed more of a hindrance than a help. However I was given the Kenmore Elite Canister vacuum a couple months ago as a gift, and have to say its a pretty good vacuum. Im one of those people that is a little OCD about corners and the gunk that collects there. And this vacuum does a great job of getting into those corners. It also has awesome suction power. The nice thing a about this Kenmore vacuum is it makes not only cleaning the corners, but stairs and furniture easier to clean. I also noticed that the actual canister part isn't as heavy as other canister vacuums that I have used in the past. I actually find myself using this vacuum more than my regular upright vacuum. Its definitely the vacuum for you if you don't mind canister style vacuums, are OCD about keeping the carpets clean or have a lot if awkward spaces to vacuum. That being said, I wouldn't advise you to buy it if you don't have a lot of carpet to vacuum.

I bought the Kenmore Elite Canister Vacuum Cleaner a couple of years ago when. At first, I really liked this vacuum. I thought that when I purchased it that it would be great to keep down dust in my home. I thought the vacuum was a little heavy for the size of it. After using it a couple of times, I realized that it was blowing more dust out than what it was picking up. There is no way to empty the canister without making a mess. I found the suction power of the machine to be very weak. I would have to go over the same spot several times to get it clean, even on hardwood flooring. I kept the vacuum for almost six months before I decided to hand it down to my daughter. I have bought many Kenmore products in the past and loved them but the Elite vacuum was by far not one of the best. I would not purchase another vacuum of this model again. I feel as I wasted my money on this particular purchase.
