Red is the hardest color to maintain, especially in the summer! I see my stylist on a regular 4 week basis and my color stays bright in between with Joico Color Endure shampoo and conditioner. I play tennis 2-3 times a week, and sweat with the best of them - so if I can stay red, you can too. Effectiveness I've used this shampoo for 6 months, long enough to make this claim. Scent The scent is not strong, I like that!

Being a hairstylist (and usually having a lot to all platinum blonde iny hair) for ten years, I have only come across a few shampoos that actually deposit color at all, and the few products that did an "okay" job were stinky or just didn't last long. Let me start with a small warning to those with the whitest of white blonde and porous ends (chemically damaged): this shampoo has a lot of color deposit to it and could grab to the ends of your hair creating a violet sheen. No worries though, if it happens bad enough to bother you, it will easily come back out with one shampoo. This will be evident when you first pour it out, because it is like purple paint. Looks scary, but it evens out when lathered. The Joico shampoo itself should sit on up to five minutes, depending on your desired results. If you are very brassy and would rather it have that whitened, "Playboy" blonde, this will get it there! I recommend using this two to three times per week. Note: Your hair has to be a light blonde already. It does not lift the color. Scent I feel like the smell is a little flowery for my taste, but it still smells good!

I went in for a hair cut and started talking to the stylist about my gray, one heavy streak and lots of salt and pepper. She suggested this shampoo and conditioner once a month. I used it again for the 2nd time and was amazed at how bright my gray is, white not yellow. Effectiveness I have long hair and found that it takes a lot of the product to shampoo my hair and get any lather. It is slightly shocking to see dark purple on your hands, but it just rinses off. It left my hair shiny and silky and it moves!

I have been using this shampoo for years now, and I absolutly love it. I was born a brunette, but have highlighted my hair blonde for 10+ years now. This is the only product I have found that can sucessfully keep my blonde bright, shiney, and brass-free!  If you're seeing some dulling or orange tones in your highlights this will brighten you up beautifully!
