I have tried many types of dental floss over the years, and this Johnson & Johnson Reach Waxed Dental Floss, while certainly not the worst I've tried, is not my favorite. The floss is so heavily coated in wax that sometimes when I am pulling the floss back up through my teeth, waxy bits flake off and get stuck between my teeth. This floss comes in other flavors (I'm partial to the cinnamon), and they are somewhat preferable to this unflavored floss because this stuff tastes like...wax. It's not ideal. Instead of feeling refreshed and clean after flossing, my mouth feels like it's full of waxy residue. Also, the floss isn't quite flat/ribbon shaped enough for the tight contacts between my teeth, so it can be difficult to get the floss down between some of my molars. It also shreds too easily. I recommend looking into Oral-B Satin floss or another ribbon floss that is less waxy.

Always purchase a waxed floss for ease of use with my crowns, although it's usually a store brand. I stock up on this only when it's on sale for a comparable price. While it's a good product, the quality isn't appreciably better than the generics and doesn't justify a premium price. Although dental floss is not an expensive product in general, I'm a frugal shopper and always like to watch the pennies. Flossing between crowns and around bridges tends to rip up any floss, and this one performs well in that area, with very minimal shredding. I like that the diameter is not too thick or thin, it doesn't tend to get stuck between the teeth or to saw into sensitive gums like some brands do, making them bleed. It's also not overly waxed and there's no noticeable residue left on the teeth. Overall, this is a great product, and I don't really have any complaints about it other than it being a bit pricier than other brands on the market.

One time I had to buy this product because I could not find the one I normally use (mint waxed). It was horrible and the taste was disgusting! There is obviously not a flavor, such as mint or cinnamon, but the "flavor" that is there leaves a bad after taste. (Luckily I use mouthwash afterwards.) Even though it is waxed it did not glide through my teeth like it should. It kind of felt "rough" and you really had to work with it. I undestand that some people may want to buy this because it is unflavored, but I felt like it does not work as well as the mint flavored one. I did use it up so it did not go to waste, but I make sure to always have the mint one on hand when I run out. I would hate to have to use this again. I felt like it did not work properly and that it was still leaving food behind. Plus, you can't find a large roll of this. I prefer to buy 80 feet at a time because it is cheaper and lasts longer. Your best bet is to go with the mint flavor. It tastes better and works better, too!

I am an avid user of dental floss, it gets in the nooks where food always ends up. I like Johnson and Johnson's Reach easy slide Mint waxed floss. The floss is so soft you dont even feel it slide between your teeth, It has a great minty taste, that leaves my mouth feeling refreshed.

The Johnson & Johnson REACH unflavored waxed floss is one of the things that I always carry around in my purse. It comes in handy especially after having meal with friends. I almost always found food stuck between my teeth and I always excuse myself to the restroom to fix the problem with this floss. What I like about this product is its quality. Even if you have used a string of floss for a long time (like sliding it between your teeth multiple times), it would still stay as one string. Since it is unflavored, you won't taste anything. It's safe to say that it wouldn't leave any funny taste in your mouth.  The only negative about this product is that it is kind of difficult to tell how much floss is left in the box. Since the opening is at the top and the box is not transparent, it is impossible to see how big the roll is. Although this is not a big problem as I often carry a spare box, it is certainly an improvement that the company should consider.
