My very allergic Shar-Pei has thrived on this product. It says discontinued on this site but I have no problem finding it at any grocery, discount or oet store. The lamb is especially easy on a hyper allergic system. Her coat is beautiful and she has maintained a healthy weight with no allergic reactions.

I have 2 little dogs we call the girls.  1 is a Pom and the other is a Boston Terrier.  The girls have such a sensitive stomach.  We have tried so many food to eliminate the gas and vomitting.  I was hesitant to try the Iams just because I didn't want to pay the extra.  However, after cleaning up messes all the time or ran out of the room due to the girls gas, I caved.  They don't run to the bowl when I set out the food.  But, it has cut out the problems we were having.  The girls do not have loose stool now since we have started feeding them Iams Lamb and Rice.  For the past year this is the only food that the girls are allowed to eat.

I switched my dog to this food after she was having consistent upset stomach issues with the regular "green bag" Iams.  Since then she has not had any more upset stomachs.  It is easy to digest and reasonably priced.  She gobbles it up everyday, so I guess she's a fan of the taste as well!

I have 2 y.o. english bulldog that needless to say comes with a heap of health issues. He's been on IAMS proactive since he was puppy. He went from the puppy to the large breed to the weight control and now the lamb and rice. The lamb and rice was suggested due to his severe doggy acne (large pimple looking areas on mouth and chin) and paw irritation (redness between toes with excessive licking), it seems to be doing the trick. Another great thing about the IAMS is most of their formulas are similar enough that we haven't had any trouble not weaning on and off different types (this often causes diarrhea from one brand to another) easy to put him on wt control for a few feedings if he starts getting a little too pudgy.

We have two very hyper active dogs. We have a 2 year old black lab and a 4 year old beagle. Unfortunately they both have problems. Our beagle would constantly vomit, and very often have bloody diarrhea. His vet bills were astronomical, but we were finally told he had an incredibly sensitive stomach. We put him on a food that we could only buy at the Vet's office. It was working great, but was killing us financially. We HAD to find a cheaper solution that would still keep our dog well. We found Iams ProActive Health Lamb Meal and Rice. I absolutely LOVE it. Our beagle has had no more issues with his intestines and stomach on this food, and he honeslty goes crazy for it. No more expensive vet food, and no more high vet bills. We later added a black lab to our family. We soon discovered that our Lab had skin allergies. His fur would fall out in chucks and he would scratch and scratch until his skin became raw & then scabby. His vet bills were expensive too, and he was put on his own specail food. Once again, it became expensive, an we needed a cheaper solution. Low and behold we tried him on the same Iams formula as our Beagle! Bingo! It worked. They are both on the same food and are doing great!! Iams ProActive Health Lamb Meal & Rice is THE ONLY food i will ever feed them again!!

My dog was a few years old when we switched to Iams Lamb and Rice formula dog food.  He was itching obsessively all over the house and when I took him to the veterinarian, they recommended switching him to a lamb and rice formula.  We took their suggestion and tried Iams for the first time.  It works wonders and almost immediately, he stopped scratching his skin.  The food he was on before was cheaper, but it was irritating his skin and I coudn't stand the constant scratching.  He seems to enjoy the food and definitely enjoys not having to scratch all the time.  I will never use any other kind of food for my dogs.  They offer a couple of different sizes at the store we shop at, which is nice to have a bit of a selection.  It is a bit more expensive than what we were paying, but it's totally worth it!  Thank you Iams!  Our family would definitely recommend to others out there with the same problem!
