Just keeps working!

By

from North Haven, CT

Comments about Helen of Troy Flat Iron:

I have had this flat iron for **years**.  I am on my second iron now, but my first one lasted probably 4 years and this last one is now going on 6 years old!  I have wavy/curly hair naturally, but not the kind that you can wear curly, so I opt to straighten it.  This flat iron has gotten the toughest of kinks out of my hair.  Myself and my two sisters all have our own and we've all had ours for years.  I'm not only impressed with how well it works, but how long it lasts for.  I do have to say that I now have to keep it on the highest setting to get it to really work powerfully now, but it is 6 years old, so I'll cut it some slack.  It was an affordable flat iron back when I bought it and the fact that I have been able to use it for so long has made it even more affordable.  Other people I know have switched over to ceramic flat irons, but I have stuck to my Helen of Troy - it works really well for me and has been so loyal to me!

It does the job.

By

from West Palm Beach, FL

Comments about Helen of Troy Flat Iron:

This is an acceptable flat iron.  It gets the job done, although not spectacularly.  I don't know if all flat irons do this, but it leaves the ends of your hair looking very flat and straight and I wish I could be more successful at using it to curl the bottom of my hair under more.  It heats up pretty fast.  It does not have an automatic shut off button, so you must be sure to remember to unplug it or turn it off.  It has been known to catch strands of my hair in its side and yank them out of my head.  It is very harsh on the hair and promotes split ends.  It certainly isn't one of the prettiest looking ones on the market, but it does its job.  The cost of this flat iron was very reasonable and I would put it in the lower end of the price range for flat irons.  I have not tried other flat irons for comparison, but it does not leave my hair looking shiny and I have seen that claim by other brands of flat irons.
