We had a Graco stroller for my first child ten years ago and only when we found out we were expecting our third last year did I decide that MAYBE we should get a new stroller. Our carseat was outdated too so we went with the Graco travel system. I've used other brands for various baby products with mixed results, but I have never been disappointed with Graco. The infant carrier and stroller look nice and are easy to use. We like snapping the carseat in and out of the car when the weather is bad or the baby is sleeping. Is fits nicely into the stroller which is lightweight and easy to fold up. I have to say the straps on the stroller are a little weird...different than most stroller straps/belts. But we haven't had any trouble with it and they seem to do their job.

The Graco Travel System was a gift item my husband and I had registered for when we were expecting our first child.  My sister owned one and I knew they were safe and reliable.  Also, I loved the pattern we found - adorable for use with either a boy or a girl!  However, had it not been a gift, I'm not sure we would have been able to afford the travel system, as it is rather pricey (for us, anyway!).

The infant carseat/carrier is wonderful!  With the carseat base, it is easy to remove the carseat from the car - taking all of about ten seconds to get her in and out of the car (if she is already buckled in).  Typically we kept the carseat in the house, buckled her in before we walked out the door then snapped her right in place before heading out.  If she fell asleep in the car, we could snap the carseat out, carry her into the house and leave her in the carrier (with our supervision, of course) until she awoke on her own - sometimes a half hour later!  Also, my parents have an extra carseat base (found at a thrift store, but also available for purchase at various on-line retailers), so we knew they could safely carry her around if necessary.

In addition, the clips that hold the seat into place also make it a cinch to use this carseat in shopping carts without the fear of it slipping off the front of the cart, it just snaps onto the seat rails.

The canopy on the seat is extremely useful for keeping the sun out of baby's eyes while we travel.  Altogether, the carseat is wonderful.  She is seven months old now and we're still using it (although it stays in the car these days, as she prefers to be carried).

The stroller, however, is another story.  There is nothing wrong with using it at all - it has a nice sized storage basket, the carseat snaps into place quite nicely when baby is still too small to sit in the stroller seat.  Once baby is big enough, the harness is easy to use, the tray folds up and down easily and baby is quite comfortable.

The problem lies in the fact that my husband and I only own one car - a compact car (Chevy Cavalier) which, while not having an extremely small trunk, does not have enough trunk space to transport this bulky stroller.  Thus, we have used it all of twice.  Once we were able to use my Sister-in-Law's jeep so we could take it with us to an amusement park (and it worked great there!).  Besides that, we can only use it for strolls around the neighborhood (again, it works fine for those jaunts, also).  Other than that, we've had to purchase an umbrella stroller to carry in the car - somewhat disappointing when we have to leave the Rolls Royce stroller at home.

The only other downside to the stroller is that it is not quite a one-handed job unfolding the stroller - not something that can be done while holding a baby, that's for sure.  And it can be a bit heavy when folded up.

To summarize the stroller, I think it would be WONDERFUL if we had a car large enough to transport it.  So if you're driving a minivan or an SUV, this would a great travel system to own.  If not, I believe Graco sells the snugride carseats by themselves, so it might be best to purchase the carseat and then a separate, more lightweight and less bulky stroller separately.

Super safe and stylish graco travel system

By

from Denton, TX

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

From the minute we put our son in this car seat I have felt that he is safe. The carseat is heavy duty and strong. It clicks into the base and into the stroller super easy. Even at 8 months old our son still fits in the carseat comfortably with few adjustments. While the carseat is rather heavy, I do feel like it is safe for the baby once he is in it. It becomes a little difficult to carry him around in after awhile, but then we just left it in the car at all times. The stroller is very good quality too. It handles great and is very sturdy. Not one of those blow away in the wind kind of strollers. I love being able to snap the carseat into it while my son is small and the prospect of sitting him up in it for many years to come. All of the cupr holders and compartments are great too. Another great feature is how easy it all is to clean. My son had reflux and spit up all over his carseat many times and I just had to wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Graco Elyse travel system great with a new baby

By

from Odenton, MD

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

I love my Graco Elyse Stylus Travel System!  I received this travel system as a gift when I was pregnant with my daughter and am so glad I did.

One of my favorite features is the one hand open and close on the stroller.  With a new baby this makes life really easy when going for walks, to the mall, or just out and about.  I like not hving to worry about latches and buttons.  This also makes the stroller really easy to store in my apartment.

The carseat is comfortable and safe for my daughter.  It came with a head support which was terrific before she could hold her head up on her own.  The seat also fits snugly in the backseat of my car and was easy to install with the LATCH system.

I also found that the stroller is lighter than I imagined it would be.  It is very easy to get in and out of the trunk of my car even though I found many people complaining of the weight of travel system strollers.

I would recommend this travel system to anyone having a baby!

Graco is a trustworthy brand

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

This is a really good quality travel system. It is not one of the most expensive brands but yet you can expect great quality. The stroller that is with this car seat is great for many reasons. I love how easy it is to fold up and unfold it out back again. You can truly do it with one free hand. The storage bin is very large also. I like the parent console aslo. Has two big cup holders and a nice closable compartment to keep your keys handy. it is also very easy to stear. The car seat is equaly as nice. I think that the handle is positioned perfectly for comforatble carrying. My son seems to always be comfotable and secure. The straps are easy to adjust as the baby grows. Putting the car seat in and out of the car was alwayy a smoothe transaction. I used an evenflo from my sister and it was a struggle to hget in and out of car. Also the clasps to starp your baby in the seat are very easy. specially compared to the saftey first kind.

Absolutely Love this stoller!!!

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

Absolutely Love this stroller!!!  A friend bought this for us for our baby shower.  My son fit perfectly in the infant carrier.  It was much easier than other seats to adjust the seatbelt straps.  The stroller itself is a lifesaver.  The handle is adjustable for different heights which is a must for my 6'2" husband.  The tray detaches on one side for easy access to your little one.  One awesome feature is that the seat turns into a carriage feature for very little ones without the infant carrier.  The seat adjusts to three levels, one being almost completely flat, one slightly laid back and the third into a sitting position.  Large basket underneath for lots of storage which comes in real handy with three boys!!  The front wheels can turn or lock into place for a straight ride, great for long jogs on a straight path.  It has a great brake feature that it located on the bar in between the two rear wheels.  It is easily engaged and disengaged with just one foot!!  Can not say enough good things about this stroller!!  Absolutely a must!!!

it is an excellent product- the elyse collection

By

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

I liked the Elyse Collection travel system product a lot because it comfort the size of my premature baby and I like the style it was made, its durable and the material doesn't get dirty as fast, it was a decent price for me because if you estimate the price in buying car seat and stroller it kinda sums up a little more than you will spend on the travel system, I loved the colors that it has because its not just a solid color pink or blue, I bought the whole elyse collection! thats how much I loved it !!!! they have the travel system which has ( car seat and stroller) and they have the playard also they have the swing  which I have all of them. The colors are green, pink, blue, brown polk a dots with a chocolate brown its a really nice color! I like to stick to the similiar matching colors because I like it to look nice and coordinated and similiar, not mismatched, I just think it looks nice and complete that way!

I would highly recommend the Graco Stylus System!

By

from Roaring Spring, PA

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

We received the Graco Stylus Travel System as a gift, and we have had no problems with it whatsoever!  It is very easy to use, and the safety puts our minds at ease.  We trust the brand Graco.  The system grows with your child, to a certain point, which saves money in the long run!  Instead of purchasing a new car seat for each stage of their development, you can have a seat that is capable of holding more weight.  Graco takes safety very seriously, and it shows in their products.  They use quailty materials to ensure that your child will be safe in their "handiwork/hands."  We have purchased other brands for our other child, and would never go back to them.  The quality of the Graco products is fantastic.  We have stuck with the Graco name with all our baby needs, including highchair, booster seat, and baby swing. There are also several different styles to chose from to match the gender of your child.

Fantastic Stroller/Car seat

By

from Corona Del Mar, CA

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

The Graco Stylus Travel System has been a fantastic buy for my family! My wife received this stroller for her baby shower, and some people were telling us that this is a larger stroller and it bothered them. We have found nothing wrong with having a little bit bigger of a stroller. I actually like it better than all the other's I've seen! It has a great nice big wheel base, which for a man is needed! When I'm walking and pushing the stroller my feet aren't hitting the wheels. The handle bar is also nice a tall so that I don't feel as though I'm hunching over to push it. I like all the accessories as well. There is a lot of space, drink holders and the underneath storage is nice a big. We can easily put the diaper bag on the handle bars and it doesn't get in the way at all. I really like how easy the car seat is to take in and out of not only the car, but the stroller. Overall this stroller has been 5 stars for us!

Wonderful strolller - folds small, manuevers great, hardy

By

from Salt Lake City, UT

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

I have had this stroller for 2 years and absolutely love it.  The handles are tall and make it comfortable to walk with (no bending over).  It folds sort of like an umbrella stroller, so it's small and convenient.  It is unlike an umbrella stroller in that it has a good amount of storage, is comfortable and reclines nicely, has a moveable bar to keep the child in, has a nice cup holder and is very sturdy.  It is very easy to manuever and works wonderfully with the carseat.  I used it when my son was a newborn and am still using it today now that he is 2.  I love the five-point harness and that I can use it as a three-point harness too if I'm feeling lazy.  It's also a very attractive stroller - I've gotten many compliments.

The Graco travel system is a nice, basic car seat/stroller combo

By

from Folsom, CA

Comments about Graco Travel System Stroller:

I have found the Graco travel system to be a very handy piece of baby gear.  The snug ride car seat is great for an infant seat - a top rated car seat - and is easy to install and use.  The travel system comes with one base for the car seat but a second one can easily be purchased for a second car (many are even being sold on craigslist or at garage sales).  The car seat fits easily into the stroller and there are shades that can be drawn over the baby in rainy weather or if you simply want some privacy for your baby.  We go for many walks around our neighborhood so having the stroller has been wonderful.  It is a full size with plenty of storage space, cup holders, and a little bit bulky.  My toddler does not use the infant seat anymore although we still use the stroller.  My one complaint is that the stroller seat angle adjustment isn't that great.  The straightest you can get the back of the seat is about a 30 degree incline and most babies like to sit straight up when they are learning to sit.  I don't think it goes all the way flat either if your baby likes to sleep lying flat in the stroller.  Mine doesn't so that part hasn't been an issue.  Overall, we've definitely used this travel system a lot and have certainly gotten our money's worth.
