Cuts down on the grease big time! Great for dieting!

5

I have had my George Foreman GR10ATMR Indoor Grill for years now and it's still going strong. So many great things about this grill that I don't know how I survived without it before it came out! It really grills chicken, burgers and steaks the best. It amazes me still, how much grease drips down into the catch pan per each use. It really helped me loose weight by cutting down on those greasy calories and fat. The food tastes just as great if not better than it did with all that grease. The non stick material is amazing and it is still holding up well on mine. Cleaning is pretty easy as long as the grill is still pretty hot which can get tedious when you use it as much as I do. That's the only reason I rated it a 9 instead of a 10. I think it's about time for an upgrade because I heard the newer models are even easier to clean. Performance Cooks evenly, and in a decent amount of time. Grills so many different foods and I love the little recipe booklet that comes along with it. Durability As mentioned in my overall rating, I've had this same grill for years now and it works as well as it did the day I bought it. It still has the non stick material on it, opens and closes just fine and heats up fast and cools down fast. I have never had to have anything replaced on it or had to return it due to broken parts. Very durable. Ease of Cleaning It's not hard to clean really, just tedious to clean over and over again when you use it as much as I do. You do have to make sure its pretty hot to get it perfectly clean because once it cools off at the slightest, the little scraper tool doesn't work anymore and even with it being hot still, the scraper doesn't do as well as it claims it should. I pretty much have to wash it the same way I would wash a regular pan and that is hard to do with a grill that looks like and operates like a clam. It can be frustrating and is the only thing I dislike about this grill. Ease of Use Easy to store and easy to use. Since cleaning comes somewhat under the lines of use, I rated this section a 9. As far as how easy it functions; no complaints. You plug it in, wait a small amount of time for it to reach the desired temp, throw your ingredients on the grill and shut the lid. The instructions clearly tell you when you need to push down on the grill lid for certain foods and when you can just leave it sit the way it is. Sometimes you open it up, flip the food and shut the lid again. It all but tells you when its done so that's convenient too. Definitely easier than using an outdoor grill and it can be raining buckets or be blizzard like conditions outside but I'm still inside grilling away!

George Foreman Indoor Grills aren't just for meat eaters!

I love my George Foreman Indoor Grill and I am a vegetarian! It may come as a surprise to many but the George Foreman Indoor Grill is quite versatile. While the infomercials and websites tout the benefits of using the grill for meat, it also does an amazing job on vegetables and as a mini panini press. I've used mine to make everything from veggie kabobs for a small football watching party to grilled cheese sandwiches on a cold winter's night. I love that my veggies have char marks and are cooked all the way through. It gives the vegetables a different texture and taste. I also frequently use my George Foreman Indoor Grill as a make-shift toaster. Grilled cheese, faux tuna melts, mini pizzas (whole wheat bread, pizza sauce, and cheese), and many more sandwiches and mock pan inis have been made by my George Foreman Indoor Grill. My sandwiches end up with those nice visual grill marks and my bread is evenly toasted. The grill especially helps with sandwiches when I use cheese. The cheese reaches this beautiful melting point without drying out or burning. If you're a college student, a single person, or a couple, the George Foreman Indoor Grill is the perfect size to make most meals. It is also a great buy. You can easily replace the need to buy a toaster oven and a toaster with this nifty little grill. The only drawback to the George Foreman Indoor Grill is clean up. It's not perfect because you can't submerge the machine in water. The trickiest part about cleaning the machine is when you have used a sauce or a marinade. Sugars tend to stick to the machine and make it harder to clean up. Fried cheese, bread crumbs, etc are fairly easy to clean with a sponge. Overall, this is a great buy for anyone living in an apartment or for anyone who needs to furnish an in-law, apartment rental with kitchen equipment.

Outstanding grill for in the winter when you can't get outside.

This grill is used most of the winter. When we can't grill outside the George comes out. It cooks the meat evenly and very quickly. Always tender and flavorful. Not the easiest to clean up, but well worth the grilled tastes. Makes the meat healthier in my opinion. Grease is separated just like on a outdoor grill. Love it. Performance Nice performance. Cooks meat evenly. Comes out tender and flavorful. Easy to use. Put your meat on, season it, close the lid and let it cook. Durability We have had ours a few years now and looks as good as new. So I would say the durability is great. Ease of Cleaning Wish there was an easier way to clean it. Some grease gets on the back side. Not able to immerse in water so it is a wipe off clean up. Needs soap and hot water to get the grease off. All in all not so bad that we would not use it. Ease of Use Simple, simple, simple. Get your meat or veggies ready, season to your liking, put on grill, close and you are in for a great treat. Only a few minutes needed because it cooks from top and bottom. Super easy.

Great for indoor grilling!

I bought my George foreman when I moved into my first apartment so I wouldn't have to give up the joys of grilled food. I bought it at target and grilled chicken on it as my first George foreman grilling experience. It came out great and only took 5-7 minutes to completely cook the whole way through! Now I always keep chicken marinating in the refrigerator so when I get home all I have to do is pull out the grill and pop on the chicken. It heats up really quickly and is ready to use almost as soon as plugged in. I have recently started turning my sandwiches into paninis by placing them in the George foreman for a couple of minutes and they turn out just as good as any panini I have bought at a restaurant. It is also a nice size that doesn't take up much room and is easily stored. Durability It is pretty durable, but recently the top and bottom have becoming loose. Ease of Cleaning This is probably the worst part of using the George foreman, cleaning it. Although much easier to clean than a regular grill, you have to clean it right after use or the meat juice will stick to the grill and be really hard to clean off later. I usually squeeze water from a sponge while it is still plugged in and let is steam as it is cooling down and then whips it down with a paper towel later.

Great! i love how easy it is to use.

I make chicken on this all the time! It's a bit messy, but it works great. Just put some chicken on and add some johnny seasoning. Works quickly and efficiently and chicken tastes good with noodles. It's my go to meal. I love it. I've never made anything else on it before, but I think it would be good to grill lots of stuff. Because it's indoor, it is a bit small, so it's best for cooking for just one person or two people. It is the best (well... only) indoor grill I've ever used and I love it. Performance It works great, has never broken ( after many years of owning it) and it cooks good food. Durability It's lasted many years and never breaks. Nothing on it is even scratched. Ease of Cleaning It is messy to make chicken on, but still very very easy to clean. The panels come out and you wash them seperatly. Ease of Use Very easy. You set the temperature and a few other things, and then you turn it on, wait for it to heat up, then you are ready to go! It's great and worth the preheat wait time.

Fine Indoor Grilling

4

The grill that I have came in silver. It overall pretty small which in my case, a good thing. It is convenient because I can just hide it away when I am done using it. The grilling is very good. I can fit one actual steak on the grill or other meat product. My only complaint is that the grill builds up dirt rather quickly, otherwise it is a very good grill. Ease of Cleaning The cleaning is a problem

Easy and convenient to use.

I love this little grill. It is super easy to use, and a real time saver. I'm not a great cook, but I can use this and the meat come out pretty danged good. Clean up is easy as well. It is perfect for you if you have a busy schedule or if you don't really like to cook. When I first got this little grill, to be honest I wasn't expecting much. But now it is practically a necessity to me. All in all, a great little product. I do recommend it..

Perfect size for a young couple or single person

I love the way the grill cooks both sides at once. I was using a regular indoor grill that only cooked one side of the meat at one time. I decided to get the smaller George Foreman grill because I did not want to put our a lot of money not knowing if I would use it much. Since I have been using this grill I have been cooking at home more because it cooks faster by cooking both sides at once. That may not seem like much but it could be a five minute time savings or more depending on the size of the meat. I would give this a five but for me I think it is too small and I did not want some one to not really read the review and just see the 5 rating and buy it. If you are single or maybe a young couple with out kids then the smaller size should be fine. If you are a family of more than 2 than definitely go for a larger size. I will probably soon do research to upgrade to a larger model may be one with the changeable plates to give more versatility and get more for my money. The George Foreman grills are made well and will last long. The cleaning with this model is a little harder so make sure you clean it right away so the food does not get stuck on there. This is another reason why I am going to look to upgrade to the larger on that has removable plates so it will clean easier. Performance This grill cooks well and much faster with the 2 sided cooking plates. The clean up can be a bit more difficult because of the design. Durability This grill is well built and very sturdy. Ease of Cleaning You need to make sure you clean this right away to make sure the food does not get really stuck on.

cooking for 1 and small meals = great!!

If you are looking for an indoor grill and want to cook small meals for maybe 1 or 2 people than I would say you are safe with the George Foreman. It leaves excellent grill marks on the meats or veggies and it gives a just off the grill taste. I like the fact that this includes the grease trap, because it is necessary for the grease to drain and this makes for easy clean up. This keeps the grease off the food also which also provides a healthier finished product. I did not have any problems with meats not cooking thoroughly or burning on the outside. This is even great for grilling veggies. This makes a quick meal with the thin cut chicken breasts, tenders, or the thin pork chops, 10 minutes and done...maybe even less. It was easy to clean also, nothing stuck to it, literally nothing stuck to it. Super great product and they keep making it better and better! Performance Very great option for grilling indoors Durability I have not experienced any scratching of the metal or any other defects, just do not use meta spatulas or forks or knives on the grill surface. Ease of Cleaning Nothing sticks to the grill and it is easy to clean. Ease of Use You really don't need to go to culinary school for this product, just plugged it in, once it is heated throw on your dinner and within 10-15 minutes dinner is ready! No need to stand outside and fire up the grill, wait 20 minutes, then put the food on and stand over it to make sure it doesn't burn, then wait for the grill to cool down, clean the grates, cover the grill, etc..

I love this grill!

I have owned four George Foreman grills, and this one was my all time favorite. It heated up faster than any of the others, cooked hotter, and provided a much more even cooking surface than the larger ones. I used this grill daily for about two years, then decreased to a few times a week for another year. The only reason I don't still have this grill is that it is too small to cook enough food for my growing family. It is a perfect grill for one or two people. I could make a meat on one side and a veggie on the other with no problem. It is super easy to clean doesn't put of a smell (other than the small of what you're cooking). Some of the newer George Forman's seem to steam the food instead of being grilled crispy on the outside, and cooked on the inside, and I never had this problem with this grill. I wish that this grill was still practical for me, I would go out and buy another one tomorrow!
