GE dishwasher

4

I would rate this GE dishwasher overall as a 4. It has a pretty stainless steel finish and a handle that is strectched across the whole dishwasher. The inside of the dishwasher is also stainless steel. I purchased mine at a PC Richards about a year ago and it still works fine. The only thing that I would say is bad about this dishwasher is the akward wire rack inside that holds the dishes. There is no specified place for bowls and you have to fit them in where they sit awkardly. they should make a designated space for bowls like my old dishwasher had. My other complaint is that it sometimes doesnt clean as well as it should. Some dishes come out with food stuck on them but i cant complain because this doesnt happen all the time. Noise Level The noise level is fairly low for a dishwasher. It is very low and it beeps when it is done cleaning. Cleaning Time The cleaning time is about 40 minutes. Loading Flexibility The loading flexibility isnt that great because it seems that there is no space for bowls. Performance It has an overall great performance. Design The design is very pretty and modern. Durability It is durable.

Great Value

My husband and I bought this dishwasher over a year ago and it's been great! Our last dishwasher was so noisy that our main thing we were looking for in a new one, is that it would be quiet enought to run AND watch TV at the same time. The racks are great size, and we can fit a ton of stuff in there. The silverware compartment is great as well. It holds plenty of silverware including the normal forks and spoons along with abnormal untensils like bigger spatulas, pizza cutters, knives, and measuring spoons. We got our dishwasher in black and we love the sleekness of it. It comes with a delayed option that is a 4 hour delay. It's great to use that if you it is full and you want the option of starting it at a later time, but you don't want to forget to start it. It has a santize option, high water temp option, and many many more cool and helpful options. After owning it for as long as we have, it still runs like new. This is a great dishwasher!

My GE Dishwasher is my friend

I have never had a dishwasher that didn't leave a little food stuck to plates if not rinsed well enough. Nor have I had the experience of being able to put all the glasses away because of that 'sandy' stuff that washes up from the bottom rack into the upside-down glasses. Now, I have the best, most efficient dishwasher I have ever owned. This GE has water squirting from every direction to clean all the dishes... I mean ALL the dishes. Even when I have put two many pieces of silverware in the holder, I haven't had globs of food stuck to the forks or to spoons that were stuck together. Where has this dishwasher been all these years???? I am so excited to have a power-booster button along with the pot-scrubber. I can leave the dishes in this thing for 2 days and finish loading it up, start it up and voila... sparkling clean. And, the holes in the bottom are large enough to wash away bits of food down the drain, not leave them in the dishwasher to become smelly. There aren't even any surfaces for food to hide in or behind or under. I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It works for our needs but doesn't hold a lot

I bought the GE GDWT160R10SS from a major appliance & home improvement store for what was listed as a great sale price just a short couple of months ago and while it suits our purpose and has what we wanted, it could be better.  For one thing, it does not appear to be sold by any well known appliance dealers just a couple of months after I bought it (and it wasn't cheap!).  Which makes me wonder... Also, the baskets are set up sort of strangely laid out, so that while I can get one day's worth of dishes in there, that's about all it can hold.  And that is assuming I didn't do a lot of home cooking all day.  In which case, I have to do two loads, one for the dishes, one for the pots and pans. The optional utensil holder we got holds many utensils but I notice there is *always* a knife blade or a spoon handle that didn't get clean. The interior is stainless steel which was one of it's selling points.  The outside panel looks nice but we had to cut about one half inch off the counter to be able to reach the integrated button panel. In short, it works for what we needed and I am still very happy with it especially compared with handwashing but I think GE knows it needs a couple of improvements.
