We did a lot of research before purchasing a refrigerator. We decided on the Frigidaire Gallery FGHN2844LF for the French doors and lack of ice dispenser in the door. So far we haven't had any major problems. My only complaints are fairly minor. One, the meat/cheese drawer support on our fridge sticks on one side, which just means the side of the bin is unsupported when it is open. Two, you can only open the left produce bin with both doors open. The right produce bin can be opened with only the right door open. Three, we had some trouble with the door ajar sensor going off even when the fridge was shut. It resolved itself but the alarm is somewhat obnoxious, which is good when you accidentally leave the fridge door open! If the freezer gets too warm the alarm will sound as well, but not until the things on top are starting to defrost. It does not have a door ajar alarm for the freezer. Lastly, sometimes ice falls out of the ice bin and gets behind the freezer storage drawers. You have to open the freezer completely to fish the ice out or you can't close the door. Minor inconvenience. Everything else we love about the fridge. It is easy to adjust the shelves and there is very little wasted space, with no space used in the fridge for an ice maker. You can fit four frozen pizzas in the space between the upper drawers and the door of the freezer (two on each side), so don't waste your time on models that have the fancy "pizza doors." As of writing this review, we have had our fridge for a year and a half and it is still like new. Noise Level Very quiet unless the door ajar or temp alarms are going off! Interior Organization Shelves are easy to move to suit your needs, both inside and on the doors. Produce bins and meat/cheese bins are roomy and in places that make sense. The freezer has a sliding upper shelf that includes the ice maker bucket. The bottom has a removable divider so you can turn it into one big bin or leave it as two. Temperature Control Super easy to control the temp and both freezer and fridge temps are displayed on the side of the door. Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean. All shelves and bins in the fridge are removable and clean easily. I haven't had to use more than a bit of mild dish detergent to get anything off. Durability The bins are plastic and the shelves glass. The glass has scratched a bit but everything still functions perfectly except the sliding support for the meat/cheese bin (which has never worked 100% properly). The freezer bins are coated wire and seem very tough. Design The fridge is nice looking, nothing special. You can get it in black, white, or stainless. We have the white model.
