Flip Video Camcorder Reviews

Based on the positive reviews in the press and on Viewpoints I bought a Flip Video Camera this weekend at Best Buy.  I purchased the newer model that is smaller and rechargeable. The hall mark of the Flip is that it is incredibly easy to use.  Within minutes of taking it out of the box I was creating shooting fun simple videos of my kids.  It is so simple that my young kids two of whom are 9 and 7 figured it out instantly.

My husband gave me the challenge of choosing a sweet 16 birthday gift for his daughter.  I myself was interested in purchasing a Flip Ultra video camera to carry in my purse to catch video of fun times with family.  I loved the small, portable design and the trendy colors.  I loved that it uses 2 double A batteries instead of a rechargable battery.  I also appreciate the USB arm that flips out of the side for easy connection to my computer.  I use a Mac and have no problems creating great quality video in Imovie.  The picture quality is stunning, I have an old analog video camera and it does'nt...

The FLIP Ulta video is awesome!  I bought a set to use in my library and for technology club . There are so many other uses.  They are so easy to use , just point and shoot. Downloading to your compter top is so easy, I have kids doing it.  I chose the black one, but they come in pink, green, orange.

The FLIP can be used with both MACs and PCS. This makes it unique.You can hook the camera to the TV , make movies on your computer, and share!!!!

The Flip Video is great because you can carry it anywhere.  I've been carrying mine around my purse and capturing random video of my kids.  I love it because of it's side, it's built-in memory, built-in USB adaptor, and that fact that it's idiot proof.

The only thing that I don't love is that you can't add more memory.  My only record 30 minutes at a time.

I bought this item thinking "I'll use it all the time."  I've thought this before about other products and then they end up deep in my closet somewhere.  Surprisingly enough, I AM using my Flip Ultra a lot.  It is light and portable so I keep it in my purse with me all the time just in case a cute moment comes up.  The on-board software makes making movies and transferring them to DVD or online a breeze.  There is no light on the camera, but so far I have not found that to be a problem.  It only has 2x zoom, so shooting from across the room can be a bit difficult if you want close-up shots. ...

I bought the Flip for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas since she wanted a video camera. She loves the fact that she has her own, and I love the idea that I can keep it in my purse and we can have it with us always. it is rare to find one that is compatible with IBM and Apple with ease in both places. No downsides to this!

The flip is wonderful.....I got it for a christmas present this past year and I love it.  It is easy to use, easy to place videos on computer, and very easy to carry with you.  It is small enough to carry in your purse.....No matter where you go you can have it with you....Never miss another funny video!!
