Fisher Price Power Plus Swing Review Summary

Designed with a cute bear design, the Fisher Price Power Plus Baby Swing disappoints more than it pleases. What is great about the Power Plus Baby Swing? Fisher Price has loaded the Power Plus swing with decent soothing music and most importantly it can be used in either battery mode or A/C mode. The idea of a plug-in baby swing sounds great to parents who hate changing batteries. One reviewing mom joyfully exclaims “no more batteries!”. Unfortunately the Fisher Price Power Plus Swing doesn‘t deliver for many. Disappointed reviewers note that “the six different speeds are a lie.“ Many reviewers also state that the motor just gave out even before baby was near the maximum weight limit. I love this swing, it is exactly what I was looking for. The seat has three positions, that means that it will sit upright when the baby is a little older instead of always being in a reclined position like a papasan swing. The fabric is adorable and girly, the seat looks soft and comfy. There are pockets...

We were so excited to find a swing that actually plugs in so that we could save a lot of money not buying batteries. It was super cute, and my son LOVED swinging in it. However, the first disappointment was that even though there were supposed to be 6 different speeds, there was very little difference... read full review »

When I was registering for my baby shower I was overwhelmed by all the products out there. My mother had told me I loved the swing when I was a baby so I knew I had to get one for my daughter. When you walk into a store though there are so many to choose from. I read over a lot of product descriptions but eventually decided on the  Fisher Price Power Plus Swing.

One of the best features of the Power Plus Swing is that you can put it almost anywhere because it's battery operated.  Not only does it run on batteries but you can also plug it in. So basically if you're not around an outlet and also...

The Fisher Price Power Plus Swing has been the best investment so far with a new baby in the home.  With my daughter, I had a different swing(it's long gone).  With a new granddaughter in the home, trying to be very practical has been a serious issue.  I spotted this swing on eBay.  It has the unique feature of being able to be plugged in(in addition to using 4 D batteries like most others) to save on having to buy batteries all the time.  It has multiple speeds, music, lights.  It also has a few different positions(I don't recall exactly how many).  It's not a very bulky swing either, so...

I have had seven children, and with the oldest being twelve and then youngest 8 months I know what baby products I like and what I don't like.  This swing is a product I love.  We just bought it for our 7th child.  I have had two other baby swings in the past.  One was windup.  Not something you want, because the swing winds down and then you have to wind it up to keep it going.  The wind up was never a quiet thing and if baby was just starting to go to sleep, forget it.  The second swing was a battery operated swing.  This was a HUGE plus because of it being quiet, but do you know how... read full review »

I miss the old baby swings that didn't need batteries to operate. I was so excited when I found this one! So excited.... until I used it. The swing slows to a stop and the motor gos click click click. My baby was not even a month old and the swing could not even swing her. This swing was a complete waste of money & pretty much an 87 dollar infant seat with good music. I contacted Fisher Price and they sent out a new motor. It was difficult to remove the whole motor side from the swing due to the one way clips. After all that it still NEVER WORKED PROPERLY! It was beyond frustrating and I was...

This swing to put it blunty is bulky and looks really cheap. All the photos make it look nicely made but when put togeather(also rediculously difficult!!!} it looked as if I bought it at a bargan store. Our baby fusses constantly in it. The music  volume is not too different really. And the 6 different speeds are a lie. There are maybe two speeds really high and low. Also we had to have it exchanged twice because it wore out. It says machine washable but the fabric fades at a rediculoous amount. Also 25 lbs my foot! When my daughter weighed 15 lbs that swings speed started to wear down. After... read full review »

This is such a cool swing.  If you're not near an outlet, you switch it to battery mode, if you are close to an outlet, you put it on AC mode!  It's very nice looking, has pockets on both sides of the swing and has several different options.  My 8 wk old girl has been enjoying it since her 3rd week!  We finally got brave enough to try it, and we don't regret it!  She loves it!  It even has a mobil with bears hanging from it that she loves staring at.  And the mobile also flips back so you can put the child in easily.  Very good buy!

Also, the music isn't annoying at all!

This swing claims to have six speeds, but I don't really notice a difference between them. My daughter likes the hanging toys, and it is nice that the music does play in two volumes. My daughter is in this swing daily and it shows no sign of slowing down or wearing out. We save so much money by not needing batteries! It is not showy, but it works great. I also put it together myself when I was very pregnant, so assembly was easy.

This swing was one of the best things we bought for our son.  It doesn't require batteries and he loved to nap in it!
