Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing Reviews

I loved this swing! This swing was a god send for me.  The swing comes with 2 positions for the seat, slightly sitting and fully reclined plus it swings in 2 different directions!  Being a mom to 3 little girls this swing came in handy.  I did not have the pleasure of having this swing for my first child but I did have it for my other 2.  —  It was great!  Depending on my daughter's mood I could change the way she was swinging.  The music was a great touch and it has multiple speeds so you can get a good rhythm going for your little one.  — As with any swing… read full review »

We bought this swing secondhand, in great condition. Our baby girl loves it. She loves to watch the birds flutter up and down and it's great for getting her to sleep when nothing else will. The nuetral colors of this swing make it great to fit a variety of Decor. One problem with thi swong is though it was advertise as having six speeds it really only has six clicks on the dial, they all go the same speed. When she was a newborn it swung very very fast. Two of my best girlfriends got my husband and I this papasan for my baby shower. I never thought we would need something this sophisticated. Let me tell you. My baby boy slept in his papasan for at least the first 3 months. He loved this thing. It's a comfortable, easy place to put your little one while your trying to accomplish every day chores. I registered for this swing and recieved it as a shower gift from my mil.  I was so excited the first time I got to use it, it my my bouncy and I thought I made the right decision, boy was I wrong.  After about a week of normal use it was dead.  I tried switching batteries twice and it never worked.  Finally, I took it back and exchanged it.  When I got it home it died as well after a week.  This time it was the batteries, then the batteries and again the batteries.  I was having to change batteries at least once I week.  My son fit nicely in it at… read full review »

I first bought the Graco Winnie the Pooh front/back motion swing. My son was not very into it. At 3 months he finally went to sleep in it, but just for 30 minutes or so. — My mom wanted a swing for her house, and I said I wish I had bought one that did front/back and side to side motion. I got this swing. He LOVES it. Fell right to sleep the first time I put him in it. I was MUCH easier to put together. (I had to call tech support 2x for the Pooh swing). I bought this swing for my baby when he was 2 months old, but wish I would have had it from when he was first born.  The seat is very soft and comfortable.  It was so nice that it swung either side to side or front to back.  The side to side was nice for when he was small.  When I had trouble getting him to take a nap, this swing was great for putting him to sleep.  Sometimes it was the only thing that comforted him.  The only complaint I have is that the slowest speed was kind of fast.  It would have been nice to have a slower speed at times.  But,… read full review »

The fisher price swing is beautiful. My son has been blessed with 3 swings. One at each grandparent's house and one at home. We have two of the F.P. Baby Papsan Cradle Swings identical and one of the older F.P. cradel swing models with the Aquarium. They are easy to place a baby in from newborn to 5 month old (the age of my son). I thought that he would only be in this swing as a newborn, but 5 months later he loves to take his morning nap in it. He loves looking at himself in the mirror which is on the underside. We actually bought this swing at a yard sale for $20 brand new! WOW! This swing was awesome! Our son would take naps in it and be out for hours! He loved the mirror up top and the little animals that "floated" around it. I gave the swing to my sister in law for my neice and when ever we go over there my son just crawls right over to it and tries to get in. He's alittle too big for it now, but we let him hang out in it on occasion. I loved this swing!  I was so relieved when my hard to put to sleep son would actually go to and stay asleep!  It gave me time to get things around the house done and he was happy too.  I love the mirror, bugs and tray, itseemed whenever he was getting old with one feature he grew old enough to notice another.  The speeds and different placement options were great too, my son went one way and his cousin only prefered the other, so both could be happy with one product.  We had no problems with overuse of batteries or motors, we used it almost everyday and it is still… read full review »

Made the mistake of sticking with the traditional swing (foward swinging) with our second even after our first never took to it.  Our second didn't either and in fact because of the seat positioning, she could practically rock her self out of it!  The papasan cradle swing cradles a newborn much better and our third (seems to) love it as much as we do.  Friends have told me they are still getting great use out of this swing for their now eight month old twins (they have two of these swings), so we are looking forward to getting several more months of use… read full review »

This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone. I've had a few other swings and this was the most durable and versatile. It costs a bit more than most of the other ones, but it is worth it since it is such a "lifesaver." — — One thing that makes this one better than others is how much softer the material is on the baby's skin.
