I have had the Fisher-Price Baby Papasan swing for 3 years. I used it with my first child, she loved it, and I'm now using it with baby number two. This is the only place my baby will nap. It's so comfy and the rocking motion is soothing. During the day if I need to set him down for a mintute I always put in the swing and he is happy and content listening to the music or watching the mobile. Sometime if I take him out, he will start fussing, as if he is upset that I took him out! It's so comforting to him. One thing that I dislike, however, is that it makes this really annoying clicking sound when swinging back and forth. Of course it doesn't seem to bother baby, but when he is down for a two hour nap, it just about drives me nuts! It's hard to even be in the same room after a while. The clicking is pretty loud. Another downside is that you have to change the batteries often, which can get expensive. But overall this swing is a must have for babies, and definitely worth the money.

Clever, Versatile Swing

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I purchased the Nature's Touch Papasan Cradle Fisher Price and am now using it on my second child.  I like that you can adjust it so that it swings the baby side-to-side or front-to-back and it does it very easily.  It has a super-cozy seat that my current baby likes as he is a real snugler.  The swing comes with an activity bar that you can lay across it, but I've never found my children to use it much.  It takes up a fair amount of space when it is just lying around, not installed on the swing.  The swing has several different speed settings, as well as music or nature sound.  Not the greatest quality of music/sounds.  Above the swing is a mirror with a r...

I wish they made one adult sized!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is the swing I've used with my 2 youngest babies, and it is like a dream. My older son used it until he was just too big for it, and my newborn adores it. I love how it gives me the freedom to play with my other kids while keeping my little one content.

The function that allows you to turn it from side to side to back and forth is really nice as well. It turn easily, helps the swing to fit well in different spaces, and allows variety for the little ones. Additionally, the batteries aren't wasted, they actually last a pretty long time - when the little guy had some chest congestion with a cold recently, we allowed him to be in it while he slept (with our Dr's OK) and it was running for most of the day and night...I still haven't changed the batteries since then.

Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing is the BOMB!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing is the BOMB!!  I love it and would highly recommend it to friends and strangers in the store (and I had done that).  It is a bit pricey for a swing but works amazing.  I found that though my kids did not like to swing front to back they loved to swing side to side, which makes complete sense, since that is how you rock a baby right?  The quality of the product is great and I did not feel it used batteries too fast.  I loved the softness of the seat, I wanted to crawl right in there and snuggle up and be rocked to sleep myself from the moment I saw it.  Our babysitter used a different style swing for our daughter and she hated it, but loved her swing at home.  There are many different option on the motor, from music, to swing speed etc..  I also found that when I struggled to get my son to sleep I could put him in there and he was asleep instantly.  Highly recommend this to others!!

Worked well for me

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I first had one of these swings in '08 when my daughter was born. She never liked any baby contraptions, but she did fall sleep in it a couple of times. It wasn't the swing's fault that she didn't like it. She was just a colicky baby who didn't like much of anything. So I sold the swing. I recently bought another one (used) to use with the baby boy I babysit, and for baby #2 that I am expecting in April. My babysitting charge loved this swing. He slept in it every day for his naps until he got to big for it and it would barely swing anymore. He is a very big baby, so he reached that point around 4 months or so. But while he was using it, he loved the motion, the sounds, and the mobile. I am hoping my second baby is happier in the swing than my first was. I would highly recommend this swing to anyone who is looking for something affordable, but not too extremely basic. Having 2 options for swinging motion is nice. Yes, the thing is kind of bulky, but what baby gear isn't?

Good swing, not so long life.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I recieved this as a gift for my first child not too long ago and we both love it!! The two different ways of motions is great! Sometimes she will get bored one way and all I have to do if twist the swing around and shes entertained again. The moving mobile and variety of music is also pretty great. It's also at a pretty good height I'm able to keep a bin of extra diapers, wipes, clothes, blankets and other supplies in for the living room out of the way and neat so I don't have to run back and forth. She seems comfortable for the most part in the swing although her head sometimes ends up drooped to a side a little bit so I'm not sure if it's just her or a thing with the pillow. Another thing...

Fisher-Price '08 Papasan Cradle Swing

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This swing was my sons favorite, am so sad he recently outgrew it! It was the only way he would nap during the day if we were at home.

Pros: Very soft cover and easy to wash, 4 different sounds to sleep by, fun mobile that spins with the music, can swing side to side or front to back, easy to change which way it swings, batteries last a long time, can run anywhere because it is battery powered (we had quite a few outages and were so happy that we did not have a plug in swing), has a play tray if you are into that (we tried to use it as a sleep tool so decided not to have him use the tray so he would associate it with nap time.)

Cons: Its a cream color so gets dirty easy (although easy to w...

The Baby papasan cradle swing is awesome!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I bought this swing from target when I was pregnant with my first child. I was intrigued at how different and more cradle like the swing looked from other baby swings. The swing is comfortable and has held up great through four kids. It still looks brand new! Another great feature of this swing is that it can change postions so baby can swing from side to side or from front to back. Because of the cradle like swing, this swing is ideal for newborns and there are no worries of baby's head falling .the swing is soft and has many different music/sound choices. Many have stated that the swing eats batteries but I have not found that to be true. In fact, the batteries I put put in for my first child lasted through my second child! This swing is a bit more expensive than other baby swings on the market but well worthe the investment.  The only con is that it can take up a good amount of space but this is definitely not a deal breaker

The Papasan Cradle Swing is 1 of the best purchases I ever made!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I first came accross this swing when I was a Nany for Triplets in 2005. I was impressed with its features and with how much easier it made for me to care for the 3 babies. I promised myself I would buy one when my turn came to become a mommy! My mother bought me the Fisher-Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing when I was pregnant with my son in 2006. We bought it for $140 at Target. It was one the best purchases I ever made and I strongly recommend it to all mommies out there! It was very easy to set up and my baby boy LOVED it! I particularly liked the way it helps the baby to comfortably seat on an elevated position, which was wonderful for me because both my babies had reflux issues and th...

Sanity Saver!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My mother bought us this baby swing at a yard sale and I am so glad she did!  The Fisher Price Papasan Swing was a big sanity saver!  There are times when a mother just needs a few peaceful moments to herself.  It's hard to get those couple of breaths in when you have a screaming, pooping, spitting up, fidgeting, cranky baby in your arms.  This swing would actually soothe our fussy newborn and infant.  Our daughter loved playing in her swing.  She LOVED the mirror and would look at herself and smile.  After she got a little heavier, the swing did seem to have trouble swinging, but I was never sure if it was from the weight or batteries.  It would have been GREAT if there was an adapter that could plug into the wall so we didn't have to waste so many batteries.  The swing has two different positions, you can lay baby flat or sit him or her up slightly.  It also faces two different ways, rocking from side to side or front to back.

Fisher Price Swing is dangerous!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I received the Fisher Price papasan swing as a gift when my daughter was about two weeks old.  I loved it!  It was fabulous.  Especially when I needed a little break in between baby naps.  The swing worked wonders at keeping my baby entertained while we ate and cleaned around the house.  As she got bigger, it was still great until she was about five months old.  I did not have the tray on and somehow she got out of the buckles and flipped out of the swing.  I heard the commotion and ran into the living room to find my little baby on the floor face down right underneath this swing.  I rushed her to the emergency room and had her checked out.  Thank God she was okay, but I never again put her in the swing.    I ended up selling it on craigslist because I didn't even want it in my house anymore.  I would recommend getting a swing that is lower to the ground that swings and bounces.  This swing is just too high off the ground!

Best swing you can buy!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I used this swing through three children and can't say enough wonderful things about it.  It lets a younger baby snuggle into the seat or sit up slightly and there are so many settings from quiet, to music, to nature sounds, to rain, etc.  I also love that you can turn the swing itself to switch between a front to back swing and a side to side swing depending on the prefererance of your baby and just to switch it up from time to time.  The fabric comes off and is machine washable and there is an adorable mobile that spins around baby's head as the swing moves and music plays.  And even better in the center of the mobile is a mirror so baby can gaze up at themselves. When baby gets older it comes with a toy bar that attaches onto the swing and keeps interest a bit longer although I found that by about 4-5 months we were done with it.  The only drawback is that it seems to eat batteries up super fast although I am sure that is true of most.

A MUST have for all new parents!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

One of my all time favorite baby brands is Fisher Price.  Why you may ask well plain and simple they stand by their products.  One product in particular is their cradle swing, yes the styles and patterns are updated every year or so but the core of the product remains the same.  I have had these swings for both of my boys and they LOVED it.  (Mind you one is WAY harder to please than the other one.)  The mobile had gone out with my swing and all I did was call Fisher Price give them a little information about my product and myself and they said that they would send a brand new part.  I asked if they wanted me to send the broken part and they said no, just throw it out.  Talk about customer service!!  I have not ever had a problem with mine other than that and was glad that it was a quick fix.  I love the plug in adaptor that they now have as well because the older version with the batteries really puts hurt on the finances...lol

not for fluffy babies!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Ok so when i first got this product at my baby shower i was super excited to use it.  It was somewhat easy to put together, and it didnt' take a huge chunk of time.  Once my baby was born he loved it.  It would quietly swing, no squeaks, and put him to sleep.  Also the moving objects and mirrored bottom kept him entertained till he fell asleep while i was getting things done around the house.  It was a GREAT product for the first 3 months, then when my baby started to grow it suddenly would stop swinging in the middle of the night or afternoon.  I figured it was the batteries so i went and replaced those, but sure enough i would turn it on and hear it starting to work then it would just stop.  My baby was about 15 -20 lbs and i haven't been able to use it since.  If i take him out of it and turn it on it works just fine... So if you have a healthy baby i would not suggest getting this product.

Life Saver

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is a wonderful swing.  We spent more on it upfront, but saved by not having to buy batteries.  It has cute songs that it plays and several levels of rocking.  My daughter loved this swing.  It did have problems with the motor after about 3 months of use, but Fisher Price replaced easily. Since then, we never had any problems.  The fabric is a little hard to clean, but not impossible.  It also pilled a little after washing it.  The seat has 3 recline level.  This makes it really nice for the baby phase and as they grow they can be sitting up a little more.  The only thing I wished that this swing offered was a infant body pillow.  When my daughter was tiny, we had to stuff blankets into the swing in order to get it to where she was comfortable.  This made it bulky, but kept her from cruching up.  It does have a head pillow too though that can be moved around or taken off if needed.  Overall the swing is wonderful!
