I bought this product for my 14 month old son and he immediately began playing with it right away. He loses interest in toys so quickly because he would rather climb, throw a ball or ride his little car. However, this toy keeps his interest and he loves to open and close the doors. The doors make make animal noises and he learned to "moo" like the cow. He carries this toy all over the house and constantly wants to play with it over his other toys. He enjoys trying to make other toys fit inside the barn. He will take his little cars and roll them in and out of the barn through the doors. He is 18 months old now and this is still his go to toy. He also carries the animals and the farmer around with him in a little basket. We have a farm animal book and we match up the animals from this set to the book and he gets so excited. This toy is a great way to teach him animals, their sounds and dexterity with opening and closing the doors and putting the animals inside the barn. We like playing "farm" with him too. The imagination is endless. We will get to playing and an hour will go by in no time. I am such a huge fan of all the toys in the little people series. He has a couple of different little people items from fisher price and they are great for his size and age. I am also a huge fan of Fisher Price's customer service. I called them because my son lost a piece to the set and I wanted to know if they sold replacements. The representative on the line was so friendly, spoke clearly, engaged me in conversation and was so helpful. The company sent me a replacement piece. I could not be more happy with this product and a company that stands behind their products.

I originally got this as a gift when my son was a year old. The manufacture recommends it for 1-4 year olds. He played with it some immediately. He loves all the songs and noises it made. He also loves the little doors. When he was 2 I put it in a closet since he hadn't been playing with it and forgot about it. Now at 3 1/2 I pulled it out and he LOVES it. He plays with it constantly. Before it was more about cause and effect (pushing the buttons to hear the noises) and now it's about imaginary play. He loves to pretend the animals are interacting. Even my 6 year old niece likes playing with it! This is one of the very few toys we've had that has really lasted for multiple years in terms of keeping interest. It's very sturdy - shows no signs of wear after 2 1/2 years. The songs are a little loud (so kind of annoying for me if I'm trying to focus on something while he's playing) but he loves that part of it. It only goes off when you press buttons so it's better than a lot of toys.
