After purchasing a small bottle of this at a salon, I was skeptical. I am over 50 and have long thick dry curly hair that always looks frizzy after washing. When I put on a few drops of this after washing and conditioning, I was happy that it worked! Now, I want to find more to buy, because it has become my go-to product that I cannot live without. I now have the curly look I've wanted without having my hair look dry or coarse or flat.

I'm a white boy who knows how hard it is to find a review on a serum from a person with non-ethic hair.This is one of those products that works every time. My hair is full thick,medium length,over processed, straightened constantly, blonde and wavy.ive tried this both ways. Out of the shower and before I straightened. My favorite is before I straighten. It lasts, I sleep in it and it stays moist, and stops breakage. Lets:get: technical: after styling is finished: Smell:not strong and it smells like product not perfume. Feel:instant silk (be sure to comb) very natural to the point it almost feel cold like virgin hair usually feels (virgin hair feels almost cold) and sexy enough for your boyfriend to touch it and not be grossed put. It's a full silky control serum that may only do one trick but it doesn't harm your hair like ones with harsh chemicals that try to fix 80 things "wrong with hair" in one serum. This product worked better in my hair than silkworks or biosilk. Okay my hair: Bleached platnium blonde Flat ironed everyday Naturally full thick and as coarse as tumble weed and dry Wavy and flippy Hard to mask I'm am Caucasian Okay what I did: Instead of putting it on after my hair dried for a heavy effect as i usually do I followed the directions. Before using i had just bleached then toned with purple shampoo. I put silk drops in my wet hair. I let my hair naturally dry and then flat ironed it. What it did: It hid all my damage, made it shine, felt just as good after styling, and was able to be slept in and still hold my straight style.it lasted for two days with no drying and it's that one product that makes hair feel baby smooth, last long and looks go. Also it smells decent and not too strong at all. I smell the bottle just for the enjoyment sometimes

I always like trying new and different hair products. Because of all of the heat styling I do to my hair, I like to use extra conditioners and styling products to help with dryness and smoothness. FX Special Effects Silk Drops Sheer Liquid Silk Smoothing Serum was introduced to me by a friend who is also a hair stylist. Plus, it very affordable compared to other products like it. After blow drying and styling my hair I use this to add extra shine and smoothness and it works wonderfully. It also helps create softness. However, if you use too much of the product it can leave your hair looking slightly greasy and leave that greasy feel to it. So, it's good to be careful when you use it that you only do so sparingly. But when used in the proper amount it works great. One other drawback is the dispenser. I don't like that you can easily pour more than the amount necessary, that could be improved upon. In general, though I really do like this product and would recommend to anyone that wants to create a little extra shine and softness to their hair.

 This is my favorite hair serum and I love how smooth and soft my hair feels after using it. The biggest complaint I have about this product is the container, if the bottle gets knocked over even with the lid closed it will still seep over everything. Silk Drops is a heavier duty humectant and it protects my curls pretty well. It has an oilier feel to it and feels thick (but not a thick as olive oil). It's a great detangler and makes it so much easier to comb my hair after shampooing and conditioning. I use this product on both damp and dry hair being careful not to use too much or my hair will look like I added oil to it. I can only describe the scent as a soapy musk (?), it's a unique scent but not offensive. I have gotten a little bit of a build up before but that was easily remedied by using a regular shampoo instead of a deep moisturizing one. A 4-ounce bottle usually lasts me several months making it a great value.

As the mother of 4 very long-haired, beautiful girls I have searched far and wide for a hair serum that will allow me to comb out their hair with the least possible pain.  Due either to a low tolerance for pain or just the sheer amount of hair that has to be combed out, my daughters cringe at the thought of bath time.  They absolutely hate getting their hair combed.  We have found success with other hair serums.  Unfortunately, they cost alot of money for a small amount.  A small bottle doesn't go far with 4 heads of hair.  So when I came upon FX Special Effects Silk Drops, I was cautiously optimistic during our first use of the product.  I'm pleased to announce that the results were what we had all hoped for.  All 4 girls reported  a decrease in pain as I was able to comb through their hair with much more ease than normal.  And the second best thing (besides the fact that it works) is that it doesn't cost a lot.  A very reasonable price for a great product.

I bought this a few weeks ago hoping to find something to soothe my dry ends.  When I applied it to my hair, carefully follwoing the directions, there seemed to be no difference whatsoever.  I'm trying to grow out my hair for locks of love and I need to take super good care of it so the person who gets my hair will have beautiful results.  My dry hair seemed to eat the liquid up without any real results.  It seemed like I was just adding more water to my hair.  Frizz stayed and so did the dry ends. I guess I'll keep looking!  :o)
